3/25/2025: The two of us stopped in for dinner and was pleasantly surprised. The decor is very warm and welcoming, high ceilings and art of Frida Kahlo. Service very friendly and attentive. Lovely space! Great vibe. The food was good but there are a couple of misses on the menu. First, the beans have great flavor but they're waaaay too liquid IMO. I love whole beans so this was a bummer. The combo appetizer platter was a bit odd. Very sparsely portioned in an attempt to look fancy with four small slices of baguette at each corner, but other than those things, we had a great meal and drinks. Food was slightly above standard Mexican fare and restaurant had a nice ambience. I would however expect homemade tortillas given prices and “gourmet” being in the name. No draft beer either, despite menu stating so, resulting in less value for money. Good overall.
