We went to San Martin for our 35th wedding anniversary. They have a unique menu but was overpriced for the meal. We were expecting something unique and savory, something that would knock our socks. We had the duck and New York steak. The steak had good flavor but was medium and not medium rare as ordered and the duck was overcooked, dry with not much flavor. Only the calimari met our expectations. The tomato with calimari was excellent I only wish it would have been served with...
We absolutely loved our Saturday night Date-night here. Gigantic free parking lot across the street and plenty of street parking at 7pm on a Saturday night. We were greeted as soon as we opened the door and shown to the table. It was a normal busy Saturday night and they said that they were short staff but I couldn’t tell. Wow wow wow! This was by far the best meal I have had on the west coast. Every plate was phenomenal and the service was great. We had a chance to speak with Martin and Steve who were so kind and told us all about the place. We ordered the flat iron steak, another steak (with parsley butter but forgot the name), and the stuffed chicken (you MUST try this if nothing else). We also tried the calamari and mushroom pastry (another must try!!). No notes - fantastic experience!
