Hi tiktok. It’s your favorite chai champion speaking. Got me a nice sweet cuppa pumpkin ginger chai here on a classically rainy fall day and it was sweet let me tell you. Got a little headache from the sugar but I should probably know you ought to be a sugary gal for this kinda thing. Would love to see more vegan baked goods, but I also came late in the afternoon so perhaps they were just gone

We saw this cute bakery on a recent weekend, daytrip to Bainbridge, and we had to drop-in (as we love a good pastry).
Unfortunately, by the time of our visit around 1:00pm, the selection was very limited - and staff seemed “over it.” We tried to be understanding, as the lines were long - and we assumed they had been all day. Still, it made the experience less enjoyable - especially after waiting in the before mentioned long line.
We hurried to order a slice of chocolate cake and a slice of pie. When we ate them later, both were pretty tasty - especially the crust on the pie - which was special.
I think this is a spot I would have loved under different circumstances - less people, more selection, friendlier staff, and available seating. Maybe we’ll try to visit during the week - versus the weekend - next time.
Pro-Tip: While the bakery has limited seating, there are lovely, public seating options throughout the downtown corridor.

Incredible quiche and a great croissant. The quiche was light as a cloud and perfectly seasoned. Don't miss out on this place! There's often a line but it moves quick.

Best Scone of my Life. Relaxing Saturday morning on the island, we came in to Blackbird for breakfast. We ordered coffee, paprika scones, cinnamon roll and the savory croissant. The scone was the best breakfast item I've had in a long time. Scones can be dry, but not this one - fresh and soft in the right places. It's one of those experiences you will think about later. Visited 9/2024.

Top-tier baked goods, we tried the cookies as well as the savory croissants. They were all very tasty filled with butter and cheese.
Don’t be intimidated by the line- it moves quickly and the staff knows what they are doing. We ordered iced chai, and when they
asked “turmeric or ginger” I felt the only proper answer was both. I’m here to tell you that if they ask you, the answer is still both. We also had pain au chocolat, a savory croissant, a blueberry Mezza Luna (like an old school hand pie), a salted caramel croissant apple fritter, and some sort of triple chunk cookie that melted in your mouth. I can’t pick a favorite so I’ll need to go back and reassess.
Dietary restrictions: Several well marked gluten free items

Good coffee and very tasty quiche. The oat and apricot scone was good too. The place isn't very big and it gets crowded fast.
