Highside Distilling

I had a great time sampling tastings with my girlfriend here. We stopped in after some Christmas shopping for what we thought would be a quick cocktail before heading home, but ended up staying for over an hour and a half.

Dylan was very knowledgeable and passionate about the distilling process, and he walked us through each drink they produce (and entertained all my questions about the history behind them). Both Rob and Dylan were great company and we felt like regulars as soon as we sat down at the bar.

After chatting about our favorites from the tastings we left with a bottle of their Harvest Gin and Eagle Harbor Brandy to impress my girlfriend’s family for the holidays, as well as a few cocktail recipes that they shared. We’ll definitely make a visit next time we’re in Bainbridge. Awesome drinks and awesome conversations. My significant other is posting her review on Yelp if you’re interested in her experience.

Its rare to go to a tasting room that has this many amaros. They were all delicious and well worth the stop!

We had such a fun time here. We got this recommendation from a bartender near the Queen Anne district. They said high side distillery was a must try place on Bainbridge Island.

Getting there, the drive was really simple and the surroundings beautiful. The distillery itself is tucked away in the back near some other garages. There is parking near there but it is limited.

We chose to sit outside because it was such a beautiful day. The service there was great because the individual behind the bar was very attentive, asked us questions about what we liked, and gave recommendations based on our answers.

We wanted to start off with the flight, which was a great option because it helped us really decide on the drinks we wanted to try out that were recommended to us.

In the end we got two drinks each and walked away with a bottle of brandy and gin. Safe to say that we enjoyed what we tasted.

Highly recommend if you are in the area and want a nice chill experience.

Friendliest Distillery around! Their spirits are unique and lovely. Just discovered them in June and have already ordered more online and made a second trip to stock up.

Really awesome local, family-owned distillery. We had a fantastic tasting experience with Matt and Helen. We came for the amari, but everyone in the group left with a bottle of single malt whiskey. Really nice, well-rounded liquors for a tasting flight. Thank you again so much for the great time and customer service!

Amazing distillery run by amazing people - sincerely amazing gins & as of today, their first whiskey! Also some of the best cocktails in Seattle, honestly competing with the dedicated cocktail bars of Belltown/Capital Hill. Worth making the time for, and worth returning to again and again :)
