what a wonderful unplanned stop this afternoon. enjoyed a small portion of the drinking chocolate, it was decent. The bonbons however, were fantastic. My personal favorite was the peanut butter raspberry, yuzu was a close second, but all were great flavors! Beautiful colors, and special packaging. A great shop for a special gift!

What a fun little shop. This is worth the walk up the stairs from the sidewalk. A charming shop owner sold us on her drinking chocolate made with lactose-free milk (hurray!). Unlike the "hot chocolate" at Starbucks that is neither hot nor tastes of chocolate, this drinking chocolate was thick and rich without being too sweet. A non-edible chocolate fountain made for a cool piece of decor. A big flat screen display was tuned to a YouTube channel showing charming birds in a snowy forest. Overall it was a very nice stop on our walking tour of the little downtown.

I love their chocolate at the Bainbride location. Their products are beautiful and taste wonderful. I will definitely go back.

Gorgeous chocolates and truffles that tasted AMAZING and a lovely selection of edible gifts that look too beautiful to eat! The drinking chocolate was warm and decadent and just perfect. Would happily stop in again!

Fantastic selection of confectionary chocolate. The sipping chocolate was pretty good! Have I had better? Yes, but really this was up there, especially for the price, and I'd say it's the best in the Seattle area. I tried the bars they had, and they were good. But I think where they really shine is the truffles and confectionary creations. They were amazing. That's what I would come here for again!

The shop is very inviting so I took a chance and ordered a nine piece box plus one. The chocolates are $3 a piece so about average in price. I've paid more and less. However these are a bit smaller. The chocolates weren't great. The flavors of some of them didn't shine through and the texture felt off. The whiskey caramel was the only one I really liked. I get wine and chocolates every where I visit so I feel like I know a good chocolate when I taste one. Obviously I wanted them to be pure joy and I was confident enough committing to a $55 tab which also included a lemon curd cookie, chocolate bark and a dark chocolate peanut butter cup. The cookie was so bad it should be immediately discontinued. It must have come from Cosco. Everything else was fine.

This quietly tucked away shop on Winslow is a perfect place to indulge yourself. The choices are plenty. No matter what you get it's tasty up here. I was fascinated by the waterfall wall of chocolate. Based on the store owner's recommendation, I did pick a desert wine - Black Heron Syrah dessert wine. It was full bodied with bursting taste of berries. Its perfect with ice cream or cheesecake. The store decor was pleasant and not cramped or clustered. The owner was very friendly. In fact we were there on a sunny day and she offered to store our chocolates till the closing time so that it was cool. When we said we may not be able to pick it up on time, she offered a couple of ice packs to keep it cool - this is what I call exemplary service.

We got the 16 piece chocolate box & a hot cocoa. The hot cocoa was the closest replica to try Parisian hot cocoa we've found here in the states, truly indulgent. Our highlights from the chocolate box were: passion fruit, salted caramel, dulce de lèche & yuzu. The shop itself was absolutely adorable and the chocolatier working was incredibly charming! They also had chocolate creations/art that were fascinating to look at .

Check out L'Atelier's new and permanent location across from T&C on Winslow Way, Bainbridge Island. The kids will be fascinated by the "wall of chocolate" while you try to make impossible choices of which delicious treats to buy.In addition to their own chocolates, they also carry chocolates from ChocMo. And they have some pastries.Friendly and knowledgeable staff.

I had the croque madame today and it was utterly divine! Always something new, interesting, and delicious on top of a heavenly waffle. Can't wait until they have thier Winslow spot open too but I live super close to the original location it's hard to not go there daily!

These chocolates are among a cluster of other small businesses in a relatively new complex of metal buildings. Tran served up a delicious cup of hot chocolate with house made marshmallows and whipped cream. The perfect pick me up for the afternoon. We also sampled the chocolate truffle with a raspberry gin filling wrapped in a blanket of white chocolate. Scrumptious!

Service was great and the food was prepared relatively promptly. Industrial/open layout was cool and fit the character of the area.Partner got a breakfast waffle and hot chocolate and seemed to like both. I took a sip of the hot chocolate and thought it was way too sweet.I got a liege waffle: it seemed to be undercooked as it was quite wet/mushy and the somewhat clumped together sugar "pearls" in the interior fold were not very melted (or evenly distributed). The addition of the sugar inside made things cloyingly sweet, if I'm ever back I'll ask if they can make it without as the powdered sugar on top was more than enough. It was also pretty heavy butter-wise and I can usually inhale croissants no prob.I considered checking out their chocolate confections but they were pretty dang expensive. Bainbridge prices seem to start at upper-middle class and only go up from there.Verdict: All things considered, this felt like expensive circus food: way too rich/heavy. If someone really has a hankering it's not worth trying it, but If I lived nearby I don't think I would go here often.

Indulgent lunch! The most amazing tomato soup with melted cheese covered waffle - delicious. Then a different kind of waffle with chocolate sauce and strawberries.

Waffles (i had a cheesy one with tomato soup) and beautiful chocolates, and so nice. I had no idea about dining in, but they have it and I’m excited to return.

This is the type of food you eat and think to yourself, "I wish I could make this!" My nieces and I each ordered a different savory waffle -- the All Day Breakfast with bacon and prociutto (why choose one?), the Cheesy Waffle with Tomato Soup, and the Grilled Chicken...it was hard to pick a favorite, they were all so good! The texture of the waffles were amazing...lightly crispy on the outside and fascinatingly light and airy on the inside. This is a newly-opened place with a steady stream of customers from just word-of-mouth...anticipate long lines once advertising starts!
