What a great winery, and as a bonus Mike (owner who does everything at the winery)
gave us a few history lessons & little known facts about WA. We’re from California visiting & we thoroughly the winery and meeting Mike!!
Excellent wines with many of them local to Bainbridge Island from grapes grown at the winery. Mike was a very conversational and informative host! We shipped several bottles back home.
Wonderful one-man operation specializing in cold weather varietals that are uncommon in the U.S. very knowledgeable and friendly owner/operator who conducts the tastings. Wines are quite unusual but very enjoyable. Highly recommended.
Had an amazing day on bainbridge trying to do local stuff and not look like a tourist that came just for the downtown vibe. I love wine tasting but wanted to find a small out of the way place. So thankful that the white wine sign didn’t deter us. Not only was all the wine good, I’d have to say the conversation and educational information about the history of the island was the best.
If you are one of those pretentious people who only want to drink wine and gossip with friends, find another place. If you want to actually enjoy the small farms on the island come here first! Mike was full of info and so very helpful and kind!
If you love a delicious dry wine this is the place for you! Fantastic wines and an even more fantastic and knowledgeable owner!
Quaint lovely spot! Visit to enjoy a delicious tasting with a passionate sole proprietor!
went there almost a month ago but just opened the wine i had purchased, and it reminded me that this experience definitely deserved a review. the wine is really good, i’ve been weird about wine but seriously, this has changed how i’ve felt. along with the actual visitation of the place where they grow everything, it’s amazing. the owner had so many interesting stories that really reel you in, i could’ve listened to him for hours. he was kind, generous with the samples, and had so much backstory as well as explanation for everything that’s in each of his wines. i recommend fully. he made us feel like he was really having a conversation with us, not like how most places make it feel like they’re just trying to sell you something and don’t actually care. this place cares. it made our trip to bainbridge worth it!
Went on a Saturday afternoon and had a FANTASTIC time. Learned a ton about the landscape of vineyards in the region, cool climate wine grape growing, the history of Bainbridge, AND got to taste 5 great wines. Highly suggest getting up to Perennial for a tasting if you're on the island!!
Really great selection of unique wines you won’t find anywhere else in WA! Mike is extremely knowledgeable and kind, 10/10 recommend!
This is a must-stop spot for any Bainbridge day trip. The vinter/host/owner was a great host, very knowledgeable. A lot of the wine served was front grapes grown from a few hundred feet away. Wine from Western Washington-grown grapes is a refreshing change from the norm.
We took the bus here from the ferry terminal, which was very easy.

Host is knowledgeable and good selection of wines!
Intimate, guided wine tasting with the owner who is very passionate about his craft. We showed up without a reservation or anything, and were a little intimidated by the intimate setting at first as you are at the owners home, but were welcomed warmly right away and directed to a table on the small patio/lawn area overlooking the vineyard. The owner came over and explained that there are 5 bottles open for tasting, and for $20 you get to try all 5 wines, but the fee is waived if you buy two bottles of wine. As the owner will explain, he grows his own grapes on the island which is unique, as Washington is a cold climate so the variety of grapes available for wine-making is limited to those that can grow in cold climates which is very cool and unique. We loved every wine we tried and were tempted to buy all 5, and after hearing the owners stories, history, and generally having a nice time chatting, we bought 2 bottles and had one tasting fee waived. Very excited to crack a bottle with his suggested food pairings.
Absolutely delicious wine (we loved the whites, with the grapes grown on the property!!!) and very knowledgable and kind owner!
Perennial Vintners was the best wine I tasted on Bainbridge island! Mike does everything himself from growing the grapes to making the wine to running the tasting room. He is super knowledgeable and fun to talk to. We left with a trunk full of wine! It doesn’t look like much from the outside, but trust me, give it a try!
Unique, local business owned by a knowledgeable, welcoming host. Will visit again!
