They were packed when we got there, and I can see why. Had the fish and chips, and it was amazing. My friend and I should have split an order it was so big! Very good!

Walking about 15 min from the ferry is a cool seafood spot. I ordered chowder and the lobster roll. Chowder was fantastic, one of the best. The roll was good but for me it needed just a bit of mayo and some more seasoning. The fries were not good. They looked good but the texture was just way off and not good at all. Id go back to get the chowder for sure. Its worth the walk by itself.

The serving is massive. Whole cod fish fillet is battered and fried. I loved the crisp on the outside but i wish the batter is a bit lighter as i still found some wet batter inside. The fish i a bit to soft for my liking, however the sauce gave a lovely balance to the rich batterd fish. The restaurant offer both inside and outside seat

They claimed to be the best fish and chips in Seattle area, but these were not it! I’ve had better fish n chips in the middle of Kansas. These were so gross! Could not finish the fries. Ketchup couldn’t even save them. The mushy peas is so gross. The only reason why I could eat the fish was because of the tartar sauce. And for $22 plus tax, not worth it. So disappointed. The batter to the fish wasn’t really touching the fish either. It was plain. So GREASY too! Like I had to take my napkins and screen the fish in my hand to collect some of the grease off the fish. The tartar sauce and the napkins were the best things here. Customer service was mediocre.

There is no way I come to Bainbridge and not eat at Proper Fish AND AND AND I can attest that the batter is back to its former glory, the peas are just as minty and mushy and the service was on point. Did I also mention that they DO have A/C for those super hot days? Well not what are you waiting for!
Food was great! We ordered chowder, fish tacos and fried oysters. Each dish was scrumptious. The only letdown was the sticky table and the two flies inside the inside dining area.
The prices are ok (see menu board) and we were able to get a table (no lines) because it was a Thursday (visit on a weekday).
