Ginn D Thai Restaurant

I’m shocked this restaurant only has 4.4 stars. The food is fantastic, the containers are awesome and easily storable, and the restaurant was empty this very rainy night. Maybe it was just timing, but this restaurant is bright, and the food is delicious! We ordered three meals, and all were ready in less than 20 minutes.

Why did I wait so long to try it? We will definitely be regulars now.

My wife and I ordered Pad See Yew and Pad Thai to go. Both were fresh and delicious. The dishes weren’t too salty either, which we always appreciate. Will put this place on our rotation.

Heard it was under new ownership, so thought we would give it a try. Ordered the Phad Thai to go. Was surprised by how small the portions were (1/2 the amount of all other local places, for the same price). We usually split annorder of phad thai between two of us, but this wasn't enough for 1 person. The phad thai wasn't horrible, but lacked flavor. Mostly tasted like oily soy sauce noodles. There were 3 tiny bits of chicken, some egg, and a few pieces of scallions, and a dusting of peanut powder. This might be a good fit for someone who prefers plain noodles; however, we prefer there to be a depth of flavor, usually served with some bean sprouts or Veg for texture, and a lime wedge would help. Ultimately, even if the flavor wasn't lacking, the serving size would keep me from going back. They would need to double portions, or cut the price in half; and up the quality/flavor. Hopefully they will sort all of this out as they own it longer.

The menu has so many tasty options it was hard to choose. Our server was so helpful in helping us decide and accommodated some food allergies with ease. The restaurant is peaceful and the staff friendly, we will come back!

I recommend the Khao Soi! So yummy! We also enjoyed the crab Rangoon wontons and shrimp fresh rolls. My family enjoyed the pad Thai, fried rice and one other dish! Will definitely be back.

I ordered the salmon panang and my spouse ordered the chicken Yakisoba kee mao with noodles. Salmon was perfect and delicious. Spouse enjoyed the chicken. They serve wines from eleven winery and we tried a bottle of the Ratio Blanco. It complemented the medium spice of our Thai dishes. This time of year the island is less busy. While we liked not waiting for a table, I can tell the locals are out enjoying the sunshine when they could enjoy some amazing Thai food. We will definitely come back.
