Amazing happy hour oysters and beer

Derrick

This place is a real gem! The food's absolutely incredible, with fresh, local ingredients shining in every dish. The oysters are some of the best I've ever had, and the salmon was cooked to perfection. Plus, the service is impeccable – our server gave us some great drinks recommendations and checked in on us throughout the meal.

If you're looking for a special dining experience with amazing food and a beautiful atmosphere, Seabird definitely won't disappoint.

My wife and I had a fantastic anniversary happy hour/dinner here. $25 for a dozen delicious oysters is a steal; they were so tasty, not a single one was bad. The seaweed bread was good and the b Beecher's and crab-topped toast was just something else. And their old fashioned was very unique; it went down like butter. We sat outside on their small (3-table) patio. Can't wait to go back!

I am not one to post reviews online about anything (other than Uber and Lyft). Seabird compelled me to do it. My wife and I stumbled on to Seabird on 6/30 while taking a quick visit to Bainbridge island to explore for several hours. Wanted to get a quick bite to eat before heading back to Seattle. I happened to glance at the menu posted outside and saw the happy hour oyster special ($2 per). Living in the area of Maine that has dozens and dozens of oyster farms, I was looking forward to trying a more laid back *local* place to sample some pacific NW (specifically WA) oysters. Venturing inside was one of the best decisions of our nearly 2 week trip to the NW. Oysters were amazing. The ceasar salad (all local greens) was perfect. Drinks were great. And much to our surprise, we were comped (sp?) an order of their manila clams which were off the charts. We were especially impressed by the attentive, friendly, knowledgeable and engaging staff. Had a great conversation with the manager. Our server (Anna) was also great. The ferry ride by itself was fantastic (another way to see Seattle). Taking the ferry just to visit Seabird is a no-brainer. This place reminded me of some of Maine's best low-key but off the charts restaurants where one gets amazing local produce and oysters. Could not have been happier with our unplanned visit.

What a wonderful experience. Malia was warm, talented, fast and thoughtful with serving me at the bar. The food was rich and prepared excellent. I will be back with my husband so he can enjoy the luxury I was provided this afternoon: thank you seabird!

This is the best place to enjoy a great meal on Bainbridge. Very skilled, creative executive using local foods. Oysters are always top notch. Fun staff and relaxed atmosphere. We enjoy it every time!

Excellent oysters. Good service. The food is a bit overpriced and you could probably do better in Seattle. I’ve only had the chance to visit Bainbridge a few times and haven’t had any stellar dining experiences. Unsure if it’s just the vibe of the island or chance.

We sat at one of the outdoor tables and had a delightful dinner. We found the service to be outstanding and the food to be original, adequately complex and most of all, delish'! The mussels were plentiful with a thick piece of toasted sourdough and the tofu carrot plat (yes tofu) was a fun appetizer to begin with. In our case, the host and server were excellent at their job.

I was truly disappointed yesterday. I had tried this restaurant a couple of years ago. Loved it and wanted to bring back some special friends that were visiting from out of town. I emailed for a table of six a couple weeks ago and received a response saying that they were already booked for large parties. But we were still on the island so I decided to try my luck with a walk-in. I told the host that we were a party of six but we could sit separately. I was told that they will not split parties, but I explained that we are two separate families so we can actually sit as two different parties.

The host really had a hard time with this and had to think really hard and I felt like I was making him work too had to accommodate us so I declined and let him know that we will just come back another time. But what he said was perplexing …he said that he had to do some algebra so he needed some time, I’m not sure what kind of ‘algebra’ he needed to do to provide two tables ..anyways I went in just before 5 o’clock so the place was empty.

The food here is amazing based on my previous visits, but a dining experience truly begins with the host. I hope they can be more welcoming and accommodating for future guests.

Can’t go wrong with oysters and bubbly, especially after biking around the island. It was a great stop en route to the ferry after a long bike ride. Decent price per oyster if you catch HH. A great spot but definitely touristy.

Parking: It’s a touristy strip en route to the ferry, so parking can be tricky.

Came here for lunch and the Japanese fusion inspired seafood dishes were amazing. Every dish on the small but thoughtfully crafted menu looked appetizing, but we especially loved the scallop crudo, albacore ceviche, and Dungeness crab toast. The homemade kombucha was also delicious. I could have easily gotten a double order of every one of these!

Sought to get a table, the place was partly busy, but not incredibly. Our group of three, a bit more casually dressed, was told by a server they'd get to us momentarily, the server then proceeded to serve four tables, one repeatedly and ignore us, walking past us multiple times with no update. We left.
