Streamliner Diner

Really tasty tofu & veggies with hash browns! The flavor of the tofu & veggies is Asian-inspired (ginger & tamari). Nicely cooked and all very good (though a bit small for the price, but that’s standard for Bainbridge). They also have soyrizo, vegan chili, & veganizable burrito and sandwich options. One of the best/only options in Bainbridge, as it’s not a very vegan friendly place.

Had the chicken club, overall good flavor chicken was a little dry. Great service, cute place.

TLDR: Poor customer service, poor food, over loaded kitchen.

We visited streamliner today for the first time. It was a 35 minute wait for a table, which was fine.

We (2 people) ordered immediately upon sitting and it took 50 minutes to get our food and there were only 3 other parties in the restaurant. When I asked about the status of our food I was told it was “being made now” and started coming out piece meal over 10minutes

Unfortunately, my French toast was completely soggy and uncooked and my partners hashbrowns were also complete mush - despite being ordered extra crispy.

When we confronted the staff about the issues with food items we were given $6 off the total bill, which we felt was inadequate.

The only saving grace of the experience was Leanna who was a good host.

New to Bainbridge and won’t be eating here again. The waitresses were nice, but it took +1.5 hours to receive our food (2 people). Multiple tables came, ate, and left before we were served. No one waitress was responsible for any table, so it was extremely hard to even ask questions or get water. It was a busy morning, but way too long for the quality of food. Skip this one!

Food was outstanding. However, the wait was insane; spent more than an hour at the table waiting for food. No water refills were offered. However, they asked multiple times if we needed $12 drink refills. If you want to have time exploring, skip this place.

Very poor quality of service and food. We waited for an hour to get the reservation (which is fine) and then another hour to literally get our food. Waitress never bothered to check on us or refill water once food was ordered. Hash browns were soggy so I think they were just microwaved. Seems like they are popular because there’s no other option for a brunch spot. This restaurant really needs to up level itself.

I really wanted to like this place. My Wife liked her sandwich but I was super disappointed with my Eggs Benedict. Unfortunately the yolks were cooked hard, which doesn’t make a good poached egg and ruins the dish. I would have actually asked for new eggs but our waitress never asked how the food was; we were never checked in on, which was disappointing. Too bad, you were so close.

The food was excellent. We had green machine with biscuit, waffle and bacon among us. There was some inconsistency in the service. It seemed like no one in particular was responsible for us, so it took a long time to order. The cook was nice and got us a biscuit early, which really saved us with our 8 year old, who was very hungry! Overall, a great experience. Coffee was strong and delicious as was the food. Easy to overeat!

It's a diner, but with many interesting variations. Perfect poached eggs figure prominently. Vegetarian chili exactly what my doctor ordered.

We came here on a Saturday morning at about 9 AM and the blonde woman with glasses was not very friendly to start off. The entire sit up bar was practically empty, along with two tables and there were about 10 people standing outside in the cold rain, waiting to be seated. We asked if we could sit up at the bar and she said those seats were taken and that our wait would be about a half an hour. She proceeded to ask us to not stand in the restaurant and go next-door to the Town and Country grocery store and wait. It wasn’t a very good first impression. After waiting about five minutes, she finally sat us up at the bar, and the rest of the experience was fairly positive. She did proceeded to thank us multiple times for being patient and waiting to be seated. Everybody else was friendly, and we did not have to wait long for the food. The hashbrowns were basic, but the egg sandwich and the green machine were good. It’s a little better than a basic diner experience and I would recommend stopping here when visiting the island.

When I arrived, the waitress told me it would take a maximum of 20 minutes, but an hour and a half later, we still hadn't been able to eat. The place wasn't full, and the waitresses were playing and laughing, not caring that some people were waiting to place their orders. I took my mother-in-law to Bainbridge Island for the first time with limited time, but I had the bad luck of choosing this place at random. I'm leaving this comment so that if anyone else is deciding at random, they don't make the same mistake of choosing this place, especially if you only have one day on the island. It will ruin all your plans.

Pretty standard diner, maybe a little nicer than most. Good service, good food at a fair price, especially for Bainbridge. Great place for late breakfast early lunch
