Visited here after library. First time. Got a hot breve latte and cream cheese danish. Barista was older, not friendly. Russian, possibly. I requested no foam, she looked annoyed. Breve was not hot. I could tell by how long she steamed it. It was barely warm. I asked to warm the danish. She did. Barely warm. Sat outside. Was nice. Small seating area. They need to be friendlier and do better on service if they want returning customers.
I really didn't spend much time in this shop and didn't pay attention to details. But I do like the area, was able to walk and chat with my coffee, eventually finding a good outside bench to sit.
Coffee and pastries are decent, atmosphere is cozy. A lot of people complain in reviews about the attitude of the owner, who is usually the only one working. If you're expecting something like what you get at Starbucks--the forced enthusiastic-like conversation asking you what plans you have for the rest of the day and the names of every pet you've ever owned--you can forget it.
