I think they are getting business by just the name of anjappar. The taste and quality of the food is no way close to the real anjappar restaurant taste in india or even the anjappar restaurants in US which I have been to multiple locations. Had a lot of expectation and was very unsatisfied with the taste and quality of the food. Mutton chukka was not cooked properly at all I think they cooked in a rush. Though the restaurant didn't have many customers at the time of my pick up, still they are preparing food in a hurry I think and wasn’t good at all. Waste of time and money. If the owner is reading this please consider this as positive feedback and address this issue by analyzing the issues and improving the taste to the anjappar name and expectation, rather than getting angry at the cook or others. Please don’t spoil the name of the anjappar restaurant. Thanks a lot!

The buffet especially is not worth it. The wait times are too long for the food, which is not great by itself.

TL;DR: It's not bad food, but there's some off-putting stuff here.

The biggest warning sign that Anjappar just isn't that good is the way the tiffin room next door has a massive line and Anjappar has none. The second warning sign that something might be amiss is the super strong incense burning in the entrance. Combined with the bottled water they had for the tables, I had to wonder if there was a sewer/plumbing issue. I stank of incense when I left and had to throw all my clothes in the wash and take a shower when I got home.

The food, for all that, wasn't bad. The flavors and spices were muted for an American audience, and the rice wasn't correct, but overall authentic cookery was there. With lots of vegetarian options, Anjappar offers something for everyone. The meat side of the buffet had chicken, goat, and mutton. The one vegetarian dish I missed on the vegetarian side was saag or palak paneer. But there were a lot of choices.

All around, I probably won't be back. There are too many good Indian places around to settle for a middle-of-the-road buffet that smells like an incense shop.

Vegetarian options: There's a ton of vegetarian options here.

Parking: Parking is always tough in this plaza.

We visited first time with family for buffet in Sunday in Bellevue. Spread, ambience was great compared to food. Things that let us down 1. Tandoori chicken. Only color was red taste blank without any spice, we hardly eat it. 2. Desserts. No ice creams. Sweets like jamun, kesari and custard are full of sugar could hardly eat one spoon each. 2 to 3 times normal sweetness. 3. One more chicken fry was really good, goat curry was also good and biryani was again let down.

Very low quality food. I wonder why the real anjappar doesn't care about their brand churning out such worst quality food.
