Ordered veg jalfrezi and chole pindi from uber eats. Full of oil and poorly packed. Should have seen reviews here. No taste, just oil and chole was watery with very few beans.

Unassuming small cafeteria style Indian restaurant on Bellevue Way. The chicken is cooked perfectly. Nice and tender. The sauces have a good depth of flavor. The mam at the register (the owner?) is generous with samples of the sauces so that we picked what we liked. My wife and I got 2 dinners worth for $65

With all due respect, I tried this place on a friend’s recommendation, but it’s by far the worst Indian food I’ve had in Washington.
We ordered four items:
Rumali Roti – Poor quality: thick, doughy, and unpleasant. Kudos for attempting it, but you’ll find far better versions at other restaurants.
Chicken Tikka Masala – Not terrible, but I’ve had much better. The chicken was unnaturally red, likely due to excessive food coloring. The taste was passable and probably the best among the otherwise disappointing dishes.
Dal Makhani – Tasted more like butter than dal. I’ve had dal makhani at many places; while butter is part of the dish, it should never taste like eating a block of butter. This one did, and it wasn’t enjoyable at all.
Vegetable Jalfrezi – I wouldn’t serve this to anyone. This was the worst dish of the lot. It was excessively oily—oil was literally dripping from the container—and to make matters worse, we found plastic in it.
Overall, this place is not worth ordering from. Other reviews expressing similar concerns are absolutely spot on.

Food is good but quantity is very very less for the price charged. Instead of paneer curry they sent dal curry.

In my eyes 3.9 is a perfect rating. The food is so good it’ll make a racist into a liberal. Tandoori chicken was juicy, smoky and packed with spices. You should definitely eat here

Good priced and good taste. Order on app if takeaway.
This was one of my favorite restaurants last year, but now it seems something has changed and the food tastes terrible! Never had Vada pav that was so much dipped in butter! Dahi ke kabab? They were just oily coins, and the two-bite samosas were the cherry on the top! Chole bature has also lost its taste. And now we are bloated for entire night.
The only constant best thing is their tea!

Great find thanks to Matt Norman’s recommendation on his YouTube channel. The flavors were spot on and we love how you can order a full order or half order so you can try everything. The tandoori chicken has a lovely marinade so it is moist and super flavorful. This is our go-to local Indian spot from now on!

I visited Café Bollywood about 9 months ago with my friends, and we loved that it was open till midnight. Back then, I tried the Vada Pav, Chai, Dahi Puri, Dahi Papadi, Samosa Chaat, and especially the Chicken Biryani — which I ordered multiple times because the chicken was tender and the rice was flavorful and perfectly cooked. The food had a strong, comforting Indian touch.
Recently, I ordered takeout again, but the experience felt different. The Chicken Biryani was quite dry and noticeably less flavorful. I also tried the Dahi Puri — all the ingredients were very cold, so it didn’t taste like the authentic version I remembered (though the flavor itself was still decent). The Paneer Pakora was good, but the Bhel Puri tasted off — almost flavorless, like eating just mixture with tomato and onion. They did replace it, but something still felt missing.
Overall, I feel the taste and quality have changed compared to my experience 9 months ago. I hope the old flavors come back!
