Takai by Kashiba Reviews
Could only show 10 of the 25 dishes served! Becoming my favorite omakase in the Seattle area!
Service is excellent. Food is good, but having miso soup toward the end is pretty strange. I thought it should be at the beginning of the omakase course. Overall, we have great experience at this place. I think having a piece of paper to explain dishes would be better.
Costly but worth it.

Takai by Kashiba offers an exceptional sushi experience with 20-25 courses, ideal for those with big appetites. The spacious interior, high ceilings, and elegant atmosphere create a relaxing and refined setting. Guests highly recommend the wine and sake pairing for unique high-end tastings. The restaurant provides great quality food and good value, although liquor prices can be a bit high. The Chef's Table Omakase experience is intimate and authentic, with interactive chefs and comfortable hand-eating of nigiri. The menu features most of the sushi prepared in an aged style, making each bite tender and flavorful. The house soy sauce balances savory notes perfectly, allowing the fish's natural taste to shine. The sushi rice is firm yet soft, enhancing the overall experience.
Presentation is meticulous, with pristine fish like glossy tuna, delicate white fish slices, and subtle crab toppings that add richness. Guests have praised the omakase for including a range of flavors and textures, with some pieces melting in the mouth while others burst with flavor from being seared. The attention to detail and freshness make each course special. Chef Jun Takai combines tradition with new flavors, creating a delicious blend of nigiri and complementary dishes served by him and his engaging team. Many guests appreciate sitting at the counter to fully appreciate the experience, noting that it is an incomparable dining experience to be served the highest grade sushi by a master chef. The ambiance is lively yet comfortable, with both counter and table options available. Visitors have shared that the bento box is outstanding, offering some of the best sushi they've ever had, especially the toro, scallops, uni, and tamago. Overall, Takai by Kashiba is a must-visit for a memorable omakase with impeccable aged sushi, exceptional service, and a welcoming atmosphere.
