Good meal. Service was very good. I was hoping I could say “great”, but when compared to other experiences at places like Sawada, Kyubey, Yasuda, Nakazawa, etc, it’s just ok. Don’t get me wrong - we enjoyed ourselves but it was overpriced when compared to the greats.

My first experience with a Omakase course. All the dishes tasted amazing. My husband and I sat with 10 others around the main sushi bar; an 8 course meal that lasted 2 hours. So many varieties of aged and fish with combos of flavors I wouldn't have tried before. The vibes are upscale with a fine selection of Japanese whiskeys,For the price, it was well worth it in my opinion because of the experience and high quality fish.I hope we will come back again soon.

We have enjoyed their original location in Seattle and continue to go there. Eating at Takai last night was a wonderful experience and we were very impressed with the quality of the dishes we ordered. Service was fantastic! Walking distance from the Westin so we will go again for sure! The bonus was meeting Mr and Mrs Kashiba as well!

Thank you for an amazing dinner and overall experience. Took my friend from Japan who lives the good life and she was incredibly impressed at how authentically Japanese and high quality everything was. Arigato!

Had reservation for 8:00 and arrived on time and had to wait 20-30 mins for table. For the type of experience I'm expecting at an omakase, they didn't seem to care that we had to wait. The receptionist gave another group free drinks while they waited we were not offered anything. Once seated the waitress was the only highlight of the evening. Food was good but there are other better sushi restaurants at this price point with more attention to detail on the customer experience. Another annoying thing was that they provide parking validation for up to 2 hrs, bit on the way out the lady at door said that they should have emailed voucher if not you can email the parking outfit to get refunded. Again overall it's the small things that add up. Not going here again

I've been to several Michelin star restaurants and this experience is right up there. Food and service A plus. Takes me back to my finest sushi meals in Japan. Server was professional, knowledgeable, great sake recommend.

Authentic sushi in Bellevue. No amateur hour fusion rolls. If you're looking for Americanized, cheap fusion sushi covered in sauces to hide the quality of the fish, go to Costco, Safeway, or any number of non-Japanese sushi places. Carefully thought out with every bite having intention. Just like in Japan. The real deal. Will be back.

Amazing quality of sushi, aged to perfection for each morsel. Omakase was picked meticulously with seasonal best from Japan and Northwest. Even had few we had not tried before and we've been going to Shiro-san's establishments for 40 years! Takai is now our favorite over Shiro's and Kashiba in Seattle-side. With easy access and worry free parking in a covered garage, we will be going back soon and often.

As always, an outstanding experience from the Shiro team. Chef Jun was a pleasure to watch and be taken care of by. The whole experience was outstanding! One of the best meals we've had in Seattle, if not anywhere. Can't wait to come back.

The omakase I believe was 24 options and at the end we got to have replays of our favorite. I STRONGLY recommend you get the live seafood option too for an extra fee, the urchin roe was fantastic

This was our second time there. The first time it was absolutely fabulous. We went again to celebrate our anniversary but from moment we sat at our table, it felt rushed. We ordered the Omakase for both of us. The last time we had it, it came out evenly spaced timing to give us a chance to enjoy our each course, but this time, each dish came out really quickly. Just as soon as we had finished one course, someone was right there to pick up the empty plate and within minutes the next course came. For having 16 courses, we were done in an hour and 15 min. They delivered the check before we had even finished our last course of dessert. The meal was ok, some dishes better than other. We had a totally different experience this time than the first time we were there. Initially we thought to bring some out of town guests next month, but decided we would hold off to see again ourselves if it improves.

I should not have ordered the sashimi omakasee. It was just too much sashimi. Good quality but I needed more balance. I will go back to try other dishes because I do think the quality of fish is very good

Delicious omakase. Fantastic service and ambience. The only negative is that we had reservations for 8pm, but did not get seated for 20 minutes. And since there's no room inside to wait, we had to stand outside in the cold. But overall, we think it was worth for the $160 omakase.
