“As far as sushi options at this price point go in Bellevue this is a great spot. I prefer this to japonessa or kobe around the same price point. High quality rolls - ordered spider, unagi, and spicy hamachi, all very good and well rolled. Would order all 3 again. It's not top tier sushi and isn't priced like it, I found a lot of value at the price point.“
“Just went with my partner for our Valentine's Day date, and it was amazing! We had the kitchen bento and the sushi bento as well as the special Sea Dragon roll- it was a perfect lunch date! The sea dragon roll was the highlight, it was balanced and beautiful, I'm struggling to express how perfect this roll is. “Second time going to the restaurant because I was quite impressed on the first visit. On the second visit, we ordered sushi assortment. Everything tasted great except Uni; Uni tasted very bad and rotten with smell of toilet. I wish the chef checks on the freshness of the ingredients more carefully. “Our favorite Japanese restaurant on the east side. Some of our favorite items include the kabocha fried rice, chicken katsu dinner, mackerel / saba, albacore tataki salad, any of the sushi and tempura. It can get busy here for dinner on the weekend, so I suggest reservations.“

“We love going here to eat, it’s nice and fancy but not too pricey and has good sushi. We liked the Sweet Sensation, Mexican ninja, Seattle crunch and skin on skin (in that order). I think the value in a well made California roll is underestimated and oh did they make a mean spicy California roll. Edamame was good too. Not the biggest fan of the scorpion sting and Barcelona sunset.Note: happy hour EVERYDAY (even Saturday) after 9pm and some other midday time. Highly recommend Japonessa.“
“We liked this place overall. The sushi was pretty good quality, we got 6 rolls. Our favorite was the spicy tuna and shrimp tempura. They did mess up and give us a vegetable roll instead of a California roll but they gave us the right roll for free. The place is a bit small and cramped but for the price and quality of sushi it is definitely worth it!“

“There's always a long wait on weekends. Make sure you download their app to join the waitlist ahead of time. But it's worth the wait! Everything is fresh and tasty. I love the huge variety of options. It's also a great place for people not to sure about sushi to try new things or order something else off the hot dish menu.Parking: Make sure you pull onto the bottom floor of the garage it's much harder to access from the upper levels.“

We ordered the crazy horse roll, citrus salmon roll, factoria roll and vegetable tempura.All the rolls were pretty good and the sashimi was smooth. The crazy horse was packed with chunks of salmon, tuna, and hamachi which was nice.The batter on the tempura was decently light and flaky.Overall, this seems like a great non-traditional sushi spot for a large menu of options.“

“This is a belt sushi location. Dishes are prepped and placed on plates that circle around the room for you to take. A menu can be used to order items as well. This means that if there's seating, you're able to sit down and get food instantly.This is a solid destination that makes it easy to dial to your tastes and budget. It's the middle of the road for a sushi restaurant and a better place than chain locations. The versatility makes it somewhere i keep coming back to - the plate pricing allows me to stop in for a quick $15-25 lunch or a nicer $40-60 dinner.Plates start at $3 and go up to around $10 for specialty items. The average plate price is around $6, and you'll probably land in the range of 4 to 7 plates.The atmosphere is moderately noisy, similar to a coffee shop. The bar setup is simple and clean. The ingredients and prep aren't hidden from customers, with the chefs working in a combination center kitchen and back kitchen. Service feels similar - timely, respectful, but occasionally a little swamped if a major rush of orders comes in. Just be patient, they'll get to you within a few minutes tops.Parking is usually available, but can get spotty depending on if you're part of the main dinner crowd on a weekend. Good news is, there's plenty just across the street at the mall if needed.Is it the best sushi I've had? No. But it's not trying to be. It's very far from worst. Is it the cheapest? “We enjoyed real Japanese sushi at lunch prices at this restaurant. The restaurant may seem casual, but the sushi they serve was one of the best in Redmond in my opinion. They also serve American Japanese foods such as "California roll" and "Dragon(?) roll", which were also good. But if you are used to Japanese food, try Japanese authentic ones. I think it is as good as you can enjoy in Japan.“
“I have been dying to come here and let me tell you the entire place does not disappoint!! The food was sooooooo tasty and look so good at the same time. The portion size is super generous. The inside of the this place is absolutely adorable. And the workers are super gentle. I had such a good time here. This is going to be on my " must come back " list“
