“Clean spot with friendly staff in Burien

​Visited around 5:30 PM on a weekday and easily got street parking. The inside is super clean with a great atmosphere, and the staff were very polite and attentive!

​Finding the menu via QR code was a bit tricky, but we ordered the Chef’s Special Roll and the Katsu Curry. The katsu curry had plenty of crispy cutlets (just wished it had a little more curry roux!), and the special roll was okay, though a bit heavy on the mayo sauce.

It’s a difficult time we are in with the pandemic of 2020, but Maneki has transitioned to take out, which it never did before, and is so organized that it blew my mind when I saw how clearly labeled each item was when I got home. “Food was good. Service was good, but their QR code ordering system was really bad. We couldn't order individually in the app, and had to submit one order as a table. We had to seperate all our orders afterwards with the waitress, and ended up just splitting the bill down the middle.“

“We had a wonderful experience at California Monster Sushi in Kent! The sushi was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Everything we ordered tasted delicious, and the portions were very satisfying.

The lady who served us was especially friendly, pleasant, and welcoming. She greeted us with a warm smile, patiently helped us with our order, and made sure we had everything we needed. Her kind and cheerful personality made our dining experience even more enjoyable.

“DELICIOUS sashimi. I really hope the owners find this comment. I'm leaving this review because my conscience won't allow me not to. Basically, I shared a very pleasant $90+ meal with a couple friends. However, I'm embarrassed to say that I'm not well-practiced/educated in tipping because I've so rarely eaten out in all my life. I SEVERELY under-tipped them for this meal, and I just feel awful because it was AMAZING service on top of really decent sushi and better sashimi.“

“The torch salmon is deliciously fatty and melts in your mouth. The jade roll is fresh and incredibly rich, with three different kinds of fish. It's good that it comes with soy sauce to balance. I also ordered miso soup and in total, only spent $21. Large menu and great variety in seafood. Inside is small but has large tables. Super lunch option for healthy and filling!“

“Food is decent, maybe too much rice on the sushi though. I would order maybe 5-10 plates for the first round of Ayce as some are 8pc. We were stuffed with 15 plates. The area smells like piss, you can definitely still smell it if you sit close to the door and have a strong nose like I do.“

“Sat at the sushi bar for happy hour and had such a great experience! They had both their regular happy hour menu and a special menu for the month, so there were plenty of options to try. “The salmon here is 10/10 amazing. The salmon nigiri tastes exactly like my favorite sushi restaurant “Sugarfish” which is only in L.A. and NYC and I have been looking for a sushi place in Seattle that can compare to that. I am very happy and satisfied with my food here! However, I did not like the tuna rolls here. It was very mushy and barely had any flavor. If they changed the tuna from being a paste form into actual pieces of tuna, I think it would be improved dramatically. “A decent sushi lunch place. They have your choice of poke bowls, bentos, sushi rolls and nigiri and salads. I usually drop by here to pick up a quick lunch when I have a craving for sushi. Quality is ok, not bad and not great. I think the poke bowls are the best thing to try here“

“BEST sushi around! New sushi bar in Kent next to McClendon’s Hardware (in former Save-U-More) FRESH fish and all the flavors were in point. Rice was PERFECT. We enjoyed 4 long rolls and they were LONG ( 10 pieces). Great owners and very welcoming. They are set up for large platters, in door seating (with Karaoke). Nice, new decor and restaurant.“

There are about only 4 tables inside so it’s definitely not like a “dine-in” restaurant. The majority of their orders are to-go’s. It was a bit difficult to locate the restaurant as it’s clumped with the apartments.“

“If you live in Renton or in northern Kent, this Teriyaki shop is amazing. The food is worth every penny, which isn't pricey at all. By the way, one of the only teriyaki shops that gives you a different kind of Salad dressing, and not the same thousand island type of dressing.“
