We had the sashimi and some offerings from the chef... to. die. for! Presentation was a work of art, and flavors matched!
Food was EXCEPTIONALLY delicious! The sushi was incredible and same goes with the calamari! If you’re looking for a sushi place close to pike place (literally next door) highly recommend!
You can’t visit Seattle without craving fresh seafood! After walking around Pike Place Market, we stumbled upon Urara while looking for a lunch spot. It’s an intimate, cozy restaurant that seats about 20 people. We arrived just before the lunch rush with a group of six (including our toddler), and the staff was kind enough to comfortably squeeze us in at a table for four so we wouldn't have to wait.

Urara Japanese Cuisine is a quaint, intimate restaurant with friendly staff and a cozy atmosphere. The menu offers a variety of options, including the flavorful seared salmon abuti sake don and delicious chirashi bowls with large slices of fish. Vegetarian options are plentiful, with surprises like the spider roll and veggie maki rolls. The agedashi tofu is perfect, and the Nagasaki noodles are excellent. The tempura udon has crispy tempura and good dashi, while the spider rolls are considered the best in Washington state. The restaurant's attentive service and reasonable prices make it a great find, tucked away near Pike Market. Though small with limited seating, the authentic and chill environment keeps customers coming back.
