We were so warmly welcomed, treated to complimentary bubbles, had the kindest people serving us and all of the food was delicious. This will now be our anniversary tradition. Thank you, Il Nido!”

“Pretty small place but we got a reservation beforehand and didn't have to wait too long for a table. They have really great food, drinks and service. We had the grilled sourdough, which they slice up and grill many sides of the bread, great move we had never seen before. Fried oyster muchrooms and the carrots were great also, and we had to try the roast chicken, which we all really loved, it lived up to the hype.”

“If I could put more than 5 stars, I would. We selected chiefs menu option. Because it id blind tasting menu, we were not sure whether we wanted to commit to $150 pp plus drinks. In the end, it was totally worth it. They take ordinary, well known dishes and turn them into pieces of art. We had albacore tartare, crab salad, mushroom karate, duck dumplings, rib eye steak and fig cake with Gorgonzola ice cream. The waiter was incredible - it’s clear they love what they do.”

“Quite simply one of the best meals I have ever had, sushi or non. The food was utterly incredible, beautifully crafted with complex and intricate layers of flavors. From the opening bowl of clam and geoduck soup, through the salmon roe, incredible barracuda, mackerel, and salmon, to the final coronet of tuna, it was a phenomenal experience.

We sat at the counter, and the Itamae could not have been more welcoming. He explained every dish in detail, including how he crafted the various flavors. He let us taste sake, explaining how it complemented the dish. He discussed how he changes the menu with the seasons, getting fish from where it is best for that time of year.

From start to finish, this was just amazing. We'll be back in winter for my birthday. I can't wait to taste the changes”

“Came for Happy Hour alone and decided to order each item from the bar menu and had myself a tasting menu. It was plenty of food... I really should have stopped at 3 or 4 HH portions. I highly recommend the garlic prawns, the chili cumin pork ribs, the duck spring rolls, and the tomato salad (with the salted egg). The bartender also poured me two exquisite cocktails... a sidecar and then a paloma. Yum!”

“We had an amazing dinner at a specialty pizza restaurant in Seattle named Sunny Hill. It’s a little hole in the wall that has the best Pizza and appetizers in Washington. If you’re ever in the area, make sure to check it out. It was so good to be with the family and finish up some details for today’s big event.”

“The Capital Grille is a place to go for a high end meal and expectations are high.
Our dinner was very good, but not exceptional.
We tried the bone-in filets which had excellent flavor, but the meat close to the bone was raw instead of medium rare.
Highlights were the lobster Mac and cheese and yes it’s as delicious as it sounds and the coconut cream pie.
Service was attentive, but a little too chatty for the atmosphere.”

“Wow, I was completely captivated. The best part was that the server grilled the meat directly for us with expert care right at our table. He served each portion directly onto individual plates, taking care of everything for us. The variety of vegetables and side dishes made the meat even more delicious. Although it is a bit pricey, it’s worth visiting if you don’t mind the cost. For our family of three, the total came to around USD 430, including tip and tax.”

The hotel is very well cared for with original details everywhere and as if no time has passed. The Tea House is so equally charming and connected, and lovely cafe/coffee house choices. All of the folks are wonderful, especially the owner - charming, and so many fascinating and meaningful stories across the years and generations. Will be coming back many times!!!”

The food was really good - well prepared and flavorful, coming from a microscopic kitchen. We had chicken tenders and a burger. Next time I'm having breakfast - the bennies looked amazing.

As I said, just a great late night joint, reminding me of old school Seattle. If you're hungry late, don't go to that national chain. Come here instead. The food is better, the people are great, and you can get a beer. Perfect!”

Parking: It shares a plot with a gas station however there are spaces in front of the Starbucks where you can park as well as along the side of the lot on the other side of the gas station along where you enter for the drive thru”

Excellent and knowledgeable staff can make recommendations from the ever-changing menu based on your tastes, and it's easy to have almost any dish modified to be vegetarian or vegan. Perusing the tasting notes on the wine wall is a nice way to pass the time - great prices on the take-home bottles. If you're on a budget (and I usually am), grab a snack or two. “So creative, fresh, and delicious! This is one of my favorite restaurants in Seattle. I’ve been here since they opened, and their menu is always changing as they refine their dishes and grow. The owner is also really nice.

Everything here is tasty, but my favorite is their signature dish, Pak Mor Yuan, which is very similar to Vietnamese bánh cuốn. I saw a reel of them making it fresh and it is no wonder that it is so tasty.

I also like Guay Tiew Lohd, which uses similar rice noodles/paper.”

The beers themselves were beyond amazing! The music selection was also incredible (assuming you enjoy heavy metal, like we do). Both my girlfriend and I loved this brewery, and will be adding it to our list of breweries to visit in Seattle! Holy Mountain is fully worth the trip from Calgary!”

“Sushi By Scratch in Seattle is quite an experience with each and every bite more amazing than the next. It's like a Speakeasy for sushi. Reservations are hard to get, and you walk up to unmarked doors and ring the bell. If you like sushi, you will never be happy with "belt sushi" ever again. From all the fish, wagyu, caviar and mystery ice cream to the teas, Japanese whiskies and hand-crafted cocktails. All of it pure art, I highly recommend!”

Only downside is a larger-than-usual sushi counter to which we were met with a rather rowdy crowd disturbing the experience. To be expected outside of Japan though…. But overall very solid meal 8.5/10.”

We walked in on a Saturday night, with no reservations, and were warmly greeted and sat at a wonderful section of the bar.

Are bartender was outstanding; she went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and gave us some outstanding recommendations.

We opted for the four course menu and we're not disappointed...... In fact, of all the tasting menus we've been apart of, this was one of the most fulfilling.

My partner wasn't a super fan of the lamb ribs, but I'm not really sure he knew what he was getting into. Everything else was wonderful and this was one of the highlights of our Seattle adventure!”

“Do yourself a favor — EAT AT LOTUS POND. (1) Carpool to Lotus Pond. The more the merrier. (2) Appetizers: You can’t lose. Everything is good. Me? I eat the Imperial Rolls. Get two orders of the egg rolls aka Imperial Rolls — one order won’t be enough for 2 people. Start there, you’ll be very happy. Also order the pork belly on the skewers please, No regrets. It’s very good. (3) Noodle Soups. Every bowl Is a winner. Pho is great, no question there. However, you absolutely must eat the SEAFOOD with special Red Noodle. (4) Early enough during the day, drink the Viet Ice Coffee. (5) Too bad they don’t have enough staff/hands to make the BANH CUON but they make up for it in many ways. Try everything on the menu. I’m not a relative. I don’t get money or fame for recommending Lotus Pond. I just know authentic good food when I see and eat it. Try it. You will leave with a full, joyous stomach … you will be very satisfied. Happy eating!”
