We were so warmly welcomed, treated to complimentary bubbles, had the kindest people serving us and all of the food was delicious. This will now be our anniversary tradition. Thank you, Il Nido!”

They were all delicious… We’ll have to return to try the Asada. Refried beans were smooth and creamy. The garlic salsa is highly recommended. Prices here are unbelievably affordable for downtown Seattle. Get here early as indoor seating is limited.”

“Solid brunch experience with delicious food and reasonable (by Seattle standards) prices. The menu features classic dishes with fresh, local ingredients, and our meals were well-prepared and flavorful.

We got an omelette, pork schnitzel, and cornmeal pancake. It was all very good!

However, our experience was slightly dampened (literally!) by the weather. Due to limited indoor seating, we were seated outside on a chilly and rainy Seattle morning. While the covered patio offered some protection and the heater offered some warmth, it was still quite cold, which detracted from the overall ambiance and enjoyment of the meal. At least the coffee was hot!

Despite the less-than-ideal weather conditions, the quality of the food and service at Harry's Fine Foods makes it a worthwhile dining destination. Just remember to dress warmly and hope for sunshine!”

“Tried this very special “takeout only omakase sushi box”, Edomae style ( use cured/aged fish, and red vinegar seasoning in rice). The executive chef, chef Ryo, has worked in many renowned restaurant including Michelin star sushi restaurant “Sushi Sho”. Before joining this new restaurant “Ltd Edition Sushi” in capitol hill, he worked side by side with chef Nakazawa-an icon of edomae style in Japan, at both Sushi Sho Tokyo and Sushi Sho Honolulu. The sushi omakase box and kids fish bowl are both very sophisticated, the curing and aging techniques brings out the deep complex flavor of each fish and gives each fish this extra tender texture, the taste profile as such is hard to find here in Seattle. Chef sake flight ( we tried Haneya Junmai Ginjo and Hidakami Junmai today), one is floral and one on the dry side, pair with his sushi very well. Sushi is in a very elegant wooden box and everything you will need for the experience including a separate soy sauce dipping dish is prepared for the guest. This is, truly, a perfect omakase takeout experience. 💕💕😋”

“So creative, fresh, and delicious! This is one of my favorite restaurants in Seattle. I’ve been here since they opened, and their menu is always changing as they refine their dishes and grow. The owner is also really nice.

Everything here is tasty, but my favorite is their signature dish, Pak Mor Yuan, which is very similar to Vietnamese bánh cuốn. I saw a reel of them making it fresh and it is no wonder that it is so tasty.

I also like Guay Tiew Lohd, which uses similar rice noodles/paper.”

“The Capital Grille is a place to go for a high end meal and expectations are high.
Our dinner was very good, but not exceptional.
We tried the bone-in filets which had excellent flavor, but the meat close to the bone was raw instead of medium rare.
Highlights were the lobster Mac and cheese and yes it’s as delicious as it sounds and the coconut cream pie.
Service was attentive, but a little too chatty for the atmosphere.”

Reservations are hard to get, and you walk up to unmarked doors and ring the bell. If you like sushi, you will never be happy with "belt sushi" ever again. Very unassuming storefront, and something about it seems to exude, "local favorite," before you even step in the door.

Very laid back, but professional staff. Welcoming, kind, and just the right amount of hipster. :)

Surprisingly simple, straightforward menu but that doesn't mean it is boring or mundane! You'll find variety and unexpected depth in the dozen or so offerings including garlic rice, banana ketchup and coconut collard greens. There are the more basic fried potatoes and fried pickles if that's more your bag.

Top of off with a delicious desert which is some kind of mochi cake with coconut whipped cream.

I'm writing this a couple days after eating there, and I've convinced myself it's time to return.

On my way back there now - and you should do the same.

But you better get there before they sell out ! :)

Bonus : when you finish, 100% of the restaurant's packaging and waste goes straight to the compost!

“After having been to Driftwood twelve times I can confidently say it’s the only restaurant in Seattle worth dining at.  Lots of places make claims about freshness and local ingredients, but chef Dan Mallahan shops at the Farmers Market two days a week. It’s not a joke or a gimmick. If you want to eat food grown exclusively in Washington State, that tastes real, then Driftwood is the spot. They serve tomatoes that actually have flavor, delicious veggie dishes, and meat and fish that are tender and juicy. They combine so many flavors in a subtle harmony making each bite you take delightful. Not to mention the killer cocktails.  The vibe is beautiful but chill. The staff are lovely and kind. Everything about Driftwood is real. The food, the people, even the hand towels in the bathroom.  Concerned about prices at a farm-to-table restaurant and getting enough to eat? Go with a friend and share two starters and a main. For example, I just had the Olsen Farm Kennebec JoJos, the Piece by Piece Farm Tempura Delicata squash, and the Butcher’s Cut Pork Chop. Yum!”

“You can’t go wrong with dining here. Great place to watch games, it’s family friendly, and most importantly, the food is really good. Their wings blow away Wing Dome, Buffalo Wile Wings and any other place claiming to have good wings. They also have more than just wings if that’s not your thing.”

“I loved this small place on Beacon Hill. I was visiting from Detroit and saw it as I walked from the train to where I was staying. I went in an hour before they opened without realizing it, and the friendly owner invited me to come back at lunchtime. I'm glad I did. The owner greeted me again warmly. I had veggie pho with tofu and a Vietnamese coffee, both absolutely delicious. The servers were friendly as well. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Not much atmosphere, but very friendly, satisfying food, and reasonable price. If I'm in the area again, I will definitely go back.”

“We ordered from DoorDash, and I crossed my fingers that it would be good. It definitely was! The noodles are delicious: thick and just the right amount of chewy. “I’ve lived on Alki since 1989. I’ve seen many restaurants come and go from this location. Lotus on the Beach is the best of them all. The ability to pick from a variety of Vietnamese and Thai dishes is its strength. The owner and staff welcome any and all critiques of the food and service.”

“The food was great, and the portions are good. Great place to bring family, friends, or even a date. They have other options if someone doesn't want seafood. Their pricing ranges on average from $20-$100 for meals. The lighting is dim, and the atmosphere is warm. There is a bar and restrooms. They get busy around 4-6pm. There is an arcade right down the hall in the same building - go have some fun afterward! Parking is about a couple of minutes away, but if you walk, then it doesn't matter. There are a few certain servers who could have a better attitude and mannerism - however, there was a fair share of really friendly servers, too. They give you a bowl for your shells and a bib for the mess. They also have toweletts and paper towels ready. Don't be embarrassed to use your hands. They provided wooden hammers to break the shell, but it didn't really work that well. I recommend using the very back of your teeth if you know how to crack safely. If not, the hammers are still fun. If you can't finish your food, no worries- they have to go boxes for you. Overall, it's a good place to try out. The viral seafood boil craving will diminish surely.

Vegetarian options: This is a seafood place. I would recommend calling to ask about their options, if any.

Parking: If you are on foot, it's better. However, if you are in a vehicle, you will most likely need to pay for parking across the street. There are parking lots nearby.

Kid-friendliness: Families with kids and babies can dine here.

“We were looking for a Thai restaurant that offered more of a sit down setting than a bare bones take out place. We went around 6 pm and were seated promptly. All 4 of us had amazing meals and the prices were reasonable. Our waiter was professional and friendly. Many of the dishes are made with rice noodles, making it perfect for those of us with gluten intolerance. The menu dishes were described in detail and all the dishes we ordered were delicious. Mine was pad pong kari talay, a seafood based dish with mussels. shrimp and the tenderest calamari I've ever had. The sauce was delicious and spiced to my request. Thai iced tea was a perfect accompaniment. There are dozens of Thai restaurants in Seattle- Nua is the place to go!”
