“I had the set of 3 tacos with rice and beans. Great set and the portion was good. Got me pretty full but not overly so. Didn’t give 5 stars because I asked my food without cilantro, but the tacos were very much sprinkled with it. They were very busy at that time so didn’t have the heart to complain and I picked it out as good as I could. Not emergency because for me it’s no allergies, just tastes like soap in my mouth. “Me and my family were in town from Philadelphia to see the Phillies play the Marlins and the first thing we looked up was “best authentic Mexican Cusine.” This place was the spot that came up first and it didn’t disappoint! Between the four of us we had taco platters with every meat option and all of the tamales. We were all satisfied with our meals. I really hope to get back here and have their breakfast dishes.“

“Excellent tacos. I work in Ballard and these are hands down my favorite quick tacos to get after work or on a lunch break. I just sucked down 3 and felt compelled to write a review from my desk. Great mom and pop liquor store too so you can grab a six pack and a few tacos. You will not be disappointed. Carnitas and Al Pastor are my fav. We have done the big taco catering plate for work events. Salsa Verde is delicious. Go support them!“

“I'm very happy to report that the vegetarian options here are more than acceptable. It's great that the fry bread is not made with lard (although I do realize that it would taste even better if it were!). The vegetable sides could use more seasonings, but they were cooked to my preference, and the serving sizes were generous. I also enjoyed the chai. The fry bread was a bit tough/chewy so I'm guessing that they don't fry it up to order but it sits a while; but overall I was happy with my meal.“

“Malena's is my favorite taco in Seattle. The burritos are HUGE and the tacos (hard shell) are delicious. Guacamole is legit and i could eat their salsas with everything. Cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. Rolled tacos as good as Olvera street in LA. Burritos put chain stores to shame. Such good food and freshly prepared to order.“

“First time here and I ordered the chile relleno. Superb! This is not always prepared carefully and since El Puerco Lloron in Pike Place Market closed, I have not found a good relleno in Seattle. If you order this, please sit down and eat it while it is still hot. Delicious! Will be returning to try other things, too.“

“The food is always good. It always hits the spot. I usually get an asada burrito, the consistency of how the burrito is made is not always the same as in sometimes it's wrapped tight and nothing usually falls out sometimes it's wrapped loose and everything falls out.“

The last time I was there, I had this delicious drink in the picture, I think it was called El Diablito. It was like a tamarind slushy with a hint of spicy. Very refreshing and yummy! “Just your standard taco truck! I’ve tried most the proteins they all delicious. They also have birria as well. The burritos are my favorite but you don’t forget about the tacos or tortas either! Prices are reasonable, there’s usually parking available but not a lot. Service is fast and friendly.“

“I ordered 2 tamales, one red one green, a mesquite, and chicken nachos. By far my favorite nachos, the chips are homemade and were fresh. The chicken had good flavor and seasonings. The tamales taste like the kind my Mom and Tias used to make and had good flavor. The mesquite was prepared very well, a good sized portion and again tasted authentic. I would recommend and can't wait to eat there again.“

I ordered brisket with mac & cheese and potato salad and my friend ordered the bacon & blues burger with a brisket add on and talk about mouth watering! We also ordered the fried pickle jar and highly recommend that appetizer! We saved our leftovers for the next day and it went just as hard! Amazing hospitality from this establishment and the vibe was so country it felt like we were back home in Texas! Don’t skip out on the banana pudding and a big thank you to management and the cooks who help keep the place running smooth!“
