“Magnificent! Service was perfect for the occasion and our food was served faster than expected after ordering. Two of the dishes were swapped leading to a bit of confusion about who ordered what, but was quickly resolved. Broccolini was cooked well and seasoned nicely. The cauliflower looked fantastic but was very spicy, too much heat for my liking. Each steak had a slightly different flavor profile, with the Australian wagyu ribeye the least impressive of them (for $ value). Vacio had nice texture and a rich grilled/char flavor. Delmonico was an outstanding thick cut bursting with marbled flavor. They were a bit on the rarer side, but perfectly acceptable and much better than overdone. It's not a big dining area and felt cramped and noisy, bench seats not very comfortable, and tabletop space was completely filled with food for three people. This was a beautiful meal and I'm looking forward to coming back again soon for another thick juicy steak. Bravo!Dietary restrictions: Our server didn't inquire if anyone had restrictions, but was great about explaining ingredients“
“The name says it all!! F**k around & find out... this place is badass! They don't serve what some might call regular a** tacos! This spots different and actually brings a great family friendly real Mexico City vibe.. if you know you know and if You don't well F'around and find out“
“These tamales are absolutely fabulous. We bought a whole slew of them for friends and family for Christmas. They made the perfect gift and everybody raved about them. The only thing I will say, is they say they take about an hour to cook but we found longer than that with a pretty intense steam, was what it needed to get the masa dough cooked all the way through. we love the jalapeño and cheese the best but really, you can’t go wrong with any of the flavors. The staff is kind and pick up and ordering is pretty simple if you read all the directions. Don’t miss out on those awesome salsas!!“
“One of the best Mexican restaurants in Seattle is now open for brunch on the weekends and it’s fabulous! They have a mimosa cart with four juices and a party cart with hot chocolate! They have cafe de olla! They have two kinds of chilaquiles! As we have come to expect from D’ Ma Santa, the food is absolutely incredible and the service is wonderful. This restaurant is an absolute gem. We will be back soon to try more on the menu.“
“We had dinner there on Sunday with family from out of town. Everyone ordered cocktails and different dishes. The food was delicious, the service, excellent. There is even some parking available on the side of the building. We will definitely go back.“
“This is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. The service is incredible, always so friendly, giving out samples and giving out information about the foods. This place is authentic with food made with ingredients strait from Oaxaca. The ambiance is beautiful. It is very colorful and decorative. It’s right next to the original Starbucks so it is very busy. Their tacos and tamales are my favorite. I will say the food can feel a little heavy. This place is definitely worth a try to at least go once.“
“I usually have a great time here and the food is great! Today our service was specifically poor from our server. We drank our water right away and the server asked if we wanted more water before we even ordered our food. I’ve never had a restaurant ask us if we want more water. He then asked us to not share our drinks with one guest who doesn’t have an i.d. This was odd and embarrassing. My friend and I ordered a torta with a side salad yet received a torta with a side soup. It was fine and we let the server know we asked for a salad, not soup, but the server argued he wrote down soup, not salad and said even repeated it back to us. I’ve never had a server argue about an order, they usually just are polite and correct the problem. I will be coming back but refuse to have him serve me again. In 2 years this is the only issue I’ve had here.“
“This place is really good, it's a local mom and pops Bodega. They have really good food and the people are really cool here. It's nice to pop in and pop out if you just need some things quick. I'm definitely all about supporting the locals and this place is definitely one of them.“
“Had lunch here today with my cousin while I'm in town for a convention. We grew up in Texas so have expectations when trying a new Mexican restaurant and this exceeded them. Started out with an amuse bouche which I'd never had before at a Mexican restaurant. It was a small tortilla topped with beans, a delicious sauce, and two other things I don't quite remember but was so good! We ordered the guacamole with salsa and chips to start. I'm not a big salsa eater but I loved the guacamole, both for flavor and texture. My cousin ordered the carne asada which she let me taste and it was delicious, with very tender meat. I had chicken flautas, which had great texture and flavor. There were also several tvs, so I got to see some of Champions League, which I hadn't expected while traveling.“
“April 13, 2024 update: still delicious, and even busier on sunny weekends! So take it to go (& grab a picnic table) if you don't want to wait! I had the Rockfish Tacos. If you order a side of guacamole, trust me when i say you'll want a full size order. ??The most casual and delicious seafood & taco joint at the udub! Been there for decades, always a friendly staff. A lot of locals head there for dinner. I'd be there a few times a week if I lived close by!“
“Food is good. Online ordering/payment system is NOT GOOD. Here’s why:-It says 5-10 minutes for pickup but then when you go to check out the earliest time you can choose is 25-30 min-You have to sign up for a “Joe” account-The default payment option is to hook up a bank account…who does this to pay for a sandwich?-The tip selection is BROKEN! I entered 2.00 for the tip. Good think I double-checked because the webpage entered $52!!! It might have taken 200% instead of $2.Anyway, this online ordering system really made me frustrated and took away from the food experience. The sandwiches and burritos are great though.“
“This place is a gem! Incredible authentic Oaxacan food served and made by kind folks. Unlike most restaurants I've found around Seattle, they're not afraid to serve things spicy and that makes all the difference. Everything tastes fresh and the prices are unmatched for being in the city.“
“Upscale-yet-comfy-and-affordable oceanfront vibe. The green chili soup came with these delish little homemade masa sopes (like thickertirtilla pieces) for dipping. Lucious flan. Creative menu options, including jackfruit tacos for veg-heads like me. Incredibly sweet and hospitable folks.“
“Stopped by as I was craving food and it seems like a great place to grab a bite.Parking is tricky as one must park in the street and pay.Food: limited selection of items. This is not your typical mom-pa place with so many choices. I got a torta that came with steak, potatoes and chorizo. I also orders the chips and salsa . Chips and salsa were fine. Torta was different from a traditional Mexican torta.I also order a chicken adobo taco. It was alright.Overall, a nice place to eat by FAR from being “authentic Mexican” food.Bonus: they have Jarritos, squirt , and other Mexican pop“
“Fantastic tacos and always polite and smiling workers Make it so that my wife and I always decided to get this food trucks for amazing meals. The price is very reasonable, especially before the quantity and quality of the food. We'll come back again and recommend it to others very easily.“
“Our family favorite.Good foods and quick service. We had multis, burrito, and a cup of horchata for about a little over $30.There are 2 big tables with a roof and heaters. We visit this place before a little walk at Lincoln Park for our appetite.“
“Enjoyed Maiz a few times and every time the service is super friendly and helpful, and the food is delicious! The mains are fantastic, with great flavors and technique. So far tried the Borrego Tatemado lamb (AMAZING), Molino's Asada (delicious and filling), Chile au jus Costilla (another great dish) and Gorditas de Cameron (good but not my fav).Drinks and beers are great as well. I just wish they were open every night the Kraken play! ?“
“We love Cactus. the Alki one is perfect to pretend you’re on a vacay somewhere warm (not Seattle) because of all the light and the view out the bar. the Kirkland one has great ambiance for a date night, and the SLU has the same delicious food and drinks as the other 2 but in a more convenient location. We talk about going almost every time we’re in town. (we live 45 minutes out of the city)Hibiscus Chi Chi and the queso guac are a must.“
“The Mexican food here is great and authentic. I ordered a fish taco, tostada and a torta to go. Everything was so good I ended up just eating the torta in the restaurant. The service was great, highly recommend if you’re looking for delicious authentic Mexican “
“Still loving El Pirata. Easy quick stop in Georgetown for tortas, their bierra burrito, or tacos. The taco selection isn't as extensive as some places, but that's ok. $12 and I walked away full on their brisket tacos with rice and beans on the side. Service: friendly and efficient!“
“My wife and I finally stopped in after months of having it saved in our Google Maps. It did not disappoint! We were in the mood for sopes and each one (the meal comes with three) was delicious. It is such a great family-run business. We will absolutely be back and can't wait to try different things from the menu!“
“Check my last name. This is genuinely one of the better Mexican restaurants in Seattle. The tortillas involved in all foods--the chips, the tacos, the enchiladas--were amazing. The tacos were especially delicious with juicy and tender meat. The enchiladas con mole was good too but I wish I had only gotten tacos cause those were fantastic. The octopus was tasty but because of how fried it was, was pretty oily. This place is pricey but the food was delicious.“
“I wish I had gotten the bartenders name, but he was ON IT! When I say anticipating the customer's need, never had to ask for refills, very friendly staff and the music was good too. We ordered chips and guac, tostadas, sopes, rice + black beans, and ceviche. I would definitely recommend this spot.“
“Pancita was sooo good! One of the better meals I have had recently. We got the tuna tostada, brisket suadero tacos, and the half chicken and mole. All the flavors were incredible, and I loved the ambience of the restaurant. Excited to come back!“
“I only eat Mexican food once in a while but my friend, Nestor, changed my mind. He ordered to go food from this restaurant and the fish taco with pickle apple and carne asada blown my mind. I want to return and try more food next time. The food is gone before I can take a picture. ? I like their sauces too.“
“We stopped in on a whim. Nice, clean restaurant. Service was attentive and nice. We originally were just going to get a drink, but we saw the colombian empanadas on the menu and wanted to try, along with the flan. The empanadas reminded us of some we got in Colombia, so delicious with a nice crunch. The sauce they have on the side is also very delicious. The flan was good. The passion fruit margarita was delicious, it was made with mezcal so added a different note to it. We will definitely be back!“
“This was only my second visit here, but it somehow got even more tasty. We got the super basic Man On A Budget burritos with sausage, but I added beans to mine. Also had the mild green salsa. Sooo good. Such simple ingredients but they somehow work so well together to make a delicious combination. We will keep going back for sure!Just an fyi: the only reason for a 3-star rating for the atmosphere is because it is a food truck in a parking lot. There's nothing wrong with it, it is what it is. It was good food and good service, that's all I need from a food truck.“
“This is a great place considering the price and portion sizes. The portion sizes here are pretty large. The food tastes pretty good but isn't really outstanding. They have a spacious inside seating with a few small TV's on the walls, I think in the summer they also open their outside patio.“
“very reasonably priced tacos! current price is only $4 each and they are larger than street size tacos. staff was very nice and our food was ready right when they said it would be, only a 20 minute wait for 6 tacos. they did go a little heavy on the onion but that's just personal preference“
“Been coming here for a couple years now and haven’t had a single bad experience. The staff are superb and the atmosphere is wonderful. Not to mention how great and authentic the food is (best tamales around). Highly recommend this awesome neighborhood spot“
“The reviews for this place are beyond belief. You already know from my score that I am not in complete agreement, but here is another honest, unfiltered review. I'll start by saying the service could not have been any friendlier. I can also tell you that the prices are also reasonable. I had a single taco and flautas plate. The food was good, better than you would expect and certainly better than 99% of trucks and fast-food places out there, but it was a but short on flavor. In my opinion, everything needed salt and that was not just the food, but the hot sauces as well. If you don't season your food, I have to rely on the sauce for that extra kick and the sauces did not deliver. In addition, as advised, I had the flautas plate and the picture showed a side of guacamole, I didn't get guac, I got sour cream, so I don't know if that was a mistake or if they have changed how the dish is served, but trust me when I tell you, I expected guac and declined to say anything because I didn't want customers to overhear my concern. In the end, the food was good, but far from life changing and since it took 20 minutes to get here, it's unlikely I'll be returning any time soon. I'm really tired of ethnic places watering down recipes! When you say your recipes are generational, but they lack salt or heat, I can't trust you. I'm in the 3.5 range, but again, since everyone was really nice, I'll bump it up to 4, but even that is generous based on my meal not resembling the advertised image for it. These are hardworking people, but unfortunately, they did not bring their A game on my visit.“
“Tenoch is our favorite!!We've been coming since we moved here in 2007 (back when they were down in the International District/Pioneer Square), and we can't stop! Their food is so incredibly delicious, and they are so on top of service! The new building is gorgeous and bright and delightful. You should absolutely go visit! My husband's favorite is the pollo adobado in a quesadilla, and me? I love the pisinan roast burrito. Mouth-wateringly good and with the best owners and staff in town ☺️“
“If the ladies here have a million fans, I am one of them. If they have one fan, it is me. If they have zero fans, I am dead. I’m moving out of the hill soon and will miss this place so much! I even brought my family from Texas here as one of my must try’s. Everything is so good and they’re always so patient with us. Amazing!“
“Im pretty sure this is taco chukis OG location. I love the "hole in the wall" vibe. They make it easy to order and get food here, and the self service water is nice. I can't say there is one particular taco I like more than the others, and at the size - you can try them all if you're on an empty stomach. This is a great spot for a casual lunch date, a meal with friends, or a quick bite between your weekend chores.“
“Spicy Mexican Mocha is my go-to 100% of the time! It comes with chocolate and chili powder, what's not to love?!The place is welcoming, clean and so many items to choose from. The baristas have incredible skills, customer service and really great vibes. If you're in the area it's worth giving them a try! Who needs Starbucks when you have shops like this around. 10/10 will always go whenever I'm in the city.“
“It’s hard finding good Mexican food in Washington. Lengua and cabeza tacos were great. Chicken quesadilla was moist and tasty. Love how this place doesn’t skimp on the meat. Will be back to try the other meats.Order at the storefront counter. (Hibiscus petals sold here).“
“Wonderful!! I loved our meal at Cactus Madison Park. All of the staff that we encountered were so friendly and easy accommodating for our person using a Knee Scooter. The food flavors are outstanding, the portion sizes are perfect and the prices are good. The interior decor is very nicely done with a fun look and feel. I would eat here again and again.“
“Absolutely terrific. No nonsense, delicious and cheap. The place was packed during the work day from when we came to when we left, and for good reason.Affordable in a sometimes unaffordable age, good selection and incredibly reasonable prices. Staff were friendly and helpful with recommendations. Can't say enough good things.“
“This is one of the best, authentic (as close as you can get) Mexican food. We have been going here for breakfast off and on for years. Always very good and worth the trip from Bellevue.Parking: Sometimes not easy to find a spot. There is a paid garage across the street, but otherwise finding street parking, especially with the athletic club across the street can sometimes be a challenge.“
“Really friendly vibe in a very clean and cozy atmosphere. The gentleman that waited on us was nothing short of great. Very family feel from him and very outgoing. The food was better than expected. I don't normally order burritos cause a lot of times I end up getting it with half full of beans. This one was very well proportioned with excellent flavor.I will definitely be back to try more of the menu. Nice finding spots like this, not too far from home!“
“Same, I don't go out of my way to leave reviews hardly ever. I would give 10 stars if I could. 2-3 times a week for breakfast, I slide thru for a breakfast burrito. They have multiple flavor options that make these things so tasty no matter which breakfast burrito you choose. You DEFINITELY can not beat the quality or value. This goes for their lunch and dinner menu as well. Nachos here come loaded, and of course, they are super Fire!! The staff is super friendly and always on top of it. Whether you live in greenwood or are visiting, it's your LOSS if you don't swing through and grab something to eat here.“
“This place is fantastic definitely a hidden gem You couldn't ask for better service and the food Was absolutely amazing I had the The Quesadilla with fresh made tortilla Lettuce sour cream and pico and a chorizo taco both were fantastic I have never had a quesadilla made like this it was essentially a huge taco I will definitely be eating here when I am in the area“
“Wonderful restaurant with great service. There are so many delicious dishes on the menu. My go to is the chicken mexicana. My boyfriend has tried about 10 items and has enjoyed them all. Large portions and a wonderful casual atmosphere. It feels like a California sit down Mexican restaurant.“
“Love there burritos. Food is flavorful. Order is always ready when I go to pick up. First time I went, I went to the wrong door not knowing I had to go to the entrance not facing the street. Only downside is I now live not far, probably 5 minutes, from where I used to live and can't get the food delivered anymore.“
“Had the vegan nachos, banh mi tofu taco, the mushroom shawarma taco, and scratch margaritas. All were tasty, the nachos come out in mountain form, happy hour has many options. I will be back to try the "Spicy"?? menu!!Great service (although they weren't busy when we came in), pleasant atmosphere.“
“Overall this is a great Mexican restaurant! Perfect for families or groups.I wouldn’t say it’s the best Mexican I’ve ever had but it was definitely good. But their free tortilla were delicious, so make sure to get one when you try Rosita’s!“
“Very cool spot for some tasty Mexican in Queen Anne. Great interior and interesting menu (contemporary Mexican dishes) - was pretty low key vibe as we were there for lunch but would be super cool on a packed evening as they have a great bar set up.Vegetarian options: There aren't any veg options on the lunch menu but you can pick veg options from the dinner menu for lunch“
“A really fun coffee shop with a great selection of breakfast foods, pastries, and espresso. No organic food options, so I can only give 4 stars. Great teamwork from the staff - apparently they were training several. Ew employees but you couldn’t tell.Had a really delicious vanilla latte- my favorite style; sweet and creamy smooth.“
“This is a great little Mexican restaurant. My husband's and my favorites are they mole verde puerco, chile rellenos and the lentil soup. Good margaritas too. We live a long ways away, but worth the trip. Last Saturday afternoon we stopped by and the sign said closed and the phone is not working. Does anyone know if they are still open? Hoping they are.“
“As a Californian I’m usually quite picky about Mexican food. However Carmelo’s passed the test for having fantastic high quality food that tasted authentic and delicious. I ordered from them several times while in Seattle (chicken burrito/ chicken quesadilla were best) and loved it every time! Highly recommend it to all Seattle visitors!“
