Lovely brunch at Maiz Molina. It was very relaxing to sit at the counter to watch the culinary wizards in action in the kitchen. I didn't feel like eggs and they were very kind to let me sub beans to go with my avocado tostada. The de olla was worth the 10 minute wait and was absolutely divine!
I walked past this restaurant a few times and was curious because of the super cute and bright interior.The restaurant has very modern decoration with lots of colourful tiles. Noise level is moderate with no loud music.There is a long table that works for big group, but otherwise there aren't a lot of tables so you should get a reservation in case it gets busy. Enjoyed Maiz a few times and every time the service is super friendly and helpful, and the food is delicious!The mains are fantastic, with great flavors and technique. So far tried the Borrego Tatemado lamb (AMAZING), Molino's Asada (delicious and filling), Chile au jus Costilla (another great dish) and Gorditas de Cameron (good but not my fav).Drinks and beers are great as well. I just wish they were open every night the Kraken play! ?
