““Where everybody knows your name,” Prost offers a warm and friendly atmosphere that caters to the community. German beer reigns supreme in this small, but big personality, watering hole — so don’t expect your everyday basic beers! Due to the amazing staff, drinks, food, service, and atmosphere, we have become regulars. Thanks, PROST!“
“Walked past one Sunday and saw that they were polishing their wooden floors.(they were immaculate) I head back on a day when they were open and they were playing TV Girl, Alvvays, Tame Impala?!Food was great, beer was excellent and some great tunes were playing.Making my way back right now.“
“These cakes are really handmade and taste like homemade according to recipes from German Grandma. They are great and so delicous. Trust me, I am German . We tried Pflaumenkuchen, Bienenstich and Mohnzitronenkuchen and we are completely convinced that these fresh handmade high quality cakes are better than from a bakery in Germany. On our trip from Germany to Seattle Kaffeeklatsch was a must have.“
“Great dining experience. Service was not super fast but was on par with “European Style”, they don’t rush you and want you to enjoy your food. The servers were friendly and helpful. Beer selection is solid, including a nice selection of drafts. Had the Jägerschnitzel and the Käsespätzle with the mushroom gravy. Both dishes were very good and for a German restaurant in the US, I’d place them pretty highly. They’re changing up their weekend dining to accommodate a brunch, if you show up between 1pm and 3pm, there is no real food available, only French fries or pretzels, as the kitchen is changing over. I lived in Germany for four years, I consider this a good find and will be coming back.“
“the portions were plenty, the chicken well-seasoned and tender, every bite had a pop of flavor. We sat at the bar, and the server noticed my fries were cold and uneaten, she replaced them saying they tasted better hot. This was of her own intiatuie, not by my request. Great experience, good food, affordable prices.“
“It’s a good spot but do not eat or drink here if you have any food allergies or intolerances, the staff literally didn’t know what cross-contamination meant. I also had a problem with them charging my card twice so double check your bank statement.“
“Small counter service restaurant. Not really any seating (they have a couple small tables outside but thats it) so it's really meant for take out. I ordered a beef and lamb sandwich and a beef and lamb plate. Food was ready super quickly (under 5 min at 12:45pm on a weekday). When I came in to pick up, the two people working the counter were very friendly. The food is good especially for the price in this part of town. I think the best part was the bread: it was substantial enough not to disintegrate, but still soft and not tough at all. The meat was fine; it could be a little more flavorful but it wasn't bad. The portion of meat could be a little bigger, so if you're super hungry order double, but for the price I think it was fair.“
“i was impressed with how authentic the menu was. this ain’t your braut on a hotdog bun with yellow mustard kinda place. super surprised to see Schweinshaxe on the menu, and it was excellent. the spätzle was soft and fresh. the pretzel was flavorful. far surpassed expectations“
“I love to visit Prost whenever I’m in the Phinney Ridge neighborhood. The staff is terrific. They are very friendly and attentive. You’re never a stranger there because everyone will welcome you into a conversation. You should always order a pretzel. Soups are great, too!“
