Starbucks in Seattle

“Visiting the original Starbucks is one of those classic Seattle experiences. Located in the heart of Pike Place Market, it's an easy stop while exploring one of the city's most iconic destinations. Yes, there was a bit of a wait, but I thought it was well worth it.

I don't actually drink coffee, but I grabbed a tea and spent some time browsing the unique merchandise. I ended up finding a few gifts to take home for family and friends that you won't find at every Starbucks. The staff was patient, friendly, and kept everything moving efficiently despite how busy it was.

One thing to keep in mind is that this isn't really a place to sit down and relax for a while. Because it's such a popular destination, it's more of a grab your drink, take in the history, browse the merchandise, and continue exploring Pike Place Market.

Whether you're a coffee lover or simply want to experience a piece of Seattle history, I'd definitely recommend making the stop. Just plan for a line, enjoy the atmosphere, and I'd happily visit again.“

“This is for the California Ave West Seattle location.

There is plenty of parking in the back and on the street.

The atmosphere here is very chill and the patrons for various ages and demographics contribute to this. Plenty of seating and it's clean, with staff making sure that condiments are stocked, and the common areas tidy.

The service was friendly and welcoming, with the barista mentioning that they'll have free refills on my drip coffee when I mentioned I'm going to hangout for a while. And in a nutshell that is the culture for this store, they want you to relax and spend time here --- something I miss doing at the local Starby's.

If you're in the area, definitely give this storefront a try. And reach of the protein bix, it's a delicious choice if you're looking for a quick bite.

“This spot is GREAT! They are consistent on making the drinks properly, they do it quickly, and have amazing customer service.
I admit I try to get it when it’s most convenient for me, and unfortunately some places can’t make a cookie crumble correct. 😞 In a photo you can see the one on the right is wayyyy off and had to go back to my store to get it remade correctly, which wasn’t a problem.
They are dog friendly, and my pup and I go there daily!“

I recently contacted Starbucks help line but I couldn’t get much help. Maybe someone on here can help. I noticed most of the coffee tumblers, mugs and Accessories at star bucks have gone up in price over the past several years, as it should I suppose, no thanks to inflation. Will Starbucks ever adjust its rewards system as well. I can’t buy the good stuff anymore because it caps out at 400 stars. Once upon a time I could buy a nice insulated tumbler worth $20 and just pay for the taxes.

“Very popular local meeting place. Child friendly with small, short tables available in one side of the devided seating area. The other side has a fireplace. There is varied style seating throughout, including tall tables with tall chairs, regular height tables and chairs, as well as soft seating. The only possible drawback is the noise level in this busy, popular place.
If the parking area is full, it is possible easily find it in the nearby neighborhood.“

“This is my favorite Starbucks 2nd only to the roastery but that's a whole different business! This spot is ALWAYS fast and makes my drink perfectly! I order in the app on my way in from King Street Station and my drink is always waiting for me! This Pineapple Cloud Cake has me on cloud 9! ?“

“All the features of a Starbucks inside of the Kraken Iceplex which is a very cool facility;
I tried the grilled cheese sourdough for first time and it was good, but a bit bland tasting and not enough cheese, imo

I also had the mango iced latte and that was really good; smooth tasting with just the right blend of mango and milk“

“First of all - let me start by saying I’m leaving this review because my coffee was SO good I asked how to leave good feedback and learned that Starbucks actually reads Google reviews. So hi Starbucks, this location (chefs kiss) they all need a raise. Tasha took my order and had a delightful conversation that felt like she genuinely cared about my day. David made my shaken espresso and WOW. I want to hire him to make my coffee everyday. And Ashley, this angel sweetheart was handing out drinks and we had a delightful chat but my favorite part was when a customer asked for a simple drink carrier she made sure to WASH HER HANDS because she was handling trash; what a simple action of care for her customers. The service industry is a hard job and a great team like this needs to be rewarded!“

“If I’m being real, I’m giving 5 stars to the employees and it has literally nothing to do with the brand Starbucks. I hope the company provides a reward system for those who are mentioned by name because I would like to give a shout out to Laurie who was working the drive through today. She is a shining light in this sometimes dull world. She deserves to be recognized for her kindness and overall demeanor in life. I wish I remembered other staff members names better, as there are many of you who deserve to be recognized and praised for your individual efforts. “I visit this location often. I am very quiet and introverted. I’m what the kids call cringe because I’m just so awkward. Typically I do a mobile order to avoid all socialization because I’m shy. However on my birthday, for my birthday drink, I decided if the store was empty I’d ask an employee for a drink recommendation to get me out of my comfort zone since it’s a free drink. I walked to the counter and Chuck (I believe that’s their name either Chuck or Kevin) greeted me and took on the challenge of choosing a drink for me. They were so determined to get me a good drink that I’d enjoy. I can tell they took this task I forced on them seriously and that really really touched me. They were so nice and patient with my silly request, and even with my awkward conversation they didn’t make me feel embarrassed or cringe for some things I was saying. Nate was also there. Nate has consistently been the sweetest most kind individual at every single visit to this store. (And I typically go 1-3 times a week) Even if I’m being quiet or to myself they greet me every time smile brightly etc. even when busy Nate makes me feel welcomed in the store even if some patrons are looking at me less positively. I truly don’t think I’ve met someone who seems as kind and genuine as Nate. They are so personable and seems like such an amazing person to have as a friend or employee. People like Nate give me hope for humanity. Genuinely. There was also a woman there whose name I didn’t get who makes me feel normal and not awkward, they engage in conversation she let me know that even though I’m 28 I don’t look old yet. Very lighthearted very sweet. As I was driving home after speaking with Chuck and Nate I literally cried because everyone was just the sweetest to me. You truly never know how much being kind does to someone and they made sure my birthday started off on a very beautiful note. These individuals are just lovely and I hope they get everything they desire in life.“

“I had a really good experience at this Starbucks location. The staff were very friendly and welcoming from the moment I walked in. One of the baristas especially stood out because she always had a smile on her face and stayed positive the entire time. “Spent a fortune at this Starbucks during Emeral City VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT over memorial day weekend ... probably over $100 plus the ridiculous 10.5% tax!!!!. Overall very nice posh location but slow, expensive, and lackluster fulfillment... one morning coffee was warm not hot, one days breakfast order was screwed up and we got three sandwiches with two being the wrong ones ( cheaper and less tasty ones too ). Points haven't showed up yet either.
Recommended...just verify freshness and accuracy before leaving.“

“Trader Joe's has the best stuff. Most of their stuff is by companies that make using only healthy ingredients. You do have to read the labels, because there are some things that have bad oils, etc. They don't read the labels for you, but they do have mostly naturally made stuff.“

“I went in at 6:45 to get my daily drink and the lady at the cash register who is always really nice, said we are closed.. same thing happened yesterday. I don’t understand? It says it’s open till 7. If not, change your hours. It’s a waste of time driving to your location to be turned away 15min prior to closing.“

“I think Starbucks is a very good coffee shop for me to go into especially now that I can go get my single Americano in either call or grande style I think that works pretty good and I sure like their point system it works very well for me besides that if I start earning points then I can actually get a reward for it because other coffee companies or coffee shop do I go to sometimes they have a point system where you earn up to 10 free points or whatever it is and you get a free cup of coffee or whatever and that's what I like about this because it saves a lot of people time and effort to go into a coffee shop like this to get their coffee and whatever else they need but I think what's really nice about is that I think one of their promotions would be later on is if you go out and get a cup of coffee from them they might offer you an idea to get one of those some Starbucks cards which are preloaded and basically what it is if you get one of those that's great and that's why the reason why I have one of those Starbucks cards to wear it basically I can get into a gold system or something like that that's what I have although I haven't used it lately but I'm going to think about starting to use it anyway when it's all said and done since I've only had that particular card for about 9 years it's very useful now if we got other people to start getting a hold of a Starbucks card which would basically mean if you gradually move into the point system or going to a tear like a gold card like what I've got basically it means you can put money on the card and that's it now if they do have you know preloaded Starbucks cards or if you can actually purchase a card all you have to do is just loaded and forget it and then when you come in to go get your coffee you have the card right there because basically they just act like a credit card and you won't have to worry about a single thing“

“Hidden coffee gem! Not very crowdy but with full scale traditional Starbuks service. But really hard to find. Many signs outside but if you come from its back you may not be able to find it without help. We entered through emergency entrance and I asked 3 or 4 times on our way if we were going right way or not. The staff was sweet and helpful, though. So, choose hospital's main entrance if you are shy to ask.“

“I am visiting (if you can call it visiting) from out of state, because my sister, who lives here was in a horrible car accident, and was taken to this hospital in emergency. There were several points throughout this week where we thought she was going to take a turn for the worst, but I am happy to report now that she is doing much better, and is on the mend! But during this time I visited the Starbucks to get some fuel for my mind and body, and as I was just ordering my usual, I’m sure I was wearing a look of massive exhaustion, because the girl who was making my order (her name is Arin) noticed that some thing was awry, and took a small amount of her time to chat with me a little bit, and she asked why I was there, so I told her. I’m sure working at a hospital she gets these kinds of stories a lot, but that did not diminish her kind and compassionate demeanor towards me, as I was going through a rough time. The conversation we had, albeit short as she had to return to work, really did make me feel a lot better. She also recommended that I tried the pistachio latte, which I got the next day as a hot drink because it is very cold in Seattle. (I am from Arizona, lol don’t judge) and although I think I will just stick to my usual order, the new recommendation and novelty of that helped put a little spark in my day, despite these trying times. We talked again, and she asked about my sister, and I was happy to report that she was on the mend now, and seeming to do massively better than she was doing the previous days. So when Arin’s face lit up with hope, it gave me a bit more hope too. She gave me well wishes to me and my family which was really sweet. So just goes to show how even a small amount of kindness can go a long way. It even made my sister feel better and laugh when I told her “the girl at Starbucks said you have to get better or it’s going to make her sad.” Haha. So thank you to Arin at Starbucks if by chance you ever read this as I’m not sure I’ll be able to visit before my sister’s discharge later today.“

I asked for it to be in a venti cup therefore I can get the full amount of cold brew with the full amount of foam. “Super fun experience tubing down the river on a hot day. Staff were all super nice and helpful. For tubing, be sure to ask directions to where you start - the location that comes up when you Google Maps to Osprey is where you go for rafting. The tubing location is closer to Leavenworth.“

“This place is good but nothing special. The staff is nice and drinks don’t take terribly long. They have very minimal merchandise though (cups) and there’s hardly anywhere to sit. This isn’t the kind of place you’d want to settle in and read or work remote or meet with friends. NOT a drive through location, but parking is easy.“
