MIGAKU Reviews
A great spot for authentic kaiseki in Seattle. The dishes are creative and the presentation is thoughtful, extending to the beautiful ceramics and plating. It’s a quiet, intimate space that’s perfect for a focused meal or a date. Service was excellent and professional. They apply an automatic 20% service charge but don’t ask for tips on top of that, which simplifies the end of the meal. I’m looking forward to returning.

Migaku offers an exceptional dining experience, serving authentic and high-quality Japanese cuisine. The kaiseki courses are precisely balanced with phenomenal flavors. The chef and waitstaff are incredibly friendly and attentive, showcasing their care for food. Standout dishes include the yaki-mono, chawanmushi, and panna cotta. The atmosphere is small and intimate, with a calm, minimalist warmth that makes guests feel like they’ve stepped out of Seattle and into Japan. Everything is quiet, precise, and intentional, highlighting deep skill, restraint, and care. The fish is pristine, with perfect cuts and presentation, not drowned in sauces or overdone. The wagyu is rich and memorable, stopping diners in their tracks. Portions are surprisingly generous for a high-end experience, providing great value. Service is outstanding—kind, attentive, and confident, with explanations that enhance the meal without over-talking. The presentation of each dish is beautiful, and the overall experience reminds many that washoku is an art. Migaku is a gem in Seattle, strongly recommended for a memorable meal.
