My partner and I came in for our first ever Magic: The Gathering pre release event (beginner’s night) and had a really fun time! The owner Elijah has curated a super chill vibe and atmosphere, and one that is very welcoming and inclusive. I will definitely be coming back for future events!
Also a great selection of beer and wine!
Came here for my first irl game night after learning mtg!! Super friendly and chill vibes.
The owner, Elijah, walked us through an intro to sealed deck building. He was extremely helpful and personable which always helps those (me) who feel nervous to try new things and/or learn new skills in the wild!
Def coming back here for commander nights :-)

U Wine Bar is a fantastic spot for socializing and enjoying tabletop hobbies with friends. The atmosphere is great, and the selection of wine is impressive, featuring delicious options like Toso Estate Malbec. Guests appreciate the clean and refined space, which is suitable for playing games like Magic, with plenty of room for bigger games. Although some furniture may be wobbly and the space is not the coziest, it remains a good place for a casual outing. The jalapeño pretzels and dark chocolate continue to be favorites, and the venue is well-maintained, including spotless bathrooms. U Wine Bar is dog-friendly and offers a lineup of fun events, making it a lovely addition to Wallingford. Guests have noted the friendly and prompt staff, and the option to bring pizza from Tutta Bella next door for a discount adds to the experience. It is highly recommended for a fun and relaxed outing, with the option to explore their curated wine selection and non-alcoholic options.
