“I got the Chicken and Waffles here. The chicken wings they had with it were pretty nice and juicy! The waffle was decent, if a bit different; it tasted kind of grainy, and kind of thin (almost like a pancake). The macaroni and cheese, I actually liked. The cheese they gave with it was a pretty good texture; decently thick! Overall, I would be happy to visit again.“
“We've been wanting to try this place, but we needed to plan ahead to make reservations. Very glad we did! I ordered the cardamom granola, my husband ordered the crab benedict, and my friend ordered the shakshuka, plus smashed potatoes for the table. We were all very happy with our orders! So so “
“Went to Sabine Cafe for a quick afternoon bite with my teenager. We chose some appetizers to share off the menu: fried cauliflower, whipped feta with veggies, and the Za’atar fries. The service was friendly and efficient. The food arrived quickly, too.The food is middle eastern influenced. My teen didn’t like the tahini and feta flavors, unfortunately. ? She made the most of it though and ate some of the food… but just didn’t love it.Personally, I really enjoyed the atmosphere and outdoor glassed-in dining area, but also wasn’t blown away by the food we chose. (I noticed they have a breakfast/brunch menu - maybe this would be a better option next time…)“
“Love this place! I always get the chicken fried chicken Benedict, their hollandaise is so so good. They get pretty busy at brunch time, so either be prepared to wait or have a back up option.Kid-friendliness: They have a kids menu with coloring. They don't have changing tables in the bathroom. If bringing a stroller, make sure it folds.“
“This is one of the best brunch restaurants in Seattle. Fresh and tasty egg dishes along with a pancake bar where you can choose from fruit, granola, and whipped cream. My favorite feature of Portage Bay is that you can substitute fresh fruit or a crisp salad for the usual potatoes. During this visit, the honey wheat toast was dry with only one pat of butter for a big piece. I had the Seattle Benedict, which is poached eggs topped with hollandaise on an English muffin. It was perfect! They serve Caffe Vita, the best coffee in Seattle. Portage Bay is my first choice for brunch.“
“I tried out this cafe to do some work as they allow dogs. The breakfast sandwich made on a fresh dense scone is amazing. The thing that really brought me back is the service. Every employee that I have met has been incredibly kind and shows so much love to my dog. They really seem to enjoy being there and it shows!“
“It's a very popular restaurant. When you go in, it feels like an ordinary breakfast restaurant. But the food delivered is amazing. In the photo, the meal looks ordinary, but in the middle is a rich crab steak, full of crab meat aroma. .The satisfying crab meat is worth trying.“
“Amazing food, fun service, and a really good fruit and topping bar. The whipped cream was so good. They even have outdoor seating with heaters. Open kitchen which is cool. If you have visitors I would recommend this place. If you have not been you must try!“
“The food here is excellent! The gourmet burger with blue cheese was seasoned perfectly. While the eggs Benedict were unique, they were served cold. The mimosas are reasonably priced. It can get a bit noisy at lunch, and the crowd tends to be younger, but I would definitely return for the quality of the food!“
“We love Portage Bay in West Seattle, and we like to bring my 2 year old because pancakes and berries! Weekends are always busy and bustling and full of energy. Weekdays are delightfully calm. Either way, the environment is cozy, the whole staff is awesome, and the food is always delicious.“
“I think the food here is really good, however the venue feels pretty cramped and they don't have table service. You order at the counter and hope for a table, basically.Kid-friendliness: Very tight spot, so wouldn't recommend people to bring kids here.“
