“We came for dinner tonight and we were greeted with the welcoming staff and their smiles. That set the stage for the evening. We started off with virgin mojito. It was refreshing and tasty. Then we ordered the mojito platter for appetizer which included the yucca fries, tostones and fried plantains. For entrees we had camarones Carmen Miranda, vaca frita and pescado mojito. Every single dish we tried were so perfectly seasoned, beautifully plated and delicious. You can tell that each dish is made with love. The flavors in each dish will remind you of a destination so far away, a culture represented in its food. We finished off our meal with the desserts, quesillo and tres leches. Both were delicious as well. I highly recommend this place. We will be back to try the rest of the dishes in their menu. This is a hidden gem. Luam, the owner is an amazing host, he’s the owner. He made sure that we had an unforgettable dining experience.“

“In town visiting friends, staying around the corner and the manager of the hotel suggested this spot.My husband is a serious carnivore and I have a ton of allergies. There were 4 of us so we ordered a variety of dishes to share. Eda was incredibly helpful with answering all my allergy questions. She definitely knows her menu and made sure there was something for everyone. Quality of food is everything and Cocina Casera didn’t disappoint - the soups, fries, bowl, and chicken sandwich were all super fresh and the flavors were incredible! We will definitely be back the next time we’re in town - sad they don’t have other locations - fingers crossed they will soon!Highly - highly recommend!Enjoy - you won’t be disappointed!Vegetarian options: Almost all dishes are vegetarian - you are in charge and can add the protein.Thank you Cosina Casera!!!Dietary restrictions: I have 8 of the 9 top allergies - so nice to find a place that gives you more than one item to choose from on the menu! Almost every item is vegan and you can add an animal protein if you want meat.“

“There is a familial warmth here that is just wonderful. An intimate, quaint, non corporate family owned and operated little haunt that is akin to being a guest in someone's home. The food is absolutely delicious and everybody we met here is so friendly.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly. All are welcome.“

“Yes. Just yes. Walked in to an empty spot at around 2pm on a Tuesday and was greeted with a nice smile and warm welcome. I work next door and have had my eye on this spot for a minute and I’m upset I didn’t go for it sooner! I went simple and got the Beef and Cheese Arepa and my oh my the flavor. The melty gooey cheese with that braised beef is perfection. Simple combo that is so hard to go wrong with, but easy to mess up and they nailed it, killed it, however you want to say it, it was a 10/10. It did look a little small, cute even, but once I dug in I knew I was in for a real meal, the portions are just right. I’ll be back here many more times to try out this extensive menu. I love trying new food and this place is a must! Now I gotta figure out what Venezuela is doing cause they’re doin’ it right. Anyways, they even have good vegan options which is awesome, so I’ll be back with my girlfriend for her to try the deliciousness too. Great stuff.“
