“I loved this place. Initially i thought it would be a long wait as i was on a long line, but it went fast. I like the hybrid model - order food and seat yourself. If you are solo, you can share a table with others. I loved the fresh buffet style condiments. The steak/tendon pho was excellent, very rich flavor, dominating star anise and cinnamon flavor. Generous portions. I also had the pork banh mi - very gentle bread texture, soft on the inside and crunchy crust on the outside. Again, plenty of meat and flavor, highly recommended.”
“We drive from Des Moines to Admiral district just to get our paws on some of these delicious Banh Mi!They are stacked with more meat than I’ve ever had on a banh mi before and the flavor is sublime! My tip would be to get there before they run out (that happened once and I was sad!)The coconut juice was also super good!”
“A must stop-by coffeehouse when you're in Seattle! Feels like you're in Vietnam as you enter the cafe. Tasty coffee and other beverages. Cozy settings with a small library in the far end of the cafe and a bit of art space too! Service was good and friendly. I had the coconut cream with coco bits which was delightful! If you're into Vietnamese culture, this is a good spot to explore.”
“Prices are good, food quality is good. I got a pork sandwich, vegetarian sandwich, and shrimp spring rolls. All were a little better than the Lee's Sandwiches in SoCal where I'm from. The place is a little dingy. Better for takeout.”
“Billard Hoàng | Vietnamese | Seattle | $50Legit the best wings in town + legit Vietnamese #goodeats that I can trust. We come every time we're in Seattle with 30+ people and everyone leaves happy Service is impeccable. We had 30 people show up and they happily took care of us and food came out pretty timely.Vibes were awesome, they have a billiards section we could play pool after after or before eating but we just end up taking over the corner and chatting the night away. Fish Sauce Chicken Wings Bố Luc lạc Regular Chicken Wings”
“Absolutely a mainstay in my Seattle restaurant rotation. Some of the best pho I've had in the area. The owners are so kind and the food is always consistent. The location is a little tough for parking, but rest assured even if you get takeaway the food is still so good.”
“The owners are pretty friendly and nice. The restaurant is clean and pho is good. I ordered no.9. There are three choices of size-small, medium, and large which I think it’s a good service. I don’t like ordering a full serving and ending up wasting food. I’ll come back to this restaurant again when I’m in this area.”
“I am a regular here for their Pho. I order it at least once a month. It is the best pho in the area hands down, with exceptional service. I have never had a bad experience. Plus the portions are a great size compared to what i've seen at other restaurants. The parking lot is a little small/tricky to navigate but that's not their fault, just good to know when coming. Love huong duong!”
“Super cute cafe with super cute baristas! The girl with the blonde under her hair makes the best Vietnamese coffee; you can taste the passion in her drinks! I don't often mention people in my reviews but she was so welcoming, it made my experience at CrackleMi very memorable and special!I ordered the Egg Coffee and the Soy Braised Pork Belly Banh Mi. The egg surprisingly makes the coffee richer and creamier (such a unique addition), I love it so much. The banh mi doesn't disappoint either. The pork belly was juicy and tender, extremely tasty!”
“We love the Grain House. The people who own it are lovely people and work hard. We love the fresh edamame, I like to get salmon sushi, my friend, the Bahn Mi's. The place is clean, the owners are super nice and they have a nice assortment of healthy food.”
“Decided to go since I live very close to it as it’s right next to my university. Went earlier with my boyfriend to check it out. I got the Brisket and he got the Chicken Pho. Everything was super delicious and the staff there was very friendly and greeted us and everything. The price was very nice too. I really recommend this place as the atmosphere is super awesome! :)”
“I just had the best ribs (garlic ginger spareribs over rice with egg) I have ever eaten in my life, off their specials menu. Their papaya salad was fresh and crunchy, and their grilled sliced boneless pork with vermicelli was seasoned with fresh vegetables and heated perfectly. As I was exiting, I told the owners that I will not be going to any other Vietnamese restaurants in the near future. Amazing. Delicious. Full of flavor. The ribs were perfectly smothered in one of the best sauces I have ever had.”
“Went to Vietlicious for the first time. I have to say but it’s very delicious. I’m mixed Vietnamese and white so I have some background knowledge of Vietnamese food. The cooking is very similar to my mom’s. The banh mi I ordered is the bbq pork banh mi and it was super good ?! Highly recommended! Love love love it ?!!!!”
“Outdoor/takeout lunch spot for Banh Mi and vietnamese coffee. In Seattle, it's most Banh Mi places only serve shredded meats which is strange. Voi makes them with traditional cold cuts and pâté (the way it should be made). We're from Vancouver, BC, so we've had some really good Banh Mi. These were quite good, the bread could be crispier and the pickled veggies could be pickled a little longer. I also think the salt and pepper at the end is unnecessary but to each their own. Would come back since Vancouver is too far away ?”
“Absolutely love the Beef Pho and the Signature Rice Dish Combo Bowl (you can select any two types of chicken). We always go for the Steamed Ginger Chicken and Crispy Panko Chicken and they’re both equally delicious, succulent and really filling! It’s also a bonus that the restaurant only closes at 10pm while many of surrounding restaurants close earlier.”
“Wowow this is one of the best coffees I ever had. It was my time in here and couldn't decide what to order, the staff is so kind they talked me through my top two and offered to make both if I didn't like my first pick. I went with the Salty Coffee and it was heavenly—THE FOAM! I'll be back for the Moody Matcha next!”
“Another delicious meal at Coba! This time I had the Beef Pho, which was fantastic, so flavorful. My husband had the Roasted Chicken Pho, with a chicken leg in it. The leg was chopped into pieces, but was still tedious to eat with chopsticks! He really liked it, I thought it was crazy to put chicken with bones in a soup. The food here is all so good, if only the service matched. We have never had anyone check on us, and always have to flag someone down for the check. It's noisy, and the tables are very close together. Really the best is takeout, so you get the good food, and serve yourself.”
“Brilliant tasting and unusual cocktails. Food an unexpected bonus (tapioca dumplings are one of the best things I've put in my mouth this year). Great service from proficient barstaff. Would return to Seattle just to have these cocktails again.”
“This place is one of the best banh mi spot I've visited. I got the grilled pork + egg and it was amazing. The house sauce was tasty. I couldn't get enough of it. They also have boba tea. I got the Thai tea, it was the perfect. Not too sweet and you can tell they brew their tea in store. ? The staff are super friendly and and service fast.”
“I love this place! We came on a pretty darn busy night so if you’re going to do that, have patience! <3We ordered the salt and pepper calamari and the grilled pork vermicelli bowl and steamed rice. Everything was so tasty!! Like I said, they were so busy but they did their best to serve us, we’re super kind and friendly. I will definitely be returning!! Thank you all for being such an awesome team and serving the community!!Kid-friendliness: There were a lot of kids in the restaurant :)”
“Great Pho whether beef, seafood, or chicken versions. The fried calamari is my favorite in town. The bò lá lốt, grilled beef wrapped in betel leaf is also super savory and juicy. Place is a little grungy could be straightened up a bit but most of the time the staff are attentive and kind.Parking: Usually always available parking.”
“This place looks like nothing to do from the parking lot. Then you walk in and it smells like the pizza place next door, but just laugh keep walking. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful and the staff is so attentive. I am not going to recommend anything because you can't go wrong here. If you are a vegetarian you will be thrilled at the selection and depth of flavor. If you are not a vegetarian I will bet you may not even notice there is no meat. I am a pescatarian-somewhere in the middle and I was so happy. They lost a star from me because they never seem to actually use the five star scale for suggested spiciness. I can never get enough heat. I suppose one could add it in but that never does it for me. Not enough to keep me away.”
“Serving sizes are good or above average, but delicious. On the higher end as far as prices go for this type of place, but it's Seattle. The dining area could use a bit more lighting, else opt for seating close to the sidewalk. Recommend this place.”
“This tiny Vietnamese spot is a hidden gem when it comes to affordability. While I didn't find the eggplant or shrimp dishes particularly flavorful, it's great to support a local business. Plus, with such budget-friendly prices, it's hard to complain. Just keep in mind there's a $5 minimum for credit card payments.”
“This place is delicious because of the kid's pho noodle soup. I'm giving this place a 5 star rating because this is my top favorite pho place and because I've never had better pho anywhere else."For real, my kids love it here. The veggie bahn mi is great also. Service is always great. Vegetarian options: Great veggie pho and bahn mi sandwiches.Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5”
“Three of my Asian co-workers from different households agree at that spring roll house has the best party trays at the best prices in all of Seattle. That's a courtesy. The lady who makes and sells the spring rolls sold me six freshly cooked spring rolls. I had intended to buy a large bottle of may ploy sweet chili sauce. She sold it to me at a very good price, like 1/3 of the Safeway price. There are probably a dozen other party trays that you can order. See the pictures. My Asian wife likes to eat cooked chicken feet. Spring roll house offers a party platter of chicken feet salad. To me. That's funny lol. It just sounds so unusual.I've tried cooked chicken feet. I think they're boiled and it's sauteed. I don't know. They're just isn't enough meat on them to make it worthwhile for me. Like many Asian foods, I think the attraction is in the fried skin.Anyhow, this is about egg rolls and I think I mentioned that they cost $1 each and are usually ordered in trace of 50 or 100.You can also go in and buy large bags of frozen spring rolls ready to cook. It appeared that a lady had two bags which would be 200." I said you're having a party?""No she said they're for my kids. My kids are old enough to cook their own snacks."Before I ordered my sample she said that they are pork and shrimp. I can see the pork. Maybe the shrimp are another variety. Maybe the shrimp is mixed in and like dashi in Japanese cooking. It doesn't have to be an explicit taste.Well, the next time we have a party I know where we're going to go for party trays. In the Asian tradition my wife sends a lot of food to my workplace on holidays and I do have a birthday coming up. I could save her a lot of work and get really popular food by going to SPRING ROLL HOUSE!The spring rolls are DELICIOUS!”
“We ordered a take out order.1) Roasted Veggie Banh-mi : This one was an absolute flavor burst. One could never imagine sweet potato tasting that great. 10/10 recommended. Get it with Jalapeños if you like a kick of spicy.2) Sweet Potato Laksa - This one was good too, just how I imagined it. The gravy was at right consistency, noodles not overwhelming and tofu done right. The bean sprouts added the perfect crunch. Definitely recommend this if you want a nice warm cozy meal.Would definitely come back to try more and also see what extra they offer in their dine in menu.”
“The lady working here is so sweet! This is definitely a hole-in-the-wall type spot, and we almost couldn't find it when looking for it. The inside is quite small with a few tables put closely together in the room, and the entire space is all tight. I ordered the pork banh mi, which came on a toasted baguette with marinated pork, pickled radish and carrot, and a couple other classic toppings. The pork was delicious - super well marinated, tender, and mixed with the mayo made the sandwich super good. There weren't enough pickled veggies as I would have liked, but of the amount there it was good. We also got an egg noodle soup which was great too - the broth was flavorful and the noodles were perfectly cooked. For a quick bite, I would definitely recommend this spot! Nothing super mindblowing, but a solid place for food.”
“Got the chicken vermicelli bowl for to-go!WOW, I really didn't expect that!!! Quick service and amazing food!!I was so surprised by that location because you wouldn't expect the great food. Very fresh and delicious! Now, I just wanna come back here to try more.Casual ambiance with friendly service.”
“Great experience. We walked a mile to reach this place. I'm grateful we did. The food was great and helped my wife comeback from a sever headache thanks to the soup! I definitely recommend for a great place to eat Vietnamese cuisine. Thank you!”
“Went to Kkokio Korean Fried Chicken Asian Fusion. I have to say but their chicken ? is super delicious and flavorful!!! I also ordered a side of fries with cheesy powder seasoning! Hella bomb ?!!!! Also, the owner knows me and she randomly gave me a free drink which is an Italian Cream Soda! So nice of her! What a wonderful experience! Highly recommended! Love love love it ?”
“Tamarind Tree is, as it self-describes on Google maps, a popular spot for inventive Vietnamese cuisine & cocktails in an elegant, soothing setting. I would say that is fairly accurate. It definitely is more than just your run-of-the-mill pho house or Vietnamese restaurant. The flavors pop out of the ingredients with each bite, and the portions are very generous. However, it's worth noting that Tamarind Tree does lean on the pricey side. While the experience is undoubtedly top-notch, it may not be suitable for everyday dining due to the expense. That said, the quality and innovation in their food make it a place I'd be more than happy to revisit on special occasions or as a reward for myself next time I time make the unenviable trip to the airport to pick someone up to drop someone off.”
“It appears that both meekong bar and the burger place are one but they have two locations in google maps. The burger was very fresh and tasty but I would say a bahn mi sandwich is probably still tastier. The service was fast and the place looks good.”
“This was a great spot in Seattle that's close to a lot of main attractions. The service was extremely quick and the quality was wonderful. We enjoyed the Chicken Pho, Steak pho, shrimp spring rolls, and the traditional wings. The pho noodles were cooked wonderfully and the broth had a great flavor. The restaurant filled up very quickly which wasn't shocking, however, since the service is quick it was not an issue. Our overall meal was around $50 and was very filling!”
“best vietnamese fried chicken!! we always get a tray if we have guests over/have a party and they're always a hit. If you've never tried fish sauce wings, you need to!! Plus, you can freeze the leftovers and they're just as good after airfrying. The owner is super friendly and nice. We can't wait to come back and try more things!”
“Super cute space and delicious food! The portions are nice and large and the service was really fast! We got the grilled ribeye bowl, the smokey pork chop vermicelli, and the crispy pork egg rolls. Definitely will be returning ? excited to try their coffee options ☕️”
“This establishment offers genuinely authentic Vietnamese cuisine. If you're curious about the exquisite flavors of pho, bun bo hue, hu tieu, and mi quang, this is the place to experience them. It's like a culinary journey to southern Vietnam, with identical, mouthwatering tastes.”
“I eat here all the time. They have a great location in downtown Ballard, excellent pho, and great tofu fresh rolls. They tend to give you a delicious mint with your check that has a very unusual texture - I can’t find it anywhere else. Definitely recommend it!”
“Love the pho here although my personal favorite is the vermicelli pork bowl. All the dishes are well served you won’t leave hungry. Only downside is the Bhan mi not my personal favorites but still good. The service is fast have not had one negative experience here.”
“we went in without a reservation but was seated immediately. during busy hours, I would recommend calling beforehand. the food was good but slightly over priced for what it was. The atmosphere was cute though and the corner of the store is so adorable. The severs were nice and often checked up.”
“Highly recommend the butter chicken wings. Beautifully crispy, savory, and juicy!! Also recommend the braised duck with egg noodle and if you're feeling adventurous the intestines with rice noodle soup. Parking can be difficult especially during dinner hours as this resturant is shared with many other stores. However, there is a small underground parking garage. Also their only open until 6:30pm daily and closed on tuesdays”
“Thien Phat is about 5 to 7 minutes south of International District on Rainier Ave S. While I normally go to CID or Little Saigon, I detoured to Thien Phat instead because they have been suffering from break-ins, thefts, and all-around criminal insanity. Since the pandemic, they fell behind on rent and is on the verge of closure after 13 years in business. Their loyal customer base is campaigning for them, and a go-fund-me is open. Vanishing Seattle, "Find Me in Seattle", and NW Asian Weekly have written/posted about them, but progress remains slow. On the day we went (9/17), we drove up to see both their front doors had smashed glass, despite having bars on their doors and windows. From their security cameras, a SUV backed into their doors then used chains to pull the bars/doors open. The only things taken are change, the tip jar, and change for leukemia fund. Sigh. I felt safe when I was there. These petty crimes are more about the cash than intent to harm. They unfortunately leave damages that cause thousands of dollars to fix each time. Seattle, do better for these small businesses!Oanh is the face of the restaurant, and the daughter of the cook. Opening the restaurant is the mom's dream. Oanh is a bubbly and kind server/proprietor. As we dine, we overheard other customers inquiring about their situation. Oanh continues to put on a brave face and that they'll keep the restaurant open for as long as they can. All my friends who live in the area commented that they love this place. So there you have it, give them a try, help them out if you can, find them on gofundme.Parking is easy. They have their own lot. The interior is simple. Staff is minimal during dinner hours as they tend to be busier for lunch. The food came out quickly! The cost is very reasonable, competitive to ID, and much, much lower than the Eastside. The Food:Pho Dac Biet, $12.95 - 5 Stars This is the combo pho with everything. Flavorful broth, lots of protein, fresh meats. No complaints.Mi Dac Biet, $13.95 - 5 StarsThis is the egg noodle soup with shrimps, fish balls, and squid. Normally there is pork and ground pork but I asked to skip those. It is huge! I couldn't finish it. The chew of the noodles and the broth are both very good. Goi Cuon Tom, $6.95 - 4.5 StarsShrimp spring (or fresh) rolls. Well stuffed rolls that filled me up, so I couldn't finish my noodles. Hahaha.Take home dishes (The photos look duller after a long drive):Com Tam Thien Phat, $14.95 - 4.5 StarsMenu: Broken rice with short ribs, shredded pork skin, egg cake, shrimps on a skewer, sunny side up eggAn excellent and filling combo dish. It tasted good even after re-heating two days later. I cooked a side of veggies to complement, and this rice dish became two meals. Mi Xao - 2 orders, 1 with beef, 1 with shrimp, $13.95 to $14.95 - 3.5 StarsMenu: Stir fried yakisoba/thin egg noodle with choice of protein and veggiesThese two noodle dishes weren't as good as the other dishes. The egg noodle is the soft chow mein noodle. I thought it was the type in the noodle soup, which is skinnier and have a better chew. Both dishes didn't have a distinctive flavor. I added seasoning to both when I reheated and re-stir-fried. The portion is excellent though. Side note: Friends suggested their fish sauce wings and lemongrass beef banh mi.”
“Easily, without a doubt, the best teriyaki you can get at Ballard Pho and Teriyaki. There is absolutely no establishment within 10 feet serving teriyaki of the caliber produced here. Further, out of all of the one servers who helped me, that server provided, hands down, the best service they have ever provided to me the one time I ate there. Overall, out of the one times I visited this restaurant, it was the best experience I’ve ever had at this restaurant that one time.”
“Hoang Lan Restaurant has the best Vietnamese Bún bò Huế in town. The restaurant used to take cash only, which I rarely go to because of that. Now they accept debit and credit cards as well. The staff and the food are excellent, especially the Bún bò Huế. It's unique, and you can taste it -- the soup is very flavorful! The best time to go is on a weekday. It can be a little hectic on the weekend; it gets crowded and limited seating, so you'll have to wait a while to be seated.Hoang Lan is the place if you want a savory bowl of Bún bò Huế.”
“Cute, newly renovated space with great high top window seating and summer patio space looking out at 1st Street making for some interesting people watching. Super nice staff and proper menus rather than hella annoying QR codes. My lemongrass chicken rice dish was amazing and the portion was HUGE! Great addition to Pioneer Square!”
“Best tasting pho, most comfortable setting, and best prices in White Center. My wife and I have tried at least 5 places in West Seattle, this place is the best. We honeymooned in Vietnam, so always love the feeling of a bowl of fresh pho.Service is done by a kind old Vietnamese man. The noodle soups are all great. Want to highlight the Hue noodle soup and the rice cake dish.”
“I always get the monk burger while a friend swears on the beef satay pho. Love they're vegan, GF, and vegan options. Excellent service, excellent food, super cute ambiance. I'm in this area often and this is one of the 3 restaurants that I eat at regularly.”
“I picked up a half pound of roast pork and was pleasantly surprised at how meaty and delicious the pieces were, something I've never gotten from the bbq places in the ID (most are at least 70% fat, if not 90%).I've had the roast duck banh mi and the pork/egg/avocado banh mi too, and both were great.”
“I think this is some solid Banh Mi for the price. The bread is what you would hope for, fluffy with a slightly crispy exterior. Highly recommend the grilled beef, which was not overdone but had nice grill marks on it. The pickled carrot/onion combo was nicely seasoned and everything that should be crisp was. It's a filling sandwich under ten bucks with great bread, hard to argue with it. Good customer service also.”
“Excellent Vietnamese vegan options with a kind, compassionate, and generous staff. They just had their storefront windows broken but took time out of their day to serve guests and provide free samples. This little shop is a treasure. Please visit for yourself and support their community work.”
