“I really enjoy the atmosphere of this cafe. It seems to support aapi artists and entrepreneurs as there are books and merchandise from creators for display and on sale in thr shop. I got a banh mi as well as some vietnames coffee. The banh mi was quite good. The coffee, was much too sweet for my tastes and I could not enjoy it. If you want to try the coffee for a coffee taste, I suggest not adding any toppings.“
“3.5 Stars Trendy cafe with eclectic decor (fake plants, cartoons, selfie booth,Taylor Swift cardboard cutout (?) ). They did an incredible job on the branding (coolest logo ever)! The Banh Mih Dip ($15) was super tasty, thought it was priced a tad on the high side for the size. Unfortunately, that specific day I was also hoping it would be a healthier option than it was but ah well lol, gotta live. The description said it would have a slathering of pate (I love pate) but it really was more mayo heavy if anything (was the pate forgotten? hmm). It was delicious dipped in the broth (the soft crispy baguette soaks it up). Sort of reminded me of a cheesesteak. Really messy to eat. The brisket was on the fatty side, which I prefer - yum! BF got the chicken vermicelli bowl ($17) which he enjoyed. They are very busy, limited seating inside. Located in pioneer square. Order a the counter and the staff bring your order out with a smile :)“
“I visited this speakeasy on a Friday night with my husband on recommendation from friends. It is a very small place and mostly seatings are around the bar. Didn’t sound appealing to me but believe me it was fun! I would recommend going in small group of 2 or max 4. I don’t think they accept reservations but we got a table within 10 mins of putting our names. The drinks are amazing! Very flavorful and well made! I loved the dua dua coconut if you are a coffee fan you must try the ca phi tini! Cooling water is also refreshing. In terms of food, we had pho which is made in pho bac downstairs. We also had the tofu rolls and the broccoli cheese dip. My only critic is that the dip came in much later and we were full from the pho so couldn’t do justice with the dip. It was pretty cheesy and heavy. Overall fun time proof being I forgot to click pictures of the drinks ;)“
“Amazing bun bo hue. The broth was very rich and flavorful. I will say: the short rib is unnecessary and I wouldn’t have it added next time. The meat was just hard to chew off the bone. Other than that, I loved the soup. As someone from Houston where Vietnamese food is hard to beat, this place did it well.“
“This is my favorite spot in Greenwood. The phos and the beef salad are excellent. And, the portions are big. Each time we visit I leave very full. The first time we came on a Friday around 6:30 and had to wait about 45 minutes. Since then, we've arrived earlier at 5:30, and there hasn't been a wait. So, it's all about coming it at the right time. Even if you do have to wait, I think it's worth it.“
“I've been searching for a signature bahn mi spot ever since Anne's in Ballard shut down and this is by far thee BEST bahn mi place I've been too in years !!! The sandwiches are huge, pretty thick cut. Very satisfying and you will get full probably just on half :) permanent customer here and its not often I double back to places !“
“The food is very delicious and moderately expensive. Personally, the fried food such as fried squid was very delicious, and the banh xeo was also delicious, but the duck noodles were so-so. The sauce and frying of the fried squid are amazing. The sauce for the duck noodles is slightly soybean paste or miso based. The balance is good, but if you are not used to okura or don't like the sticky feel, you may like it or not. Banh Xeo also had really fried eggs that were really delicious. The vegetables were also fresh. Next time I visit, I think I'll eat all the fried food! Also, the sector serving drinks was a bit separate, but the staff didn't bring cola even though I was playing. I asked for it quickly twice, but they didn't give it to me until I finished eating, which was a bit absurd. There weren't many people in the restaurant, but the Asian woman who served was really smart and did her job quickly, but the drinks section was a bit different. I don't think the staff service balance is right. Next time I think I won't order a drink.“
“My partner chose Stateside for his birthday dinner, and it was all around an excellent experience! Ambiance is modern, clean, and not stuffy at all. You'd feel just as comfortable in athleisure as you would in dressy cocktail attire here. Staff was welcoming and extremely knowledgeable, and paced the meal perfectly. We started out with a cocktail each--I can't recall the names as their website cocktail menu does not match what we saw, but my partner had a mule with lime leaf and galangal that was absolutely spectacular. The lime leaf and galangal made my palate SING and it was hands down the best iteration of a mule we've ever had. Now the most important part: FOOD. CRISPY DUCK FRESH ROLLS | Y'all weren't playing, this was the GOAT, and by far our favorite dish. It was texturally perfect, and I do not throw that description around lightly. The crispness of the spring roll inside a fresh roll!? Absolutely genius. I will say that my Korean American palate registered the seasoning on this as just barely teetering on a tiny bit oversalted side (esp with the accompanying dipping sauce), but the texture was so divine that I really can't dock it. STICKY RICE DUMPLINGS | A deconstructed dumpling, really. The rice dumpling on its own would have been nothing to write home about, but the combination of everything (ethereally fluffy dungeness crab! earthy maitake! perfectly cooked taro!) with the broth made it all work so well, especially texturally. The broth was basically buttery liquid gold. MASTER STOCK CRISPY CHICKEN | This was perfectly good chicken, but I can't say it was that memorable as a whole. We ordered a side of the brussel sprouts which were delicious (again, texture was on point with the rice cracker pieces) as well as the ginger rice to go along with this, and I have to say the brussel sprouts were far more memorable. Superb texture really seemed to be the central theme of our dinner, so while I'd really recommend Stateside to everyone, I'd ESPECIALLY recommend it for those who have an extra appreciation for textural masterpieces.“
“This was by far the most delicious bread I’ve had in a really long time! It was almost I got to eat that bread from that scene in Ratatouille (where she cracks the bread). I got the tofu banh mi and it was absolutely delicious! The servers were very kind (got us free rolls before food since it took a while longer than expected) and the restaurant gives you an overall “visiting my aunt for some delicious home cooked food” vibe. The only downside of this place is the location (full of homeless and shady people) but honestly the food makes it absolutely worth itVegetarian options: Fully vegan!“
“SERVICE: immediately met by friendly hellos and warm greetings. very nice throughout the whole ordering process and extremely helpful. FOOD: to start i ordered a taro boba tea and my boyfriend ordered a wintermelon tea with rainbow jelly. both drinks were really good, and the rainbow jelly was super tasty. the taro boba always slaps. i ordered a chicken pho with mushrooms and tofu; the broth was good and super flavorful. my partner got tonkotsu ramen, he said the broth was very savory, the pork was fatty and delicious, and the noodles were perfectly cooked. he wanted it a little spicier so he added chili oil to the broth which he said made it amazing! AMBIANCE: its a very cozy atmosphere and is a perfect place for students to come and grab a quick bite. PRICE: reasonably priced for seattle food. LOCATION: amazing location for seattleu students, its on the corner of a busy street with a decent amount of foot traffic and is easy to get to. GENERAL OPNION: we love this place, and we have been going to this place since 2022, the food has always been superb and the boba is always amazing. its a go to spot that we recommend to everyone who visits the area.“
“I never leave reviews but I’ve become a weekly regular with what I like to call “pho Friday” and this place deserves a lot of love. I’ve tried a lot of pho places in Seattle but aside from this one being one of the few closest to me, it’s also the best. The owner is extremely sweet and welcoming and just has such a happy aura. The staff is also really nice and quickly learned my order after just a few visits. But in terms of food it really is my favorite; they give you a lot of meat and noodles, and the broth is probably the best broth I have had, it’s extremely flavorful!“
“Simple and easy service. The pho is real good, the broth is legit. The prices are good for Seattle area.Man, you can’t really make pho broth any better. They perfected the broth recipe. I’d eat here again. The parking is tight and seems a bit messy. The area is pretty ghetto but it is what it is.Parking: Free parking on site but very limited during busy hours.“
“The atmosphere is bright and cheerful. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food is fantastic! I had the #1 pho noodle soup. The bowl is huge, and there was surprisingly alot of meat in the bowl. The broth! The broth was amazing and a perfect balance of flavors. Highly suggest eating here!“
“Forgot to take a pic because i devoured my bahn mi right away. First time here. - I got the cold cuts sandwich. Veggies were crispy and almost vinegary enough for my kraut taste buds :P the baguette was light and crunchy as it should be! I had never had a proper cold cuts + pate Bahn mi before but the pate, oh man!! Changed my standards. I also got a condensed milk coffee which was good and strong. Always nice to find a semi affordable and quick lunch spot near work. I also appreciate them being open at 11!“
“Best Banh Mi sandwich I have had in as long as I can remember. I only ran in to order, I didn’t dine in but the place is SUPER CUTE on the inside and the service I did experience was also equally amazing! 11/10 would eat again! (I ate my sandwich before I could take a picture of it)“
“Will always be in support of more pho shops opening up in Seattle! Stopped by for a quick lunch in the middle of a very cold day and immediately felt the warm embrace of that hot broth. Everything tasted super clean without compromising flavor, which is truly hard to find these days. Didn't expect to enjoy the pho so much because it's a relatively small and unassuming shop. But it is ran by the sweetest family who got my food out in less than 2 minutes. Definitely a great additional to this area of capitol hill. Would highly recommend.“
“Love this place! Seating is a little tight because it's so popular but their food is pretty good! Very affordable and always consistent with the taste and flavor. I would recommend but I don't want others to visit so I don't have to wait. lol“
“We went for the first time and the owner was so kind and helpful. The KFC is superb and incredibly crunchy even after taking the leftovers home. The two dips we got on the side were house sauce and soy garlic. Both were great flavor contrasts. The pickled daikon really helped cut the fat. The decorations were very modern. I appreciated the decoration. It was nice icing on the cake but the food and the owners genuinity are what really makes this place a top notch restaurant. She should be super proud of what she's done.“
“Absolutely solid Vietnamese food. Everything is always very well-made and high-quality. We order takeout from here quite often and the noodle salad Bowls are cut above the rest. We also adore the great chicken wings with tons of flavor and messy goodness on your hands. The salad wraps are also phenomenal. This is the spot to go if you’re looking for authentic Vietnamese cuisine. They also deliver super Duper fast.“
“For over 15 years, this has been my favorite Vietnamese restaurant. They offer so many delicious dishes, tucked away in a parking lot, you wouldn't expect much from this place. However, as soon as you step inside, it feels like a little oasis. Even though I don't live in Seattle anymore, I still dream about their dishes.“
“My wife and I ordered take out. She's a foodie and harsh critic but had nothing but glowing reviews for the dishes we ordered. We usually get pho from a few other spots on Aurora but we're going to stick to this place for the time being. Very impressed! Pairs well with Rainier “
“Overall Thoughts: This takeout only spot in Seattle’s Little Saigon is small but quite chaotic with workers buzzing around you and a busy line usually forming around lunch. For $6, the banh mis are very solid and hit the spot; the bread is fresh and flakey. They also have a large selection of packaged foods and hot lunch boxes, which all looked delicious. The service is quick and efficient with no frills. They accept both card and cash.Food I tried:- Roasted pork belly banh mi (4.5/5): The pork belly was really fatty, but flavorful and delicious. The ratios of bread to pork to veggies were good.- Three kinds of ham banh mi (4.4/5): The pate was creamy and the cold cuts were tasty; this is a classic that you can’t go wrong with.- Banh cuon - prepackaged (4.4/5): Tasted good; its soft and delicate texture paired nicely with the crispy shallot toppings and delicious sauce.—Price (relative to peers): 4.6/5Food: 4.4/5Ambience: N/AService: 4.5/5Overall Value: 4.5/5“
“I came in here because I needed to use the bathroom before my son's soccer game but I am glad I did. I got the regular sized pho #4 which is half steak half brisket. The broth was very flavorful and the veggies were fresh. The broth was very hot and I burned my hand but it was worth it. It needs to be hot to cook the steak, which was perfectly medium after sitting in the broth for 5 minutes.“
“Consistent, good prices, great people and atmosphere. I’m glad we have this place soclose to home. Pho and Banh mis baby!! All the food is delicious, seriously.Parking: My only gripe is the parking. There simply isn’t much around so you may have to park around the block and walk in, first world problems I know.“
“Utterly incredible dining experience! The dishes are bursting with freshness and flavor. Consider your tastebuds tantalized!? The staff work hard to attend to every minor detail, even without request. The green papaya salad was light & refreshing—I would highly recommend it! ?“
“It’s not much from the outside (to understate it a but) and half the interior is a pool hall (as the name implies), but the food is very tasty and well presented. They have a diverse menu, with lots of specialties beyond the pho found all over Seattle. Definitely worth going back to.“
“Only Pho place I got to . Have been going here for a decade . I've tried other pho only to waste my time and money with dish water broth n booty sweat. No this place is different and will always have excellent food . Crips clean and rich favor.“
“As a Vietnamese, I can be picky and have high expectations with Viet food. Because The Boat has a very simple menu, they delivered - in speed and quality. The chicken was crispy and moist, the mì trộn noodles was well seasoned, the soup was yummy. We also got the pandan waffle and that was quite nostalgic. Highly recommend!“
“Embark on a culinary journey at Alki Pho, where impeccable service and tantalizing flavors converge to create an unforgettable dining experience. introduced by a friend Angela H for her sister's wedding reception, I was astounded by the remarkable service and delectable dishes this hidden gem has to offer. Truly a haven for food enthusiasts!“
“Places like this are genius. You order at a kiosk so it's perfect for introverts. The food is absolutely delicious. Their pho broth is scrumptious. Their pho tater tots and egg rolls are also yummy. I haven't figured out the beer situation there. It's apparently self-serve. This is place is also great to watch a game as they have HUGE TV's. Great for pre or post game eats.“
“We chose to try this restaurant specifically because they had Bun Bo Hue and Bun Rieu on their menu. The Banh Beo was an extra treat for us.Both broths were good but not extraordinary. The Bun Bo Hue needed more chilli shrimp paste. You unfortunately could taste the freezer burn of the fried tofu in the Bun Rieu. And the pork blood was overcooked in both soups, but I was still happy they even had it at all. The rest of it was delicious and was overall happy with our meal.We saw Bun Cha on their menu but it’s only offered during the week. Would definitely come back to try it! It’s hard to find Bun Cha on Vietnamese menu’s outside of Vietnam. The Banh Beo tasted good but was a little too thick. Large serving size for the price, but would’ve been better if it were thinner.Parking is free on the surface lot and $2 underground. Tight parking lot but manageable.“
“Sweet operation with a friendly staff. The food was fresh, flavorful, and fast! I had the tofu banh mi. YUM! The ratio of bread to filling was great. The bread was slightly crispy on the outside, warm and delicious. The sauce and veggies along with the tofu made for a crave-able meal. I’ll definitely be back!It is in the Uwijamaya food court so atmosphere isn’t ideal. Get it to-go and find a scenic spot in the city to enjoy it.“
“This was my first time eating here and the Pho was excellent. Was also my 1st time eating shrimp Pho and it was delicious. Everything was fresh and the broth some of the best I've ever had. The lemonade had a unique flavor also and is a hidden gem on the menu. I'll be back soon for sure.“
“The sandwich was very good, crispy bread, saucy, and nice flavors. The ordering kiosk was not great as the 2 sandwiches were same and could not be individually customized. The dinning room is a quick eat and run kind of set up no real atmosphere. Service was quick.“
“Awesome plant based, vegetarian, vegan options amongst a menu loaded with delicious meat based "standard" fare. Pretty amazing cocktail menu as well. Attended a 12 person family dinner on a Sat night as the only vegan- everyone went home well fed and happy.Vegetarian options: For appetizer and main entree, I had at least 2 options to choose from as a vegan. Banh mi sandwiches, tofu noodles, kale & quinoa salad are some examples. I was satisfied with the number of options, their presentation, and most importantly, their taste.“
“I used to frequent this place often for their vegetarian food. Recently, I revisited and discovered that it's been under new management for the past four years. They've remodeled the interior and made some improvements. The place looks much nicer than before, and they have an entirely new menu. The staff were friendly but a bit slow. The food is still pretty good, although the prices have increased significantly. They now offer longer hours than before. Overall, it remains a great spot for Vietnamese vegetarian cuisine.“
“Bun thit nuong - individually, the components were good, but overall it was way too dry. It really needed some do chua (pickled carrot and daikon) to balance out the flavors, and/or more nuoc cham.Pho tai nam - very flavorful broth, good!Interior / ambiance is absolutely stunning. Very cozy and upscale. Good service!“
“This place is and underrated gem! I had a great beef pho when I was visiting Seattle and my friend had a Meekong burger and plus some fried dumplings and crab rangon. The appetizers was good but I’ve had better but the main course was wonderful! Huge portions of delicious food with great price. They make the bun for their burger themselves so they are really special.“
“I absolutely love this place. The service is always so friendly and cheerful, the orders are made quickly, and above all I don't think you can beat their prices. We always get the pork banh-mi sandwiches which are to die for and I think they might be the cheapest ones I've found in Seattle that are still good and have a lot of free ingredients.“
“If you're in the mood for some delicious Vietnamese cuisine, Rainier Restaurant is the place to go. The broken rice with pork is definitely a standout dish - it's absolutely delicious. Cocktails and drinks here is really as well. The staff is friendly and overall it's a great place to eat.❤️ ?“
“Food is excellent but on take out orders there is too much sauce and leaks through the takeout container into the bag. Last time there was hole in the bag and the sauce dripped everywhere before I realized. Need better containers or to use less sauce.“
“I've never been into the restaurant...we have gotten delivery several times. It's so yummy! Just so yummy! I am vegetarian, and all of the dishes that I've eaten have been amazing. My kiddo likes the smoked pork rice bowl with an egg on top! Great value for the price! They don't seem to be engaging in shrink-flation, which I appreciate!“
“Wow, really tasty food. Had 2 Bahn mi's - tofu and pork. Both loaded with fillings, they definitely didn't skimp. Also tried the fresh rolls/summer rolls, and the peanut sauce is fantastic! Parking was easy, ordering was easy, food came super fast, prices were cheap, all around a totally satisfying experience and this will be a future stop for sure. The owner did make it Crystal Clear that starting on 3/1/24, their prices are going to increase by a dollar, I think is amount he said.“
“This place was amazing! Electric attitudes from the staff and great service. Timing of ordering was great from the drinks, to the appetizers and the entrees. The atmosphere is also wonderful and homelike. We ordered the crab Rangoon, fried pancake, spicy Kimchi calamari, a vegan Bahn Mi sandwich, and the Pho Combo. Everything was really fresh and the portions were plentiful!Vegetarian options: A lot to choose here for vegetarians/vegansDietary restrictions: Tons of vegan options“
“The pho is really freaking good, and the prices are the best for what you get. The atmosphere is non existent, but at these prices and quality, I'm fine with that.Great lunch spotWheelchair accessibility: I don't think a wheelchair would have an easy time navigating the tight space...“
“Boyfriend took me here. He absolutely loves Vietnamese food (he has spent some time there). I had a sandwich that was chock full of veggies and had so many layered tasted I was so pleasantly delighted. Very fresh ingredients and well made. Looking forward to coming back.“
“This is a wonderful place to grab banh mi and coffee in Fremont. My daughter had the bun and I had a dark soy sauce tofu banh mi and everything was perfect. We also had a mango smoothie that was so thick it almost didn't fit through the straw and one of the most delicious and lovingly made double espressos I've ever had. Too bad I didn't take pictures but I was so hungry I forgot.Vegetarian options: Delicious tofu banh mi options.“
“Always come here with my boyfriend for a bowl of Pho or Bun Bo Hue. Broth is always great and fresh ingredients always used, never ever disappointed here. The outside isnt the most inviting looking (barred for safety I assume) however don’t be shy. Inside is clean, fully equipped with all your soup needs lol. Owner is a really kind Uncle. Recommend for sure. ?“
“I wish I could give Pho Viet Anh more than five stars. It is a fantastic place for a quick snack before a Seattle Kraken game. The best part is that Pho Viet Anh is a quick walk to the Climate Pledge Arena, less than a 10-minute walk. Everything we got was delicious and filling. The pork and shrimp salad roll was outstanding, a great start to the meal, and the icing on the cake was the King Special noodle soup. The next time we are in Seattle, we will make a return and try the other items they offer.“
“I have been here almost every single morning since I’ve tried this coffee place! I am totally addicted. I’m going to be bringing everyone I know here, it truly is the best and everyone who works here is so genuinely kind and helpful ❤️ also incredibly quick, quality service for the volume of people they can have! I am so happy to have found this place, I get the iced Salty Coffee please do yourself a favor and go here!!!“
