“The pho was pretty good. Not the best I’ve ever had, but enjoyable. And the wait staff was very attentive and kind. When we’re in Burien we would go back again.“

“Pho was decent. The woman at the counter initially hung up on me because she couldn’t understand me. Why? No clue. I had to call back where she had a customer speak to me on the phone, answer my question, and place my order. Got there and everything was fine. I might try it again but haven’t fully decided yet.“

“This spot feels less like a restaurant and more like a community hub. Homey & welcoming.
Coming from the restaurant background, I grew to love food places that have no gimmicks and are true to their standard - Pho Liu is on top of that short list in Seattle.
I go here 3 times a week & they serve consistently high quality pho. The small bowl (pictured) is more than enough & leaves room to try their delicious apps. Fish-sauced wings, spring rolls, egg rolls are all phenomenal.
One way to tell they take care of their craft is how long the noodles can sit in the broth without releasing any starch. Fresh noodles, perfectly cooked, and well strained. Also their bean sprouts and herbs are extremely fresh. Never once have I had soggy or bitter bean sprouts here - which is more common at pho places than you’d think.
The owner family & servers here are great & kind people, as well. The subtle cues are how many regulars I’ve seen on random visits and how well the fish (in the fish tank) are taken care of.
This neighborhood place is truly one of the last pre-tech boom Seattle relics.“

“10/9/2021 Recommend? Yes. I arrived right after they open with my luggage because I was starving from my long train ride in from Whitefish, MT. The server was super nice. He got me hot tea and banh cam to settle in with. I ordered bo bia (autumn rolls), vegan pho, and roasted pork banh mi (to go). The banh cam had a thick dough and it was huge. Two of those could've been a whole meal. Everything I ordered was delicious and they were so kind! My favorite was definitely the banh mi. It was even good after I had refridgerated it. The best part was the vegan butter and vegan pate. I absolutely loved it, best vegan banh mi I've had.“

“It is wrong that we pretend that the bánh mìis only supposed to be one way. Often folks want to”cheapest best,” or you’ll get one in a sit down restaurant that is beautiful but less than the sum of its parts. I really enjoy Gion because while it may cost a bit more, it’s actually a fair price until you try to finish the whole sandwich. Then you’ll find it’s a great price. But not too big to eat, fresh, thoughtfully balanced, and served warm. Best of all is the bread. The bread is so good that on the rare chance I finish my bánh mìthe next day, the bread still tastes fresher than most sandwiches.“

“Previously a 7 year resident of the community, I was tipped about this restaurant by an area resident 3 years into living in Seattle back in 2011. After the first time ordering, I later became a frequent customer. Definitely, a good place for Pho in Seattle!“

“We have come here for many years. It been awhile since we came back. We like their new menu looks like it been recently updated. We ordered our usual of: -Vietnamese Sweet & Sour Catfish Soup -Catfish in Clay Pot/Stew -Rice Today we also tried: -Crispy Oysters -Salted Fish Fried Rice -Three Color Dessert -Thai Dessert It wasn't too busy today, we got a table right away for a family of our. The servers were nice and friendly. Our desserts were bought out first, and soon after the main dishes. Our usual dishes is the tasty as usual. Our favorite as a family is the fried oysters. Our young kids liked it best with the sweet sauce (not spicy). The sizing of the oysters are large and it tasted excellent. Overall, it was a wonderful dining night with the whole family. We will be back as usual! We highly recommend this place! They got some of the dishes we love that keeps us coming back for more!“

“I don't claim to be a banh mi connoisseur, but this was the best banh mi I have ever had. Totally not expected from a little stall in a grocery food court.
I've also had their shrimp fresh rolls and fried fish balls before as well which were also tasty. I'll have to try the pho next.“

“stumbled upon this place and it’s honestly a hidden gem. the broth is super clean but still has that deep beefy flavor without being too salty. i really like that there is no msg and they have gluten free options too, so it feels a lot healthier than other spots.
the beef was tender and they didn't skimp on the portions at all. noodles had a good chew and the herb plate they brought out was fresh and actually green, not wilted.
the owner is a gorgeous woman and the service is really good too. she makes you feel welcome and everything comes out fast. prices are totally fair for the bowl size. definitely a solid go-to spot if you're craving some comfort food“

“OBSESSED with the fish sauce wings here. Whenever we bring them to a party, people ask where they’re from cuz they’re so good! Perfectly fried, with the satisfying crunch of a crispy wing coated in a sweet sticky garlic sauce. Call ahead to place your order (same day seems to be ok). Also the shop keeper is super friendly and full of jokes.“

“My office ordered here for a big to-go order on a cozy, rainy day, and they were so accommodating! An order for 7 people was ready in 20 minutes and packaged securely. We ordered Pho Tai and Pho Nam, grilled pork Bahn mi, a bunch of egg rolls, and the sweet and sour pho, which was amazing if you like to explore flavors, dont shy away from it! All of our food was great, there were no complaints from anyone. 10/10 for these guys, a true hidden gem in Tukwila, WA! Fair warning: their chili oil is no joke. I would buy jars of this stuff. Edit: this place is under new management so this review is no longer accurate“

“My favorite pho spot so far. I love that there are vegetables in the soup base in addition to the veggies you can add on your own. Staff is friendly. I would try the steak pho either Korean noodles or glass noodles, both are good. I love extra bean sprouts, jalapeños,and spicy chilli sauce! Expect to pay $15-20 per person“

“I loved this small place on Beacon Hill. I was visiting from Detroit and saw it as I walked from the train to where I was staying. I went in an hour before they opened without realizing it, and the friendly owner invited me to come back at lunchtime. I'm glad I did. The owner greeted me again warmly. I had veggie pho with tofu and a Vietnamese coffee, both absolutely delicious. The servers were friendly as well. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Not much atmosphere, but very friendly, satisfying food, and reasonable price. If I'm in the area again, I will definitely go back.“

“First visit here and I ordered regular spring rolls, wonton soup and a coke. No complaints, price is fair. As far as service goes, hospitality was there and I found them to be professional, courteous and friendly. The turn around was quick from walking in to completion of my order. The flavor of the foods are unique and i typically get similar dishes at comparable establishments to establish a base line of good, not good. This place is not only good, its flavor is unique to this establishment. Overall I was pleased with everything and look forward to a return visit to try the pad thai!“

“The restaurant provided a very positive experience especially for my friend with whom I dine it here. She was having a hard time and probably hadn't any food in 2 days. Also it was last time I was eating with her so we really wanted something wholesome and homely at late hours of cold night.
I took a veg pho and I really cherished it. The Spring rolls were also great. I was great to see the food left a smile on my friend's face.
Loved the service and ambience. Highly recommend.“

“We were surprised on how charming it was once inside (for it being next to Fred Meyer). Well decorated, clean, and good service. The Bum Mam soup was filling and had a wonderful broth. My husband had the clay-pot chicken dish and we loved how it tasted like roasted duck with how they prepared it. They had a good selection of Vietnamese dishes I had never tried before so we can't wait to come back and try some more. The waitstaff were friendly and were happy to answer any questions.
We always try not to grocery shop on an empty stomach and this fit the bill before heading into Fred Meyer.“

“Had an amazing experience at Renton Bistro! I came specifically to try their Vietnamese food and ordered the grilled pork chop with broken rice (cơm tấm đặc biệt), and it did not disappoint.
The pork chop was perfectly grilled—juicy, flavorful, and slightly smoky with that authentic Vietnamese taste. The broken rice was soft and paired so well with the pickled veggies, fresh garnishes, and fish sauce. Every bite felt balanced and comforting, just like a true Vietnamese home-style meal.
Service was friendly and attentive, and the overall vibe was clean and welcoming. If you’re craving authentic Vietnamese cuisine, Renton Bistro is definitely worth a visit. I’ll absolutely be back to try more dishes!“

“I live close to here and come here often. Everything I’ve ever had has been really good to great. The calamari is fantastic. Dont expect them to wait on you hand and foot. They give you the menu take you oder after a few minutes and will fill your water if they see its low. They are not gonna ask you if everything is good every 5 minutes. Great place to come eat in a very chill environment“

“What a wonderful spot and a perfect stop after visiting Kubota Garden. The dining room was clean and spacious, and the service prompt and friendly. The bun bo hue was delicious and a welcome change from the salt bomb broths I’ve become accustomed to from Vietnamese noodle soups in Seattle. The flavors were nuanced and not too heavy or salty. I especially enjoyed the tender pork knuckle and the (homemade?) small meatballs flecked with what tasted and appeared to be makrut lime leaves. An easy place for kids - my 5 year old slurped up his plain pho.“

“Yummy but overpriced. Asked for a 12oz plain black iced coffee and was given a coffee with loads of room and so much foam. Not even like a cold foam just lots of bubbles. The foam was literally like an 1” which was annoying since I asked for only black and no room and it $5. I’ve had iced Vietnamese coffee before and never had so much foam in it.
$5 for a 12oz coffee and to not be given 12oz was a bummer“

“Vietnam House is one of those places that feels like a weekend family gathering — no frills, just the comfort of well-executed classics. Their specialty is Cơm Tấm (broken rice), and the menu gives you plenty of ways to experience it.
The go-to order is the Cơm Tấm Sườn Nướng ($11.99) — tender grilled pork chop over fluffy broken rice, simple and satisfying. For something richer, the Cơm Tấm Sườn Bì Chả ($13.25) adds shredded pork and steamed egg for a full trio of textures. If you’re hungry, the Cơm Tấm Đặc Biệt ($14.99) stacks pork chop, shrimp cake, egg, and meatloaf — a full Vietnamese sampler on one plate.
What makes this spot stand out is the portion size and value. Plates run $12–15, come loaded with rice, pickles, and sides, and leave you more than full.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Come here for hearty broken rice combos when you’re craving comfort food without any pretense. It’s not fancy, but it’s exactly what you want from a neighborhood Vietnamese joint.“
