“5 stars on everything! This is the best vietnamese food i have had around renton! The spring rolls were crunchy and divine, also the eggrolls, holy moly, everything was delicious. The service was great as well, very friendly. Very impressed.“
“This is the best Vietnamese Resturant in Renton. They are a togo only. There is no dine in option. Togo orders are generally ready within 10 to 20 mins. The food is very fresh and portions are generous. My favorite restaurant that is nearby. Only Fridays and Saturdays they offer stir fry noodles and fried rices.my favorites are:-thai tea-banh cuon-egg rolls-wonton noodle-stir fry noodles-fried rice“
“Nestled in the heart of Renton, Anchovies and Salt boasts a stunning location with breathtaking views that could easily steal the spotlight. Situated against a picturesque backdrop, this restaurant offers a promising setting for a memorable dining experience. However, while the grandeur of the location sets high expectations, the food quality falls slightly short. The ambiance at Anchovies and Salt is undeniably charming, with a sophisticated yet relaxed atmosphere. The interior décor complements the natural beauty outside, creating an inviting space for patrons to unwind and enjoy their meal. The service provided by the staff is impeccable, with attentive and friendly waitstaff ensuring that every need is met promptly.Despite the positive aspects, the food quality doesn't quite measure up to the restaurant's grandeur. While the menu boasts an array of enticing options, the execution falls short of expectations. Dishes lack the finesse and flavor one would anticipate, leaving room for improvement in terms of taste and presentation.Another aspect that may disappoint diners is the portion sizes relative to the price. The servings are notably small for the cost, leaving some guests feeling unsatisfied. While quality often justifies price, in this case, the disparity between portion size and price may leave patrons wanting more value for their money.Furthermore, parking can pose a challenge for those visiting Anchovies and Salt. Finding a spot nearby can be somewhat difficult, especially without opting for paid parking. This inconvenience may deter some potential customers, particularly those unwilling to navigate the search for parking. On a positive note, the ordering system is user-friendly, making the dining experience hassle-free. Guests can easily navigate the menu and place their orders without any confusion, streamlining the process and ensuring efficiency. In conclusion, Anchovies and Salt offers a satisfying dining experience with its beautiful location, good ambiance, and attentive service. However, there is room for improvement, particularly in the realms of food quality, portion sizes, and parking accessibility. Despite these shortcomings, the overall experience remains enjoyable, making it a worthwhile destination for those seeking a pleasant meal with a view.“
“Our visit was back in December during the cold snowy winter. It was late at night and we were hungry and craving for something to warm us with, Pho sounded like something that would always hit the spot. And this was one of the few places that were open. We were immediately greeted with a smile as we walked to a table and the server brought the menu to us.The service was fast and she checked on us a few times to make sure we were doing okay. I got the Grilled Chicken with Grilled Shrimp Skewer Vermicelli Noodle Bowl. The chicken was well-cooked and the shrimps were perfectly grilled. The seasoning was on the mild side, I could have used more flavors in my bowl. So while it was good, I wish I had stuck with regular pho. He got the Pho Tai Nam (eye rounded steak and well-done flank steak) and he enjoyed every bite of it. I tasted the broth and it was definitely amazing. It would have been a perfect bowl for the cold weather to warm you up good.“
“I think I get something different almost every time I go here, and they haven't missed yet. I especially like the clay pots and the "duck". Even now that we've moved north to Seattle, we still brave the traffic and make the trip down to Renton for Blossom. It's also a lovely space, quiet and comfortable. Good spot for date night. They do takeout too.“
“We ordered the mango salad which was recommended by the server as a house specialty. I thought it was just ok, nothing special. The mango juliennes were too thick mixed with fried pieces of tofu in their house sauce. We also shared the combo platter which was enough for 2. Overall, all the items we ordered were good. Lunch for 3 was about $60. Service was great.“
“Amazing Vietnamese food. Pho, bun bo hue, Hainamese chicken rice and spring rolls are the must try. The owners are very nice and friendly. Taste of food is very authentic, huge portion, and reasonable priced! I’ve been here so many times and there is never a miss!“
“New Fav! I was pleasantly surprised with this restaurant. The chicken wings were mouth watering, crunchy outside and juicy inside, super yummy. I also had the brisket pho (my go to) and it was DELICIOUS, broth was perfect and meat was great quality. The place is nice and clean. The staff is very kind and accommodating. I was there pretty late after work, starving. They didnt even mind me staying after closing to finish. Ive now put this place on my top 5 pho spots. You should too.Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly“
“Plenty of seating area. Waiter is quick to seat and take order. I order the Special Kim Phuong Rice Dish with a soup. It came with grilled pork but I switched it out for grilled short ribs, skewered shrimp, shrimp patty, rice, eggs, cucumber and a slice of tomato. The soup usually is with a pho broth but I can taste a very strong taste of cinnamon. That kinda threw me off because of how strong it is.“
“The service is so nice and friendly. The renovations have been a good upgrade. The food is ok bc it tends to adjust the flavors to suit the community. The BBH should be fishy and spicy.. it was a little bland compared to what I'm used to. Everyone else loved their food. It's a convenient and good location. We'll be back.“
“Highly suggested from a lot of locals from seattle. Like any other bad, except with Vietnamese food. I have to admit I didn't have much expectations but the wings! I have to say the wings, hands down, the best I have tasted. The fish sauce wing's specifically. I'm from out of town so this was so unexpected. To have go to a viet bar and get amazing wings. It was crispy and tasteful. Service was great. Exactly how i was expect of an Asian establishment, straight forward and quick. Definitely coming back. 10/10.“
“Beef pho was great! Meat is generous compared to other pho restaurants. The spring roll was also good. Peanut sauce is well made here. The staff is super friendly and polite. It seems like a mom and pop shop.Would def recommend.Parking: Shared open parking lot“
“This place is always great! Always multiple games and a TON of action.Danielle is the best server there, she is fast, efficient and always a pleasure! ? The dealers are great too!Floor staff is attentive, polite and always happy to oblige a seat move or table change on the double.I've been playing poker for most of my life and wish I could've found fortune poker sooner. I play here as often as possible. Thank you Fortune Poker!“
“Been coming here for 2 years, once a week. Consistently delicious. Service is quick. Staff is helpful and friendly. People need to stop complaining about minor things in reviews. If you need something, this place will kindly make sure it happens. Favorites are the pho and fresh rolls. Love this spot!Dietary restrictions: options for gluten free/vegetarian folks“
“Their pho is good quality for a good price! Our family enjoyed their takeout pho and vermicelli noodles. The avocado & mango smoothie was good, but the tapioca pearls were a bit dissapointing (hard to chew & not sweetened).Overall, would recommend to others!“
“Top shelf Vietnamese food here. Generous servings, and very tasty. A step above your usual Vietnamese Phō place, and priced accordingly.I did find myself rather thirsty in the hours that followed, so the food might be moderately salty. Still, it was of the highest quality. Nice, classy place to take a date, I would say. Most dishes were in the $18 range, so reckon on about $60 for a table for two if you're not buying drinks, only water. Add a starter or two, taxes and tips, and you're close to $100.Parking: Tons of parking at the Landing.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy in and out in a wheelchair.“
“Broth was very delicious. Had depth of flavor. Bean sprouts and Thai basil were fresh. Lots of meat. Small portion of noodles but it filled me up. I ordered extra meatballs and paid $5 for 4 pieces. A whole pack of meatballs costs $6 at the Asian Market. No chili oil at this location, which was a bummer because I love chili oil.The chicken wings were the party sized ones and it came with sweet chili sauce to dip.Excellent was the health department rating!Overall, I enjoyed this place and would recommend. They also have a bunch of teas and drinks.Wheelchair accessibility: Not really wheelchair accessible.“
“The oxtail pho at this restaurant was a true masterpiece. The rich and aromatic broth was simmered to perfection, infusing the tender oxtail meat with incredible flavor. The noodles were cooked just right, and the fresh herbs and toppings added a burst of freshness. It was a bowl of pho that warmed both the body and soul.“
“The current (relatively new) owners of this restaurant are absolutely fantastic. They are very accommodating and do their upmost to withhold the expectations of their customers. Their pho and seafood fried rice is my go to ? Even when flooded with orders in a restaurant so small and family like they somehow are able to pump out orders are a decent rate always smiling and doing the best possible with what they have. They are absolutely incredible and deserve a much bigger following. Thank you fortune noodle!“
“My family lives in Bellevue, but we often come here for dinner. This is the best pho restaurant I've been to. The broth is not salty and has a deep flavor, and I barely noticed any msg taste. I also like that the vegetables are displayed on the bar so you can eat as much as you want.My kids especially love fried rice and honey garlic chicken. The cabbage salad that comes with fried rice is really refreshing and delicious. Our family is also satisfied with the clean and sophisticated interior of this place. The owners are friendly and take pride in their food.“
