“I hate to take off a star from this review because the staff is really sweet and accommodating. However, I didn't think the food was the best I've ever had, but it was certainly tasty enough. The staff here are very nice and generous. My favorite dishes are their kafta and gyro plates.”

“The sushi was fresh, tasty, and made of high quality cuts. They had several cuts of tuna and salmon I had never had before. They also had genuine wasabi available.

While the atmosphere wouldn't be great for a romantic evening, it works for a casual evening or lunch.”

“I went to the Gold Schnitzel for lunch with some business associates. The staff was attentive and friendly but not overbearing. We had a number of the appetizers and a main each. Everything was freshly made and delicious. The portion size of the sandwich was very generous. I highly recommend this establishment.

“I was expecting this place to be so much better. I’m not saying it’s bad but my biggest complaint is that the pies were not even close to being hot enough. I knew these were not going to be made from start to finish at order but they were barely warm. If that aspect changed I’d probably go back but until I hear from someone else I need my food HOT!”

“We began frequenting The Brick once it was acquired by the new managers in the last few years! It is a TRUE Renton gem that deserves all its glory! The fusion of flavors between Western cuisine meets Asian cuisine is a true win for me! Everything is wonderfully executed when it comes to flavor and comfort. Not only does The Brick bring out enormous flavors in its cuisine but also in its array of drink selections as well. Whoever came up with the lineup of drinks should be on Master Chef of bartending or something! Lolll I often steered from cocktails because had this notion that it was “too sweet.” But it’s the perfect balance that isn’t overpowered by the taste of alcohol or sweetness! WELL DONE!”

“Great spot for Vietnamese food. The Bun Bo Hue was so good! The broth was excellent. The other bun dish was so tasty and delicious. We got the bun beo after we got our entrees so I cannot say I enjoyed it, although it was good. It probably would have been better had we received it before our entrees. I was already full by the time it arrived. So maybe if you want bun beo, order it first thing. The fried tofu we got was bland. I wouldn’t order it again. I would definitely be back for the other dishes that were available and to try other options in the menu.”

“Really good food, although a bit pricey. Great place if you're looking for high quality Italian cuisine. My date and I had the Ravioli Aurora, which we both really enjoyed, and even stayed for dessert. We didn't leave right away and they never pressured us to leave, they just kept refilling our waters even when we had already paid. Very professional and friendly staff

“In 07 to 09 they had the best General Tao chicken that I'm aware of with all of the stuff it is supposed to be made with. Sometimes it was crisp and sometimes it was moist. It was good in either texture to me. I lived next door to it at the time.”

“The white coffee here is sooo good! I used to go up to There Ya Go Espresso, which I still love but it’s too far for me to drive to. My go to drink at TYGE was a white shark. I have hunted all over the Renton area for another coffee shack that serves the same quality of a white chocolate, white coffee drink! And had no luck! I stumbled across gourmet latte and decided to give it a try! My first time there the barista was super kind and made an amazing white chocolate mocha with white coffee and oat milk!! It was beyond my expectations and even better than what I was having before! She even recommended her favorite food item, pepperoni pizza bagel with 2 packs of cream cheese. Let me tell you, it was pretty good!! It was hot and tasty and the cream cheese was a great recommendation to put on top, I would’ve never thought to do it! Now it is my go to coffee place! I’d rather give Gourmet latte my money for really great coffee, food, and staff, 10x over going to a chain like Starbucks where the espresso always tastes a bit burnt, it’s super expensive to make substitutions, and they don’t even serve white coffee! I also see the barista with the green streaked hair all the time, super friendly and makes my drink perfect every time as well! My last but not least compliment, is for consistency! I ask for the same drink each time, and every time it’s handed to me, it is just as delicious, no matter the barista!”

I always get good service so I overlooked it. Just couple days ago they didn't put the sauce I requested. Both incidents were after the expansion of the location. So I wonder if this is because they cannot handle the amount of traffic, or they hired new associates who need more training. I hope they improve on this cos I love their food and this location is conveniently on my way home.”

“You would think all McDonald's are about the same, but you may be surprised. Some are actually better than others. This one, in my opinion, was exceptional. Was a little surprised that the person at window 1 taking the money was the same person at window 2 handing out the food, not sure if that was just an odd coincidence or if he's just that good, but there was no wait for the food, it was all hot and fresh and portioned properly, and the crew worked very well together. From what we could tell there were maybe 4 people on shift and that drive thru line was not short but still moved at a steady pace with no pull forwards or delays- and that's WITH the fact we ordered chicken nuggets which are almost always a pull forward. I found this all exceptional and noteworthy. Thanks guys :)”

Their vietnamese coffee is delicious and not too heavy and while I haven’t gotten to try their other drinks they look really refreshing (perfect for the current heat wave!)

For my work from home folks, the wifi is connection is solid & stable enough for video conferencing, there are outlets and seating and a quaint and comfortable environment to sustain your arduous day!

Ambiance is chic & comforting, great change of pace from the more clinical/sterile aesthetic that a lot of other cafes opt for nowadays.

Parking: street parking in downtown renton & parking lot on the side of the cafe!

They have a lunch menu too with all different types of food.The Benedict Florentine was BOMB! All flavor cooked how I like it. My boyfriend had eggs bacon and hashbrowns. THE BACON THO! it was thick and long and they served I think 6 (haha). Overall it was good. Service and food on point.”

The only thing missing from the rolls was Thai Basil. Then our Main Entrees; Fried Tofu & Chicken Pad Thai and Panang Curry with Jasmine Rice. Everything was done to perfection and their condiments trey had tiny HOT green chilis for me to kick it up to my level. Not to forget? They do a great job too, on the Thai Tea! Yummy!!! “I used Christies Catering to cater a surprise birthday party for my wife. This was my first time using a catering service. I lucked out by choosing Christies. They walked me through a menu which included a cheese, vegetable, fruit and meat tray, shrimp cocktail, Caesar salad, rolls, cooked vegetables, garlic mashed potatoes and braised short ribs. She made everything we had agreed on and more. My wife and our guests raved about the food. I highly recommend Christies catering. Christie and Teanna are the nicest people to work with. I will use them again! Thank you for a great meal and event.”

We were down in the area and happened across here by chance and we are so happy! The owners are fantastic and nice and so welcoming! We enjoyed the food so much, even our kid was happy.

I highly recommend the fish and chips, garlic cheese curds, and Philly cheese steak. Plus there are many many more options. You won’t leave hungry.

The owner also let us know they expanding their drink options and we samples the grape fruit-ade, it was great. Plus they have beer on tap.”
