“My husband and I come here often and we've never had a bad experience. There's never been more than a ten minute wait for a table and the food always comes out fast! When ordering you mark a menu card and they bring out the different shareable dishes as they're ready and staff consistently clears away empty dishes and checks on your table. We always order a bit too much and end up overstuffed at the end of our meal, so I definitely recommend coming hungry!“

FOOD: to start i ordered a taro boba tea and my boyfriend ordered a wintermelon tea with rainbow jelly. both drinks were really good, and the rainbow jelly was super tasty. the taro boba always slaps. i ordered a chicken pho with mushrooms and tofu; the broth was good and super flavorful. my partner got tonkotsu ramen, he said the broth was very savory, the pork was fatty and delicious, and the noodles were perfectly cooked. he wanted it a little spicier so he added chili oil to the broth which he said made it amazing! “I love this hidden gem and will def be back! If you're looking for a relaxed and welcoming neighborhood spot with great food, this is it. The sushi was excellent. I got a Cali roll and something with salmon and cream cheese that was tempura fried (I forget the name), chefs kiss!! The owner and sushi chef were so nice and very personable, it made it feel really welcoming. They serve a wide variety of drinks (I saw margarita glasses) and are bringing karaoke back soon.“

High quality rolls - ordered spider, unagi, and spicy hamachi, all very good and well rolled. Would order all 3 again. “The food is good - I ordered takeout and picked it up on my way to the train station. Cute packaging….but there are no eating utensils, napkins or even sauce for my dumplings!!! I understand not including especially utensils and napkins - that turns into garbage. But at least ask if one needs it when you hand over the order! And for sure include the sauce with the dumplings. Who ever heard of such a thing??“

We were short on time because we had a couple of things planned after and it was my last day in Seattle. Shawn was absolutely wonderful. All dishes are custom made and due to my dietary restrictions, I always have limited options. But even through the limited options, this was the best Thai food I have had in a while. Everything was so perfectly blended and even though all the dishes on the menu are made to order, they were all cooked to perfection!Vegetarian options: Great vegetarian/vegan options. I am allergic to eggs unless mixed in cakes. I normally avoid Thai food because most places still have an after taste of egg and sometimes it still affects me with my allergy. But at Bahn Thai my experience was very different. There was no after taste of eggs and the dish did not even smell like eggs. It was such a great experience and I would definitely go back!“

And don't be late or you will lose it.So many delicious options. The DTF Old Fashioned is very special with an oolong tea syrup. Wood ear mushrooms in vinegar dressing, Shanghai rice cakes, and Xaio Long Bao soup dumplings are standouts. Hot and sour soup is also delicious. Not shown is the fresh orange green iced tea with boba: very refreshing and not too sweet, the flavor of the jasmine green tea shines through highlighted by the orange juice. “Let me write this review real quick. I missed breakfast, and I was **** near starving by lunch. I searched for some foods spots, and this place showed up. I looked at the menu, and I couldn't decide between the Cod burger or a Pho bowl. I decided to go in and ask about the choices. Pleasant service to say the least. I ended up going with the Cod burger. Let's just say I'll be back here at least once a month for a Cod burger, guaranteed. Good portion size too. I was satisfied.“

While the portions were plentiful and some of the most generous I’ve seen, the pad see ew was disappointing. It lacked sauce and flavor and was more soft than fried. But it may be because I was playing it safe and got 4 out of 15 stars (I had no idea what the 15-star system was ordering online) so next time I will try bumping up the spice. “Someone at work sent me a photo of their meal and I knew I had to try this place myself. I love their chicken katsu. Most places aren’t breaded well or get soggy. I typically don’t order it for that reason. They understand that katsu is supposed to be crunchy and they make sure it stays crunchy until you can sit down and eat it. I’m not a huge fan of katsu sauce but pairing it with their garlic sauce is so good. I have yet to try their spicy chicken, but I can’t eat spicy food like I used to. Rice portion is a little less than other places. They are super friendly and I’ve recommended this place to everyone at work.“

The ordering process was smooth, and the food arrived promptly, which was impressive.However, when I unpacked the meal, I noticed that the portions were quite small considering the price - $20 per item seemed steep for the amount provided. Both dishes came with just one small container of white rice, which was not quite sufficient for two complete meals.Taste-wise, the dishes were good. The orange chicken had a perfect balance of sweetness and zest, while the sweet and sour chicken boasted a tangy sauce that coated the tender pieces of chicken nicely. “Absolutely impressed by the quality of food. Dining companion opted for crab rangoon as appetizer, and while I regularly dislike crab rangoon. . .WOW! Hands down the BEST crab rangoon I have _ever_ had. Four different sushi rolls ordered, and each stood out from the other as well as each was delectable. Their curry is silky smooth and begged to have us finish it all (er, couldn't: I'd ordered enough food to feed four, not two! :D ). Additional menu items showed an understanding of Thai dishes using different combinations, while still maintaining Thai flavor texture-profiles. Drunken Udon, for instance, instead of pad see yew, is one menu item that demonstrates this. Prices are entirely within the norm for the area and within the norm for Thai and Japanese restaurants within the region. Consider the three-star reviews of this place to be inconsiderate and ignorant. “This is our go to Thai restaurant. We're very lucky to live so close. We love to dine in or take out. They haven't had an actual bar in a long time, I think something mentions their liquor license. Somehow we've been many times when it's not busy, which shocks me since we love their food. The staff is friendly and restaurant is clean. We have kids so don't order spicy items, our go to our chicken pad Thai, Panag curry and all the apps!“
