“My wife and I just had lunch at this restaurant and were both very pleased. We were greeted immediately by a young man who was always smiling and whistling. We both got some egg noodle soups; I got combination and my wife got seafood. They were both delicious and very filling. I looked at other people's dishes and they looked good too! For the two of us, the bill was ~$30, which is reasonable for the amount of food we got. If you're considering, don't be intimidated by the authenticity - walk in and enjoy something!“
“I love this hidden gem and will def be back! If you're looking for a relaxed and welcoming neighborhood spot with great food, this is it. The sushi was excellent. I got a Cali roll and something with salmon and cream cheese that was tempura fried (I forget the name), chefs kiss!! The owner and sushi chef were so nice and very personable, it made it feel really welcoming. They serve a wide variety of drinks (I saw margarita glasses) and are bringing karaoke back soon.“
“This is one of thee best places I think I've ever eaten at!!! I had leftovers for about 3 days!! I think I enjoy being part of my food making process. Picking my own veggies and how much I want on my plate. Choosing my own sauces and how much I want. Choosing my own best level. Smh I was very excited to see all my pickings go on the flat grill to be cooked. I was so excited I couldn't finish the whole plate!! I'll come here 20 times over any restaurant!! Clean dining area, clean bathrooms, friendly enough staff. Very affordable prices! I would suggest the large bowl if you want to take it home otherwise choose something smaller.“
“MY FAVORITE RESTAURANT! Business is always gooooood , short wait 20 mins . Longer wait 1 hour ? Because the food is good all the DTF location in Seattle are packed! There is bars with liquor quicker to get inFor those who never try I recommend order dumplings that’s what they famous for , service is very attentive and serve food fast !! My favorite Taiwanese restaurant! Even in Taiwan it’s still popular ????“
“I’m a regular at this place- always friendly folks, great food, and hearty portions. Like everything else- prices have doubled in the last couple of years but I’d rather spend $14 on chicken teriyaki with rice and salad or chicken yakisoba- enough for dinner and lunch the next day than the same amount for a burger and fries!“
“The service is amazing, the hostess was so nice and welcoming. We ordered pad thai, pad see ew, and fresh spring rolls. While the portions were plentiful and some of the most generous I’ve seen, the pad see ew was disappointing. It lacked sauce and flavor and was more soft than fried. But it may be because I was playing it safe and got 4 out of 15 stars (I had no idea what the 15-star system was ordering online) so next time I will try bumping up the spice. However the spring rolls were amazing!“
“Amazing flavor hands down. If you haven’t tried the PHO broth is phenomenal and the flavor of al the noodles, thai basil, bean sprouts, jalepeno slices and meat is to die for. Bank Mi sandwiches are so fresh and ever bite is sooooo goood. The Rice noodle bowls have so much flavor and fresh ingredients and delicious meat and egg rolls makes for the perfect bite every time you have it. Thai tea is always fresh and definitely pairs well with every meal.“
“Always open like their hours say and ALWAYS high quality teriyaki. It is My favorite Teriyaki place in south center/ Seattle area. When I first moved here many teriyaki places had poor quality consistently across the board or closed really early. Thanks you guys ?“
“This is a small restaurant affixed to the Fred Meyer building. I visited J's during the early afternoon and was pleased to see that there were a handful of lunch specials.I ordered General Tso's and teriyaki chicken combo with white rice. The portion size was generous and the food was amazingly fresh and delicious. The Tso's was delightfully crunchy and actually spicy, while the teriyaki was perfectly seared. The hostess was very friendly and kind, and the overall environment was clean. I absolutely plan to return here soon.“
“This is our go to Thai restaurant. We're very lucky to live so close. We love to dine in or take out. They haven't had an actual bar in a long time, I think something mentions their liquor license. Somehow we've been many times when it's not busy, which shocks me since we love their food. The staff is friendly and restaurant is clean. We have kids so don't order spicy items, our go to our chicken pad Thai, Panag curry and all the apps!“
“We always get takeout and folks working are very nice and order is accurate. Spicy chicken and dark meat chicken teriyaki are my favorites. I get a full order or each which makes four meals for me, great value. Meat is cooked to perfection and we have been getting takeout for years. You need to try this place!!“
“My husband and I come here often and we've never had a bad experience. There's never been more than a ten minute wait for a table and the food always comes out fast! When ordering you mark a menu card and they bring out the different shareable dishes as they're ready and staff consistently clears away empty dishes and checks on your table. We always order a bit too much and end up overstuffed at the end of our meal, so I definitely recommend coming hungry!“
“Arashi is my go to ramen spot so far in WA. I have tried quite a few places here and I've had ramen in Japan and Hawaii. I would say Arashi is the most on par with the better of ramens I've had. It's my go to spot whether alone or with people for a cold day. The Ballard location is hard to find parking and quite small so I like this location in terms of parking and size. The main con is definitely how pricey it is for noodles. It's at-least around $20 a person but that garlic broth is just the best so far.“
“I got takeout - Cantonese chow mein and it was delicious! Staff was friendly and service quick.Vegetarian options: I just ordered my noodles with extra veggies cuz I didn’t feel like eating meat and they were able to accommodate, no problem.“
“Been coming here exclusively for over 8 years. The portions are large-keep coming and they keep getting bigger?! The atmosphere is nostalgic and feels like a home... please don't change it!!! The owners are such sweethearts. Show them some love and they'll show you some traditional, home cooked teriyaki ??Parking: This lot is tricky... If I can't find parking the first loop, I always do the second or third .. no big deal!“
“The new owners have done an AMAZING job with the menu and food!! Lately it seems sushi has been small and underwhelming. I'm seriously impressed with the larger portions and quality at this hidden gem! Not only do they have teriyaki and sushi they also have Indian food! Although it was my first experience with such, I can't wait to go back! It was delicious!! There really is something for EVERYONE! Bonus the owners are super nice!“
“My favorite Thai restaurant in the area. The staff is always very helpful. And the food is good. They always have nice calm piano music playing in the background. I dislike that the chairs move around when people sit in them on the other side. Other than that everything's great.“
“My Family and I stopped here on the way home from a day trip (we live thirty miles away) We would make the trip to come out here again just to eat here!! We loved the food! Friendly staff, amazing prices and massive portions!! If I could rate this Ten Stars I would!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND“
“The friendly service is very much appreciated. We had the pork bahn mi and vietnamese ham and Chinese bologna bahn mi. Both were tasty. We also shared a bowl of beef brisket phò. Disclaimer: My boyfriend makes some of the best phò I've ever had. Soooo, I'm kind of phó picky. The broth in this phò was very light. Missing the layers of flavor that I expetoence in my boyfriends phò. What looked like thai basil (forgive my naivete) had a peppery aroma that threw off the taste of the broth.“
“Worth the drive. Menu selection is not as extensive as others but it's peppered with enough favorites at reasonable prices. I ordered the dinuguan with rice and tokwa baboy (tofu & pork) . Both had the right touch of sour especially the tokwa. Definitely better than Maxim.“
“This place is near the airport and the street is very chaotic and it’s shockingly pleasant when you come into this restaurant. They have really really good sound proofing and when you walk in the ambiance is peacefully wonderful. They have pleasant music playing at a low volume. A water fall. Nice warm lighting but sun shaded windows so you can see outside just fine but the sun dosn’t beat down on you. The colors and the art and the tables and seats are all very zen. It’s simply peaceful in here. The staff was friendly and the food was great. Definitely come check this place out if you’re in the area.“
“This is our go-to for teriyaki. Spring rolls were awesome, I should have ordered more because the kids practically inhaled them. I got tofu teriyaki and it was great. My family loves the chicken teriyaki. They are so accommodating and a joy to order food from. Highly recommend.“
“Second time ordering from this place and it was delicious! Somehow even better the second time. Portions are fantastic and I made more than 1 meal out of my dish, people are friendly, place is cute and clean, and bonus that it's close to home! Adding this to one of my restaurant staples!“
“The food is tasty, prices are affordable and you get a large amount of food. The staff are friendly, helpful and service is fast. The restaurant is always clean and so are thier bathrooms. This will be my new place for teriyaki and sushi and best of all they are open extra late, till 12 am for pick up and delivery.“
“I always pass this place on my way to work but since that part of Kent is zombie land I avoid going to any business there. I am glad I took the chance and didn't let the tweeker in the parking lot deter me. The service was fast, place clean, and food delicious.“
