I had the lemon cheesecake and if you like lemon you won’t be disappointed. The seasonal pumpkin cheesecake gave the Cheesecake Factory a run for the money!!“

“I’m from Dallas, TX and have had a hard time finding true southern BBQ in this entire state! Except Pete’s! Now, I’ve had great smoked brisket and other great smoked culinary experiences, but this one is the most Southern. What I mean is that the coleslaw is excellent with a medium shred, not too large or chopped too small, and an even amount of dressing. The sweet cornbread muffins with honey-butter straight from cast-iron are amazing. The pickle slices are even a culinary delight, sitting next to raw onions and a plethora of BBQ sauces to choose from. Oh, and free ice-cream cones if you even have room left to fill (we did not, lol). I could go on about the sweet tea, baked beans, slow-smoked ribs, shredded smoked pork, sausage, chicken, and desserts but…Just bring your appetite and try it for y’all’s selves! ;)“

“I am a huge pho connoisseur and been to many spots around the great Seattle area (mostly south in federal way, Kent, Renton) and this is my new favorite spot. Service is always great, clean and modern interior, and the pho is 🔥🔥. Price is fair compared to other spots, and if you come with friends and family they have a variety of other options like phad thai and teriyaki. Highly recommend if you are in the kent-east hill area!!

To those bigger eaters like me (I go all out on pho) the large bowl is definitely a Large bowl with ample portions of everything: more noodles, meat, and soup. And again the service is always amazing and kitchen staff are always on point with timing and quality.“

“Truly excellent teriyaki.

Had friends in town who can’t eat gluten, and they wanted whatever I considered Seattles signature dish so I had to find them teriyaki. Called Himitsu and they kindly explained my options (all the teriyaki is gluten free, the fried rice CAN be if you specifically order it gluten free). When I picked up the food they were kind and friendly with a big smile.

The food itself was fantastic. Fried rice was excellent, and the teriyaki is of the less saucy variety. While the chicken didn’t have a lot of sauce it was well marinated and seasoned so it was very juicy and flavorful. Our favorite was the beef. It was thin, tender, and no unpleasant gristle to be found.

Our friends loved it and we now have an option we’d happily recommend to anyone, whether they can have gluten or not!“

“Awesome selection of burgers, plus sandwiches, chicken fingers, chili dogs, fish & chips...all the good stuff! (A couple of salads if you want one.) Easy to substitute sweet potato fries or curly fries for the regular (but the regular fries are great, too). And great shakes, all the yummiest flavors. The burger had the perfect bun - pillowy but not dry, doesn't fall apart while you're eating. And they have booths (love us a booth). We would definitely go here again for our burger and shake fix!“

“I came here on a Saturday evening to have dinner with my husband and I was surprised to see it empty based on reviews. We ordered a variety and had prompt service from the nicest woman. She was very attentive and even gave us a free appetizer. The food was some of the best Chinese food I've had. The location looks a bit worn down but the interior is very clean and put together. “Update: I am sad to say that because of the huge changes made to the menu by the new owner, I have to take a star away from my rating. The food has become under seasoned and sometimes the execution is poor. The quality is now inconsistent but broadly underwhelming, with old signature dishes having been removed or turned into something unrecognizable. It is nowhere near where it was three years ago when the founder ran the restaurant. I hope that they reconsider a lot of these changes so I can give the star back.

Not just the best Chinese food in the Pierce/King county area, but the best food. My wife is a Chinese expat and this is pure comfort food for her. Their food is authentic Chinese, the way I remember it from my time there in Henan, and on top of that, it's relatively cheap.

You know it's real Chinese when it's fresh, delicious, healthy, and reasonably priced. We drive all the way from Tacoma to come here every time, at least twice a month. It's worth the trip not just because the food is so good, but also because the location is great -- we can do our shopping at Ranch 99 for cool Asian import groceries and other comforts from back home.

On top of all this, the service is warm, sincere, and efficient. My favorite place to eat, period.“

“I tried Musashi for the first time and it was alright! I got a chirashi bowl which ran to $20 after taxes. It was a pretty small bowl but it was decent. It wasn’t the best chirashi bowl I’ve ever had nor would I come back here for it. It was nice to try a new restaurant but it wasn’t anything too crazy or extraordinary. There are about only 4 tables inside so it’s definitely not like a “dine-in” restaurant. The majority of their orders are to-go’s. It was a bit difficult to locate the restaurant as it’s clumped with the apartments.“

Each dish has lots of great flavor and time put into it and there’s plenty of options for you to choose from. I highly recommend trying any of the bowls of pho, it is always satisfying and is some of the best that I’ve ever had. It has lots of great deep flavor with lots of slices of meat and great noodles.
And the servers are so very kind and considerate, they do a great job of helping you. And this place has a great atmosphere and is a very comforting place to eat. I highly recommend that you come try it out!“
