Had friends in town who can’t eat gluten, and they wanted whatever I considered Seattles signature dish so I had to find them teriyaki. Called Himitsu and they kindly explained my options (all the teriyaki is gluten free, the fried rice CAN be if you specifically order it gluten free). When I picked up the food they were kind and friendly with a big smile.

The food itself was fantastic. Fried rice was excellent, and the teriyaki is of the less saucy variety. While the chicken didn’t have a lot of sauce it was well marinated and seasoned so it was very juicy and flavorful. Our favorite was the beef. It was thin, tender, and no unpleasant gristle to be found.

Our friends loved it and we now have an option we’d happily recommend to anyone, whether they can have gluten or not!“

“They couldn't get us in at the renton Applebee's. We waited a half hour. Then the told us it would be another hour. So called up the kent Applebee's and spoke to Adrian. She got us in right away. There were 13 of us. The food was great. The service was great. Adrian stopped by and checked on us. I really want to give her a huge shout out. She saved the day. Our server Shanyah was 10 out 10. Thank you to both of them.“

“This evening, I ordered to go a Chile Relleno which is delicious, sadly it seems they were too busy, and forgot to include the chips, which I love too. To let them know about it, I ask for someone who speaks Spanish, this person spoke with me for a little while, and after I complained about the missing chips in the order, all of a sudden she asked me if I wanted to speak with the manager, I was surprised of this offer, but still I said, it was OK. Then the manager began speaking in English. I am writing this opinion for two reasons, the first one: I love the chips and I always want them in my order. And the second one: is to bring to your attention, the lack of respect to the Spanish speaking people visiting your restaurant, many of them choose you, because you speak Spanish there. I do not understand why? the girl had me speak with an English spoken manager, ( it sounded weird to me, since I did not request it) I thought, it was maybe because they did not want to be bothered, and they know that a limited english proficient person will not continue her/his complaint due to the language barrier. Please do not lower the standard of service with our Latino Families, we are your clients, pay the same and many times tip you more for a good service, we deserve an excellent service experience too. “My friend suggested this place, and I finally had the chance to check it out. The spicy chicken teriyaki and chicken wings were absolutely amazing! Definitely the best in town. I would give it a solid 5 out of 5.You've got to try this spot if you're in the mood for some delicious Halal wings and Teriyaki.“
