“This evening, I ordered to go a Chile Relleno which is delicious, sadly it seems they were too busy, and forgot to include the chips, which I love too. To let them know about it, I ask for someone who speaks Spanish, this person spoke with me for a little while, and after I complained about the missing chips in the order, all of a sudden she asked me if I wanted to speak with the manager, I was surprised of this offer, but still I said, it was OK. Then the manager began speaking in English. I am writing this opinion for two reasons, the first one: I love the chips and I always want them in my order. And the second one: is to bring to your attention, the lack of respect to the Spanish speaking people visiting your restaurant, many of them choose you, because you speak Spanish there. I do not understand why? the girl had me speak with an English spoken manager, ( it sounded weird to me, since I did not request it) I thought, it was maybe because they did not want to be bothered, and they know that a limited english proficient person will not continue her/his complaint due to the language barrier. Please do not lower the standard of service with our Latino Families, we are your clients, pay the same and many times tip you more for a good service, we deserve an excellent service experience too. It was a random find to catch up with a vibrant crowd and enthusiasm accompanied by cocktails, on tap drinks and nachos! 🍻 They have a minimal Food menu: nachos with cheese and jalapenos, Hot dogs (2 options). But you can get your own food from other restaurants inside Lariat.
Booth seating, high stool bar seats or just lounge on the old charm seats.

“8-bit Arcade said they were wheelchair accessible and guess what?! THEY WERE. Not only could I get through the aisles, but the bathroom set up was an example in inclusion!! The door was easy to open and lock, the sink was easy to get under, the doorway was absolutely wide enough to get in and out of and there was enough room to maneuver for my wheelchair inside the bathroom!!!! It was amazing. Plus the staff was kind, courteous and even gave us a warning when the loud speakers, near us, were used!! Absolutely recommend!! 🫶“

“The staff is wonderful. Everyone who works here does an amazing job. They are so kind and attentive.
The ownership seems lacking. They seem to make the women dress in a way to attract male customers. I worry that there is no one to protect them. I came to watch the Mainers playoffs with 6 other women. We had a great time and our service was really great. We get together weekly and we’d like to come here but we’d also like to see the women who work here treated better. They are so good at their jobs. They are super kind and on top of things. What we hate is watching men stare at their asses while they are doing their jobs.
We have a large community here that like this this place. We’d like to support this bar if you can treat your workers better 😊“

“Went there to support my friends band that was playing there. I ordered a Jamison Manhattan. It was one of the skimpiest pours I've seen but that wasn't an issue. When I asked the price $28!!! That's twice the price of the Space Needle let alone a Des Moines dive bar.

Edit: Heard from one of the band members that the insane prices had been adjusted. I made a return visit and the prices were reasonable, the atmosphere was quaint and comfortable and the music was great. I plan to return.“
