“This place has a legendary status to generations of people. My husband grew up going there and his dad showed several other people he knew when he was young too. And every single person my husband has told about this place has become a regular. I was resistant at fist because I'm not crazy about red meat anymore, and the moo yang is what everyone says is the best (it is super good). But I get the gai yang (chicken) and it is just unlike anything else I've ever had. Whoever opened this restaurant long ago had a vision from God above who said "go now, my child, fill the hearts and bellies of people off of 167 for generations", and so it was done. Praise be.“
“Food was super filling and tasted great! Even having only a burger I didn’t even think I could finish it because of how full I got. I had the Chai milkshake too and I loved it. Service was great and our server was super nice and generous, and the restaurant itself was very cute and had cool decor. Definitely will be coming back sometime!“
“In town for business, looked for good reviews for food near my hotel and this place peaked my interest from all the good reviews. Well the reviews were right the food was so good and very tasty with a very polite man at the register, definitely coming back to here again before I leave town. Thank you!“
“I always pass this place on my way to work but since that part of Kent is zombie land I avoid going to any business there. I am glad I took the chance and didn't let the tweeker in the parking lot deter me. The service was fast, place clean, and food delicious.“
“Tell me something. You like teriyaki? Did you move out of state and find that good teriyaki in the US only exists in a few small pockets? Don’t sleep on this stuff guys. Was it Joni Mitchell who said “Don’t it always seem to go that you don’t what you got til it’s gone?” Grab on to the things you love and hold them tight. They will make most things gluten free and not make you feel like a bozo for asking.“
“Best food in the area for the price and quality I come here all the time. Usually when I get teriyaki it’s usually greasy but this place is clean and their food tastes great. The staff always give me great service and the portions here are a lot more than other places. Today I got pork teriyaki and the portion was insane. Great place to eat and order take out“
“I have never had such an amazing experience! The young man that took our order was so kind and helpful and the entire environment was just wonderful. Great portion sizes and perfect prices you really can’t beat Bucks! Thank you guys for the wonderful dinner we will most certainly be returning very soon!!“
“So delicious . New and exciting types of rolls and such. The prices are incredibly low. Between 2 of us we had 4 rolls,a bottle of sake and edemame. Including tip we walked out at just over 50$. It's very small and hidden but soooo very tasty and fresh.“
“I tried this place for the first time today. Ordered spicy chicken teriyaki. I didn't like how they put onions and carrots mixed with the chicken. They also didn't give teriyaki sauce to put on your rice. The food was just alright, for what I spent ($15) There's plenty of better teriyaki places in Kent.“
“Nice clean Teri joint on East Hill Kent. Portions were good, flavor was excellent. I liked applying my own salad dressing versus getting drowned salad. Rice was perfect, very nice gyoza. Chicken portions could be slightly larger, as could the vegetables in the veggie yakisoba, but does not detract from my rating as the price was reasonable.“
“They have the freshest foods I have ever eaten for something quick and on the go. I love their service very authentic and genuine. Nice people and great food options. If you are in the kent/renton area or passing by and want a quick bite to eat, this is the place to go too. Been going here for 3 years now!“
“This place is legit. I had the Mongolian beef wok and my wife had the general tso chicken wok. The food was the best teriyaki I have had in this area. The restaurant is in a rough area, that's the only draw back. The owner was really nice. We will definitely be back.“
“Small place with friendly staff. The pork teriyaki was excellent and the chicken teriyaki was better than most others that I've had before. Good portions for the price, tasty food and a small no frills seating area with several tables, family-friendly seating.“
“GREAT sushi! I ordered a classic Philly roll and a Cherry Blossom roll and they were delicious! I've been trying to give a good sushi place since moving from AZ and I'm so glad we found this place. Even though it was a to-go order, the presentation of the food was picture perfect, they even garnished it with a beautiful orchid flower. I waited in the car at pick up but my husband said the guy at the register was super friendly. I would highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back in the future.“
“Amazing atmosphere, superb service, hidden gem. Sushi Kaunta is the best sushi/sashimi that I’ve had in the PNW and is on par with the same quality/tastes that I’ve had from other similar restaurants in Asia. I came across the restaurant online and thankfully the owner was able to help me with a table for one. The owner is extremely nice and provides personable service. I had the chef’s choice nigiri and ordered two additional pieces off of the menu, every bite was fresh and extremely delicious. Highly recommended and I look forward to when I can come back again! Definitely reach out in advance for a reservation and follow the clear directions on the website to make a reservation.“
