“Super cute little spot, very clean and the women taking orders was very nice. The food was hot and fresh, husband liked the chicken teriyaki. The shrimp tempura was crisp and crunchy on the outside and so tender on the inside. But let me tell you about the wonton soup!!! 10/10, five stars, highly recommended. The broth is glistening with flavor, the wontons are perfectly soft and the veggies are bright and not overcooked. So happy I stopped here, this wonton soup healed me. I wish I would have gotten more.“

My only negative is that there is $5 premium for fried rice which is a lot considering they cook it in bulk for everyon. Times that by 8 guests...cha ching. I still love this place. “The short ribs were really good. Super tender and full of flavor. I thought they’d be expensive, but the prices felt fair, especially considering how everything’s gone up lately.

I also tried one of the wok dishes, and it was tasty. If you like chicken, they’ve got a few solid options worth checking out. Overall, a nice spot. I’d come back again.“

“I’ve been coming to this location for over 30 years. I haven’t been for a few years and my kid was really craving teriyaki so we made the drive to Puyallup for a little nostalgia.
I don’t think this place is managed by the same people. The place looks pretty much the same but possibly under new management.
The older woman who worked here for many years was not here. I didn’t recognize any of the usual staff. There is another woman behind the counter tonight. She was busy getting things done. She is loud and capable, but could rub people the wrong way. She means well, but I think things get lost in translation. For example this evening a customer ordered food through DoorDash and came to pick it up. The woman behind the counter tried to tell the customer it would be $20 cheaper to order through the store directly instead of paying for in-store pickup through DoorDash. The woman behind the counter came across loud and bossy. The customer left upset and obviously confused. The woman behind the counter said she just wanted her customers to not pay extra money.
The food tonight is different than it had been all the years I’ve known this place too. Everything is saucy, even the teriyaki. Still has a good taste and good sized portions, just different. The woman behind the counter was juggling online orders, phone orders, walk-in orders and table service. Our drinks were refilled twice and our food came out quick and hot. Bathrooms were clean, restaurant was clean.
Tonight is Thursday and there was a lot of business there.“

“Can’t say enough. Great food. Far batter than the one across the street. They get the details right. They use good meat, you get your sauces in your To go orders. It’s not even close how much better they are than their neighboring competitor.“

“I used to come here almost every day when I worked across the river bridge in Fife, I would come when they had the two old guys back in the mid 2010's and their sushi is the greatest sushi in the world. I've never had better sushi in my life. It completely changed my perspective on sushi and they have always done an elite job on their products. Here's to hoping i can go back again some day, because you should go. It really is incredible!“

Rice was the only thing I could complain about. The few other sushi joints I've been to in this area delivered a better flavored sushi rice.“
