What a hidden gem! Make sure you get a reservation! Atmosphere is very intimate and quiet. Has a bit of a western salon vibe too. Street parking nearby. Once you enter the building the door to the restaurant is to your immediate left. We both opted for tea when asked. Chef is very knowledgeable and makes sure to list the fish and where they’re from once he brings out the dish. We did the chefs choice plate and it was absolutely amazing. The place is an absolute gem and the chef is a pleasure to dine with. My wife and I opted for the sushi bar seating where we could chat with chef while he prepared our nigiri. Each piece was expertly and meticulously crafted.He is a one-man show, even more impressive when you think about it, especially as the plates are coming out. Sushi Kaunta is a great spot to try high quality fish and an amazing tasting experience. I ordered the Chef’s choice Nigiri menu which I highly recommend if you want to try different species of fish. I also got the maguro mariowase, x2 uni, and sashimi maki and felt that it was plenty of food for two. Thank you to chef Sean Hyun for the pleasant experience :)!
