“This is my favorite sushi place in the south sound area! They have a great selection of rolls: I recommend the salmon lover, blue fin Hawaiian, super bad boy, rainbow, and more. I also really enjoy their soft shell crab, miso, and gyoza. I’ve been here many times and they’re always fast and friendly, and the sushi is consistently very good. Highly recommend.“
“Great food and good size portions. They've always been willing to accommodate special requests for us. We've been going here for nearly 20 years, the owners are super nice and always ask how our kids are doing now. Love the macaroni salad...somewhat addicting. Great teriyaki in Maple Valley.“
“We have eaten here a few times. They are often very busy, so we usually order ahead for takeout. So far, we have enjoyed nearly everything we've eaten. The chicken is quite tasty, sometimes a bit overcooked, but not often. Some of the more Chinese foods have been really good. The fried rice could use a few more spices, it's a bit bland, but we have some sauces that bring it up to our standard for taste. Lots of variety,so we seldom order the same thing, so we can sample different dishes. Good place. We have been at off hours and the ambiance is pretty friendly.“
“Love this place, their teriyaki and lemon chicken combo is delicious, as is their almond chicken. And the portions are huge, I get 2 meals out of one entree. Service is always quick and friendly, I’ve never had to wait more than 20 minutes for food. We’ve eaten here at least 10 times and will keep coming back.“
“Super sweet staff. For being such a small establishment, they pack amazing flavor and an encompassing variety of food!Vegetarian options: They have a few plant based options and plenty of vegetarian options, enough to come back more than once.“
“Wonderful little hole in the wall restaurant with very well made and inexpensive sushi, teriyaki etc. The service is fast and very professional.Vegetarian options: There are some tasty vegetarian options.Wheelchair accessibility: There’s a ramp“
“Great solid place to go and eat. The service is always really good. Quality of food is wonderful. Close to home so when I need a quick meal that appeals to the whole fam, we go here. Never once been disappointed. Just wish they would go back to delivering to my home like they did back in the good 'ol days. (I don't like using Uber or the other service delivery outfits.) Cheers!!!!“
“Pretty standard teriyaki place in Western Washington. Good offerings especially the katsu IMO. The owners seem a bit distant, but the younger son is really nice. The highlight of the food experience here is actually their house cheeseburger which IMO is really really good.“
“Best food in the area for the price and quality I come here all the time. Usually when I get teriyaki it’s usually greasy but this place is clean and their food tastes great. The staff always give me great service and the portions here are a lot more than other places. Today I got pork teriyaki and the portion was insane. Great place to eat and order take out“
“I tried this place for the first time today. Ordered spicy chicken teriyaki. I didn't like how they put onions and carrots mixed with the chicken. They also didn't give teriyaki sauce to put on your rice. The food was just alright, for what I spent ($15) There's plenty of better teriyaki places in Kent.“
“Ordered the kung pao chicken, it was delicious! Comes with two nice big scoops of rice and a good portion of chicken and various vegetables (there are peanuts!) The sauce goes well with the rice, yum. It had just the right amount of spiciness (you probably can’t eat this if you have 0 tolerance for spice). Pick up of the takeout order went smoothly, food was ready fast and I was in and out. Restaurant itself was small and a bit dark but clean enough. The man at the front/cashier was friendly. Be wary though that they don’t really read the special instructions/notes; I asked for a spoon, chopsticks, and napkins in my pick up order but ended up with just a single small/thin napkin and a fork. The sauce had spilled out from the edges of the styrofoam takeout box so thankfully there was a plastic bag around it, it was a bit messy inside the bag.. Other than that though, food was great! Would come back again to give it another shot and to try out some other dishes on the menu.“
“The Chicken Katsu was the best I've ever had, and the generous portions left me fully satisfied. The spotless and quaint ambiance, coupled with terrific service, made for a delightful dining experience. What truly sets this place apart is the exceptional quality of the food; both mine and my partner's dishes were next-level delicious.A special shoutout to the owner who went above and beyond! Despite my post-flight delirium leading to me leaving my bag behind, she not only found it but also shipped it to me for free. Such kindness is rare and greatly appreciated. I'm now a devoted fan and plan to visit Kami Teriyaki every time I'm in town. This place deserves all the business for its fantastic food and the wonderful people who run it. Grateful to have discovered this gem!“
“I've been coming here for at least 15 years. I've tried a bunch of other teriyaki places including in the area and in Seattle and haven't found any that are as good as Miako. It's now the only teriyaki place I'll go to since no others are anywhere as good. Their pork, beef, and chicken teriyaki are all fantastic. Their egg rolls are great too. Their yakisoba unfortunately isn't any good, but very few places make it well so I don't hold it against them. The only downside is that recently they noticeably reduced how much meat you get which is really disappointing since until now it's always been the same generous portion. I will note that it's a very small store, so best for takeout. It's easy to call and place an order for pickup, but you can also just walk in and order then wait if you prefer.“
“Second time ordering from this place and it was delicious! Somehow even better the second time. Portions are fantastic and I made more than 1 meal out of my dish, people are friendly, place is cute and clean, and bonus that it's close to home! Adding this to one of my restaurant staples!“
“A great local place for awesome teriyaki, great takeout, and great 'just the thing to hit the spot'. Isn't the most beautiful restaurant ever, but does exactly what it needs to. Serve great food at good prices with friendly staff. Food options for just about anyone's taste too.I enjoy my usual of the sweet and sour chicken, with a light ginger salad and rice. The sauce tastes homemade, with hints of pineapple and just enough ginger, not like the overly sweet sauce at standard places. Picture included. All in all, a swell place for lunch or dinner.“
“Phenomenal little spot in Maple Valley. They took over from the previous sushi spot (I think around a month ago) and at first I thought it was a rebrand but went in today and it's a totally new spot. Night and day difference. Very high quality sushi (and I'm unfortunately sushi snob)- the nigiri was so tasteful and I'd recommend the bento box for lunch for purveyors. Rolls were great and of high quality as well. Next time I'm going to eat as much nigiri as humanly possible .“
