“I came here on a Saturday evening to have dinner with my husband and I was surprised to see it empty based on reviews. We ordered a variety and had prompt service from the nicest woman. She was very attentive and even gave us a free appetizer. The food was some of the best Chinese food I've had. The location looks a bit worn down but the interior is very clean and put together. I would recommend to everyone i know. You can't judge by the exterior. It's great food and great atmosphere!“

“I've had a lot of different poke bowls throughout the south end and I now only go to Green Valley Hanapa'a Poke!! So ONO!! Fish is always fresh & tasty, Mellissa does a wicked Salt & Pepper Chicken (and fish).“

“Ordered takeout from Happy Noodles and was genuinely blown away by how authentic the food is. As a Chinese person, I'm usually pretty picky about Chinese food, and seeing the restaurant packed with Chinese patrons was already a good sign.
I ordered the Intestines Vermicelli, and it was outstanding—spicy, deeply umami, and incredibly generous with the protein. Every bite was packed with flavor.
What really stood out was the hospitality. The lady boss was exceptionally kind and even offered to refill my water bottle and give me extra rice, despite me only ordering takeout.“

“I got the duck and BBQ pork lunch combo. First, the sauce they put on it is fabulous. The pork was actually my favorite. I’d never had Chinese BBQ duck before and it’s a little too fatty for me. The cabbage that comes with is very flavorful but it was cold. Maybe that’s how it’s supposed to be but it just surprised me.
There is extremely limited indoor seating. I’m talking 4 or 5 tables. And they serve everything in to-go containers.“

“Update: I am sad to say that because of the huge changes made to the menu by the new owner, I have to take a star away from my rating. The food has become under seasoned and sometimes the execution is poor. The quality is now inconsistent but broadly underwhelming, with old signature dishes having been removed or turned into something unrecognizable. It is nowhere near where it was three years ago when the founder ran the restaurant. I hope that they reconsider a lot of these changes so I can give the star back.
Not just the best Chinese food in the Pierce/King county area, but the best food. My wife is a Chinese expat and this is pure comfort food for her. Their food is authentic Chinese, the way I remember it from my time there in Henan, and on top of that, it's relatively cheap.
You know it's real Chinese when it's fresh, delicious, healthy, and reasonably priced. We drive all the way from Tacoma to come here every time, at least twice a month. It's worth the trip not just because the food is so good, but also because the location is great -- we can do our shopping at Ranch 99 for cool Asian import groceries and other comforts from back home.
On top of all this, the service is warm, sincere, and efficient. My favorite place to eat, period.“

“We left another location and came here! We know Kent Dough Zone is best service, best location, BEST FOOD!
They took us last minute with only 25 min till close.
The servers were very polite and accommodating (even though it was basically closing time)
I came in with 3 teenagers
We had two spicy mala noodles, two dan dan noodles, two orders sweet and spicy garlic chili pan fried chicken wontons, and hot & sour chicken wontons, oh and a green onion pancake.
Everything was so good as always and they even gave complimentary pork and crab soup dumplings.which reminds me
We also ordered the chicken xio long bao (chicken soup dumps)
Such a great place
All that under $80
Best place ever
Thank you so much
Didn’t get photos cause we ate as soon as they brought it out lol“

“I order from here at least two times a month and it’s always the best. “I’ve been in Washington for ten years and this is the best Chinese restaurant I’ve ever had here. I live in pierce county and I make the trip every other week. They are always pleasant. The food is consistently delicious. I do takeout and when I get home the food is still hot. The green pepper beef, prawn fried rice, crispy chili chicken wing, fried pork wonton and the wor ton soup are my favorites. I am very pleased with them. When a Chinese restaurant serve real hot mustard (not that packaged stuff) you know they’re good. They definitely reminded me of the yummy Chinese food on the east coast.“

“We were craving teriyaki and have been slowly trying out all the ones in the area. We're very happy having had Buck's, the plan was clean , service is friendly and quick with no overly loud music(TV on but a nice low volume). The portions are great and the food itself beautifully seasoned, tender and moist with nice cuts(no cheap grisly bits in our meal). We got the spicy chicken and pork they were so good and the salad simple but so nicely chopped(love me some consistent texture) and went nicely with the meal. We're done trying out other spots this is the one. Now only if they offered catering cause I would absolutely getting catering for parties.“

“This place really shines with stir-fried dishes. The wok hei is strong and well executed, easily one of the best spots if you’re craving bold, classic Sichuan small plates.
Recommended:
Mapo tofu (balanced numbing spice), fresh pepper stir-fried snail meat, spicy stir-fried pork kidney, shredded potato with green pepper, and chives with crispy tripe. Honestly, most of their quick stir-fry dishes are very solid.
Not recommended:
Mao xue wang, grilled fish, and boiling fish dishes — these are noticeably weaker compared to their stir-fry lineup.
If you know what to order, this is a great spot for authentic, high-heat Sichuan flavors.“

“Nikko is one of my go-to lunch spots. Their teriyaki chicken is the best in the valley. The portions are generous, and the sauce has a unique spice in it that I love, not your ordinary bottle variety sauce. Service is fast and always friendly.
In my most recent visit I strayed from the usual to sample their yakisoba noodles. Again, large portions for an exceptional value. It was fresh and hot. I ate it all, but I probably won't order it again, as I found the sauce too sweet. Next time back to the chicken.
Also, the gyoza are worth the splurge!“

“If you like spicy, textured sushi rolls, you definitely have to order The H3 Roll ($19.99) at Appa Sushi & Bento Teriyaki!
Inside, it’s packed with spicy tuna, spicy salmon, spicy yellowtail, and crunchy cucumber, then topped with creamy avocado, spicy mayo, and eel sauce. What makes this roll stand out is the four different types of tobiko (flying fish roe) on top. They add a salty, satisfying pop of texture that brings the whole roll together.
The fun part is that each tobiko color actually brings a unique, subtle flavor profile:
Red: Beet
Yellow: Yuzu/Citrus
Green: Wasabi
Black: Squid Ink
Don't let the exotic details intimidate you—the flavors are balanced and complement the roll perfectly. It's super filling, gorgeous to look at, and worth every penny. Highly recommend giving this a try if you enjoy fresh fish with a bit of a kick!“
