“I'm a white dude here in Seattle on vacation from Ohio. We decided to try a more authentic Chinese restaurant. Had a great time.

Service was fantastic. I broke my right wrist when I was in my teens and can't use chopsticks without a lot of pain - they didn't make me feel awkward asking for a fork, they brought them for the whole family without asking. They made a few suggestions and let us know the entrees came without rice.

We got the house fried rice, pepper chicken wings, Chinese broccoli and beef, general tsos chicken (yes, I know, not at all authentic.) and Szechuan beef.

The fried rice was delicious. My picky daughter was super happy with her wings. The beef and broccoli was amazing. Never had Chinese broccoli before and I will be buying it at home from now on. The general tsos was hands down the best I've ever had. Crispy, tender, the sauce was good, it was just amazing. The Szechuan dish was hot. I mean, hot. I make my own hot sauce at home. I enjoyed it but couldn't have a lot without suffering consequences.

Hands down one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had! The food was bomb, every bite was full of flavor, fresh, and beautifully presented. You can tell they put real heart into every dish.

But what truly sets this place apart is the service. I dropped my fork, and I kid you not, not even a second later, the lady brought me a new one — without me even asking! She was so on point it blew my mind.

She also makes conversation with every single customer, and not in a fake or forced way, she’s genuinely warm and makes you feel like family. It’s rare to see service like that these days.

“I’ve been in Washington for ten years and this is the best Chinese restaurant I’ve ever had here. I live in pierce county and I make the trip every other week. They are always pleasant. The food is consistently delicious. I do takeout and when I get home the food is still hot. The green pepper beef, prawn fried rice, crispy chili chicken wing, fried pork wonton and the wor ton soup are my favorites. I am very pleased with them. When a Chinese restaurant serve real hot mustard (not that packaged stuff) you know they’re good. They definitely reminded me of the yummy Chinese food on the east coast.“

“Decided to try Golden Phoenix while I was driving through the area. I've been looking for a place that cam make kung pao chicken how I prefer it, with lots of veggies and I've found my new favorite place. There were plenty of bell peppers and veggies. Also it had that hallmark delicious Chinese food taste (probably msg) that I love! The egg drop soup I got was delicious as well. It was almost eerily quiet while i was here. Some music would probably help. I was the only person eating here the whole time I was in, but a few pick up orders did go out. I'm def coming back here if I'm in the area though because the food was delicious. Also I tested their water (which tasted good) and it rang 17 ppm (the reader goes 1-600, 600, 1 being pristine) which is pretty clean. :)“

“Everything I've ordered from here has been delicious. I would just say if you get a sandwich make sure you eat it within an hour or the bread starts to get so crusty it kind of grates up your mouth. The sandwich tastes so good that you'll probably just keep eating it and deal with the pain.“
