“Me and my partner both grew up in towns that had a little shopping mall, and inside the mall there was always a little Greek spot. We loved those spots and since leaving our home towns we've always been looking for a great Greek spot. Well Gyros House is the spot, not only was the gyro the best gyro we had ever had, the gentleman running the shop was an incredible human and left us both laughing and smiling when we left, we will both be back for sure to try more of the menu items. Fabulous 10/10 could not have been better.“

“Daebak Wang Mandoo is one of those special mom-and-pop restaurants that deserves to be packed every day. Every time we come here, the food is consistently delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. You can really tell that everything is prepared with care and served fresh from the kitchen. The quality and taste have been remarkably consistent every single visit, which is something I really appreciate.

The restaurant itself is always spotlessly clean, and the family who runs it is genuinely some of the sweetest people. The owners are incredibly kind, welcoming, and friendly, and it’s honestly adorable when their kids are helping out around the restaurant on some days. There’s such a warm, family atmosphere here that makes you feel like you’re supporting a real local family rather than just going out to eat.

And the ultimate endorsement? My four-year-old calls this her favorite restaurant and asks to come here all the time! Our go-to is usually a bowl of handmade dumpling soup for each person and the fried mandu (one order with kimchi pork for the adults and one order without the kimchi for the kiddo who doesn’t like spicy food yet).

If you’re anywhere in Federal Way and haven’t tried Daebak Wang Mandoo yet, put this little gem on your list. “First time eating at Nami Sushi, and it did not disappoint! We ordered the small boat, which has 20 different items in the boat and 3 different kinds of rolls. We also ordered the tempura calamari and Agedashi with a side of Japanese beer (large bottle of Asahi). The wait staff are attentive and checked on us multiple times. “Delicious Korean restaurant bar that was open late. The owner was incredibly friendly and gave great service. The fried chicken, seafood pancake, and tofu soup were excellent. Honestly it's remarkable this place was so great, especially for a late-night joint in Federal Way. I would definitely come back if I'm back in the area and would recommend wholeheartedly.“

“Interior of Aji Koharu is calming and shelters customers from the rush of traffic on Hwy 99. The food was excellent: well prepared, presentation of various items enhanced the meal, the flavor and texture of the variety of sashimi was each distinct and appreciated. The portions are generous and thank goodness fulfilling of the appetite of our adolescent boys. The adults were also pleased by the generous portions which some of them shared with the young men. Happy diners all around. Some suggestions: music can be less intrusive and unavailable menu items need to be communicated to customers before they look at the menu to make their selection. This can spare disappointment of customer and avoid lost/waste of time for wait staff and customer. We'll share our delight with Aji Koharu with our friend groups and we have made plans to return for more if the excellent dishes at Aji Koharu.“

Prices are industry standard, so no suprises there. Late hours, plus a bar inside the restaurant make it an excellent stop at the end of the work day, or just for a bite with friends. A recommended visit.“

Food is hands down some of the best bar food in the area, the burgers are awesome! Plenty of TVs, outside area too. “L&L saved the day for catering! This was for my dad's memorial service. One medium pan is definitely enough food to feed 24 people. I had 24 people at the event and was unsure about the size so I got medium pan of beef short ribs, a medium pan of bbq chicken, and a medium of rice. There is so much food left over! Anyway, the service was really good and the guy behind the counter brought the box of food out to my car.

“We had an early dinner yesterday and had such a great experience, from the kind owner, who ran the whole place by herself during that time, to the food, to the cleanliness. Everything was fresh. The place is clean from kitchen to dining area to the restroom.

The food was delicious, but we were in such a rush that I forgot to take photos of the food we ordered: grilled pork banh mi, bun bo hue, and kids pho with tofu. The tofu seemed freshly made. Everything was delicious!

The prices were reasonable and affordable.

The staff were polite and responsive as well. Their lunch buffet is also phenomenal; East India Grill is our family’s favorite spot for lunch celebrations because everyone can get what they want (including salad and dessert options).“

“I've had Underground Kitchen before, via delivery, so I knew I already enjoyed the food, but this was my first time entering the restaurant. One concern I have is regarding the accessibility of the location. As the name suggests, the restaurant is located underground requiring travel via stairs. I'm sure the restaurant is ADA compliant, but I do not know where the wheelchair accessible route is. Asides that, the vibe of the restaurant itself is nice and has this Korean bar feel. The music is on the louder side, but I enjoyed the Kpop that was being played. The restaurant is generally clean and there are complimentary candies near the register. The service was great and I had no problems with the staff. I went here with a friend and we got the Half Fried and Half Yangnyeom Chicken, and the Kimchi Cream Udon with Beef. In order for a classic Korean chicken shop to be considered good, they must nail both the original fried chicken and the yangnyeom chicken, to which UnderGround kitchen did. I prefer their chicken over Pelicana because of how well seasoned the meat was. The original fried was perfectly juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. The yangnyeom could have been spicier, but it is a good spice level for the average American tastebud. Nonetheless, despite yangnyeom chicken being a saucy chicken, the coating was still crispy. As for the kimchi cream udon with beef, it was divine. The last time I tried their food I had the one with pork belly, and I remembered enjoying it then too, but wasn't sure if the pork belly was doing the heavy lifting as my favorite type of meat. I was quickly proven wrong with the beef udon because this was just as good as the pork belly kimchi cream udon. The noodles had a great bite to them without being undercooked. The beef was soft enough to chew through with healthy teeth. However, the kimchi cream sauce is what carried the whole dish, as both ingredients balance each other out. The sourness of kimchi reduces the richness of the sauce to a perfect level that is creamy enough, but not overly fatty, while the dairy content neutralizes the spice. I highly recommend UnderGround Kitchen.“
