“Daebak Wang Mandoo is one of those special mom-and-pop restaurants that deserves to be packed every day. Every time we come here, the food is consistently delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. You can really tell that everything is prepared with care and served fresh from the kitchen. The quality and taste have been remarkably consistent every single visit, which is something I really appreciate.
The restaurant itself is always spotlessly clean, and the family who runs it is genuinely some of the sweetest people. The owners are incredibly kind, welcoming, and friendly, and it’s honestly adorable when their kids are helping out around the restaurant on some days. There’s such a warm, family atmosphere here that makes you feel like you’re supporting a real local family rather than just going out to eat.
And the ultimate endorsement? My four-year-old calls this her favorite restaurant and asks to come here all the time! Our go-to is usually a bowl of handmade dumpling soup for each person and the fried mandu (one order with kimchi pork for the adults and one order without the kimchi for the kiddo who doesn’t like spicy food yet).
If you’re anywhere in Federal Way and haven’t tried Daebak Wang Mandoo yet, put this little gem on your list. Delicious food, generous hospitality, a super clean restaurant, and a family that clearly puts their heart into what they do. Local family owned businesses like this are exactly where I want to spend my money.“

“We had an early dinner yesterday and had such a great experience, from the kind owner, who ran the whole place by herself during that time, to the food, to the cleanliness. Everything was fresh. The place is clean from kitchen to dining area to the restroom.
The food was delicious, but we were in such a rush that I forgot to take photos of the food we ordered: grilled pork banh mi, bun bo hue, and kids pho with tofu. The tofu seemed freshly made. Everything was delicious!
The prices were reasonable and affordable.
We will surely be back to try other dishes as well.“

“I like to think I know good pho from frequently trying Vietnamese restaurants in Westminste, CA.
This place has the best broth. I literally come by here everytime I'm in town for work. I've only ever had the pho but if the broth is this good I'm sure all their dishes are fantastic.“

“The food here is great. But, I've reached the limit on what my pocketbook can Justify for a bowl of broth. I started going here pre-pandemic, but since then the cost has increased twice. The cost is almost double what it was. I had the small seafood pho with tip was 23.00. Really not a lot of seafood either to justify it. Go, enjoy your meal. But expect to pay more then you would expect.“

Food is very good and the portions are huge! The pork and chicken are crunchy (but not hard!) and stay crunch for the whole time!
Lightly salted so you can add more salt yourself. Perfect for those who are on a salt diet!“

“This has become our go to Thai place in Federal Way. The curry are thick and hearty, not watered down like some other places. The portion sizes, on dine in at least are big that you'll must certainly have leftovers to take home. The only downside that comes to mind are the crab rangoons being middle of the road, but all the other food has been great.“
