“First order: I was really excited. The portions felt on par with what I would expect for the cost, and most importantly, the meals seemed fresh. The flavors were really good and packaged well. As someone who hates leftovers, I really enjoyed my first order. I would have given 4/5 stars.

My second order this week, not so much. (Maybe I ordered the wrong things this week). The breakfast portions were small (I was still hungry afterward), and the quality didn’t feel the same as the week before. The scrambled eggs with asparagus turned the eggs slimy and brown—not the most appealing. Dinners during the second week were decent but included fillers, like what appeared to be canned green beans. More roasted broccoli would have felt better, in my opinion.

So it depends on the week, I guess. I already ordered for next week, so we’ll see. I’ll update my review if the quality improves. I would order again for convenience (I’m currently postpartum, so having premade meals is super helpful!), but for this price point, I would expect the quality to stay consistent or improve.“

“Love this place. Great food, huge portions. I’ve been eating here since before it was KOBE. Just ordered my first large order yesterday. Called in 14 meals, they had it ready for me in 20 min as requested. Threw in 14 sodas for free. Not only will I continue to frequent for my personal lunches I will be bringing more of my larger orders for business meetings here!“

“The yellow curry, which I order everywhere I go, was one of the best I've ever had. Unfortunately the potatoes and carrots were raw, even though I asked them specifically to be fully cooked. I will definitely come back again and give them a second chance“

“Huge portions of food for great price. Extremely good and fresh tasting food! The food is amazing and VERY consistent. No fat on meat, chicken is moist never dried out, and there's tons to choose from. I was shopping at nearby store with my mom and we decided to try this place for lunch. I haven't gone to any other teriyaki place since!! Best place! And very attentive service too.“

“Our first time trying this restaurant, I drive past it on my way to work. So I finally stopped in.
I was nervous cuz it looked closed & the open sign wasn’t on. It was indeed open thankfully 😂
The customer service was nice, he was very helpful & friendly.
The food came out quickly and hot.

I ordered the Steele st special B all my favorite things in 1 box. It definitely hit all my expectations. I will get this again anytime

My daughter got the bbq pork fried rice, no veggies. She also got enjoyed her food.

On the side we shared an order of egg rolls. Very tasty.

Not one complaint from us today.

“Easily one of the best teriyaki spots I’ve tried in Washington. The food was fresh, flavorful, and the portions were generous. I especially loved that the teriyaki sauce was served warm — it’s a small detail, but it really elevated the whole meal.

The beef dish was amazing and probably my favorite. Tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. You can tell they really care about the quality of the food.

On top of that, the staff was very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Definitely coming back!“

“The food is so good and the portions are huge. This is one of my fav places to go to when I just want to stop by and pick up food. As far as the “mean” cashier, he’s just socially awkward and that shouldn’t determine whether to come here or not.“

“What an absolutely amazing experience at Puyalapabs Cafe inside Emerald Queen Casino in Tacoma! My husband and I stopped in for dinner before seeing Jo Koy, and it was the perfect way to start our date night. A very special thank you to Vikki, who took such wonderful care of us! She was incredibly professional, sweet, attentive, and accommodating from start to finish. She made sure our drinks were always filled, checked in on us throughout our meal, and made sure our food came out quickly and perfectly prepared. “I wasn't sure how they were going to be when I first saw them coming to Tacoma Mall after getting bad reviews from other locations. But then as I saw people lining up more, I eventually tried them myself and the 3 times I've eaten there so far, there's been no problem. Food was very good, prices decent.“

The taste and price combo, deserves 5 stars. A perfect amount of meat and rice with some vegetables. Tasted nice and fresh with fluffy rice.

I would try again in the future. Great deal in my opinion.“
