“Tbh, best Indian food in the region. Feels like a home-cooked meal, made with love. The butter chicken is amazing, as are the daily rotating specials. Chan, who is often working the front counter, is lovely. Cannot recommend Spice King enough!“

“One of the few truly tasty places in Seattle. The smell first caught my attention, and the food did not disappoint when I went in. It is a spicy flavor explosion. With this right next to my light rail stop, I worry I will soon be broke and fat.“

“Vegetarian and Indian is some of my favorite food, Angar Kitchen didn't disappoint. Food was delicious, we both were stuffed. The atmosphere and decor are really on point here though, it's very modern and beautiful. Definitely thoughtfully designed with even the dishes the food is served in being chic and fit the overall aesthetic. Try it out!“

“I first heard about Kanishka's Des Moines location through a friend who saw somebody raving about it in a Seattle foodies group here on FB. My friend and I went to check it out and, well, it's my new favorite restaurant. I've been here 3 times and Door Dashed it once in the past month. The food every time has been absolutely fantastic, and the portion size are quite generous. The appetizers are almost entree-sized; the first time I went there with a friend, we filled up on appetizers and had to get our entrees to go. Dish recommendations: Chicken 65 and Fish Pakoras for appetizers; Mixed Grill, Lamb Vindaloo, and Paneer Korma entrees. Also, listen to your host as it seems like they're always trying out new dishes that haven't made it onto the menu yet.“

“Nice, quiet, and comfortable place. Highly recommend for 20 some things to go on a date, all the way to bringing your 67-year-old parent who gets overstimulated by the city. Be mindful that gratuity is automatically included so the price jumps up quick. Very quality food and I love the family style eating.
Dietary restrictions: Lots of diversity to have meat, no meat, plant-based, etc.“

“Tasty Indian Cuisine consistently exceeds my high expectations with its exceptional food and variety of dishes, from vegetarian to meat options, ensuring there’s something for everyone. The service is always top-notch, with the front man and chef making sure every guest feels welcome and well taken care of.
Vegetarian options: The vegetarian options are simply outstanding. The front man explains each option in detail, answering questions with clarity, ensure that you feel confident in your choice.“

“The place is a little warm. It is in a walkable neighborhood with paid street parking. A causal place where you order up front and then grab your food.
Seating is limited and is first come first serve.
The food was flavorful and came out hot. In terms of spice levels, if you can handle habenero then most food will be tolerable.
The mango lassi was warm, could use some ice cubes to make it a more refreshing drink.“

“Janoon serves the best Indian food I’ve ever had, hands down. My family and I are regulars, and we’ve sampled most of the menu. My personal favorites are the Lamb Curry, Butter Chicken, Chicken Tikka, and, of course, the fresh naan!
Now for the downsides: They’re closed on Tuesdays, likely because it’s a family-run operation. Occasionally, there’s a bit of a language barrier with the staff, but we always manage to communicate just fine. The service isn’t five-star, but they do their best. The location is in an office park, so the dining area isn’t the most comfortable or inviting due to the limited space.
But here’s the good: The food more than makes up for any shortcomings. It’s so good, you’ll forget all about the minor issues. The staff is incredibly sweet, and the space is always clean and well-maintained. I find myself needing to eat here at least once a month, or I genuinely miss it. My adult kids order from here twice a week! If you think you’ve had Indian food before, think again. My son’s girlfriend, who comes from an Indian family, says, “This is as authentic as my grandmother’s cooking, and hands down the best in Seattle.” A friend of mine even needed a cigarette after eating here—it’s that good.
My suggestions for the owners: Never change the food or your recipes. But consider finding an investor or securing a loan to relocate to a place like Kent Station or Southcenter. Add booths, tables, and decor, and hire some top-notch waitstaff and front-of-house management. With food this amazing, paired with a more polished atmosphere, you’d be packed 24/7. I have no doubt that Janoon could become a multi-location success, and it’s already my all-time favorite Indian restaurant.“

“Typical Indian place with a standard menu. Most dishes are reasonably priced. Many vegetarian options. The roti and korma we ordered were good. But Biryani tasted average with burnt broccoli and cauliflower. Serving time was quick. Plenty of parking outside.“

“Kati choices and fillings are on point! In the years I’ve lived in Seattle no resto, high-end or budget, has ever had the level of consistency as this place. It rivals the speed taste and pricing of establishments in cities like NYC , LA and Boston. Seriously the most reliable spot in town to invest your takeout funds in.“

“Fantastic bang for your buck, Tikka Masala in Bellevue is worth going out of your way for. They have some fantastic variety in their menu, and do chicken curries especially well. But perhaps the crown jewel of their menu is the seafood biriyani. The shrimp is amazingly flavourful and the fish practically melts in your mouth. The portions are incredibly generous for the price. I always have leftovers after every visit. There are very few Indian restaurants in Western WA that top this one.“

“I always come to Daawat when I am in Seattle and in the mood for Indian. Its a great place to both eat and come for cocktails. They have some very creative cocktails (think dirty/alcoholic mango lassi). Give it a try!“

“I can say that their Bombay Aloo Tiki Burger is the most delicious burger I have eaten in Seattle. I was delighted when I was asked for the spice level for my burger. I got 5/5 and it was perfect for me. And the masala fires were also a delicious cherry on top. The amount of masala used is perfect. I would not ask for more or less.
Although, not a fan of their spongy gulab jamun. Since it was priced reasonably, I don’t mind. Also, you aren’t missing out much if you don’t get Aloo paratha.
Update: Ate thrice in a week. Have come to a realization that dine is not same as to-go/ online orders. Only dine in is good“

“For one reason, the Bombay Seafood Curry. You guys, it was out of this world good. The Samosas were just ok. The gentleman was great, the lady barely acknowledged my presence. That was pretty off putting. But I'll definitely return for this dish. Yum“

“The food is made with passion and its a novel way to enjoy paratha's. Follow the directions and put in the teeny tiny bit of effort to cook the paratha's just before eating. You will never go back to eating the soggy, pre-cooked paratha's...“

“So their South Indian food is really good. Super crispy dosa, soft idlis, flavorful aloo (with cashews ?), really nice chutney. The only thing is that their North Indian and Maharashtrian food kind of misses the mark. The peanuts in the poha are burnt. You're supposed to fry the peanuts, take them out, make the poha, and then put them back in. You should add some onions and potatoes to it too and cilantro at the end. Please fix this, I miss having poha regularly, and I don't have the energy to make it myself.“

“I have lived in Seattle for about five years and have been extremely disappointed by the vegan friendly Indian options. They have been flavorless and lacked spice. This place made up for it! They have loads of clearly marked vegan options. They were flavorful and actually came with rice rather than ordering it separately (an odd rarity in this city). I ordered delivery, so I can't speak to the atmosphere etc. but the food was fantastic and was served and delivered very quickly.
Dietary restrictions: Vegan and vegetarian options“

“Just recently visited this place, on a Thursday, right at noon. (I was only one in the restaurant. Very surprised by that) saw people going in and out of a Teriyaki place next door.
I ordered pineapple chicken (Cut up chicken and pineapple cooked with a mild Creamy Butter Sauce. Came with basmati rice. Also ordered Naan Bread. Also a bottle of beer. Came to some $26 dollars. But the food was great, service was friendly, clean restaurant. I will definitely go back some time. If you want something different then Teriyaki or a burger, give them a try!“

“The food is ok. Nothing extra ordinary, but its really difficult for me to understand why they add 18% tips by default. Even for group of 4 or just one person for that matter. Price of food really on higher side with minimum quantity. Another thing is you cant split a bill. So on one table they only accept one credit card. This place is not for celebrating with friends for that reason.“

“I am bit of a snob when it come to Indian food, especially street food. I have had some tasty kathi rolls in the past. These rolls are pretty tasty. We tried the achari aloo, paneer chilli, and chana masala - all tasty. Paneer chili was quite spicy so if u want it milder go lower than default.Would recommend going early to avoid lunch rush and have maximum options of flavours. Price could be a little lower, but everything is expensive now so not surprised considering its between amazon offices.“

“The food is absolutely amazing and authentic. My family of 5 devoured everything we ordered and the portion size of the 3 entrees 2 serving of Naan and chicken Biryani was jmore than enough for dinner and leftovers for lunch the next day. Great food and great customer service we will be back .“
