“I recently visited Just Poké and had a pretty solid experience overall, with a few small things that kept it from being great.

I started with the Spam musubi, which was honestly one of the highlights of the meal. The Spam itself was soft, flavorful, and really satisfying to bite into. It had that perfect savory-sweet balance you’d hope for. My only critique is that there was a bit too much rice compared to the Spam, which made the ratio feel slightly off. With just a little less rice, it would’ve been spot on.

For the mains, I tried both the Teriyaki Salmon and the Sesame Seared Salmon. The Teriyaki Salmon was very enjoyable — the flavoring was rich and well-balanced without being overwhelming. It paired really nicely with the salad and mac salad that came with it, making for a well-rounded and filling meal.

The Sesame Seared Salmon was also very tasty, especially with the fresh salad. The sesame added a nice texture and flavor that complemented the fish well. That said, the portion size of the salmon felt a bit small. I found myself wishing there was more of it, as it was gone pretty quickly compared to the rest of the dish.

Overall, my experience at Just Poké was decent. The food quality is definitely there, with good flavors and fresh ingredients, but slight adjustments in portion balance would make a big difference. I’d still come back to try more from the menu.“

“Brunch out on the Fourth of July before heading into the day. If we hadn’t been brought here by locals or word of mouth, we never would have found this hidden gem. One family, two shops: Kauai Family Restaurant and Cakes of Paradise (sells coffee and delicious desserts - smashed macaroon was a hit).

One Big Loco Moco and Kalua Pork were “shared” with the Loco Moco winning out; both the gravy and egg yoke meandering through the rice made it a “one more bite and then you can have it” dish. The best kind.

Chill atmosphere, backing tunes present but not overwhelming, friendly staff, and excellent food. What’s not to like?“

“Masubi Kai serves some seriously delicious food. The poke bowls are excellent—the Rainbow Bowl was incredibly fresh, and every ingredient worked perfectly together. The musubi selection is just as impressive, with all kinds of combinations featuring meats, Spam, egg, avocado, and more. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and well made. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to.“

“I had an enjoyable time, dancing to the music while I ate for an hour. The server was so friendly and you could tell the food was made with love. The server was so nice that I wanted to tip her, but stoic in that she hit the no tip button while my finger was aiming for the 30%. I got the plain soup and a while sized meal. Came with mac salad, salad, kimchi, 3 sauces, a drink, and 2 scoops of rice. I ended up mixing some with the soup and it was an amazing meal. I'll have to come back to Seattle and tip her faster next time.“

“The owners are truly kind, grateful people. The food is fresh- I had a Poke bowl with Salmon and avocado, and it was FULL of good flavor. My kids were crazy about the BBQ Chicken- awesome portions and fantastic sweet/smoky flavor! My wife tried the Yakisoba, and loved all the vegetables. I ordered the combo of teriyaki chicken and kalua pig. The amount is very large; not only rice but also chicken and pork.
Teriyaki is much sweeter than Japanese, but tasty. I'd like more vegetable if possible.“
