“I met up with a couple of girlfriends for some lunch on a Saturday afternoon. At 1:00pm there was a short wait, but you can walk around neighborhood while you wait and they will text you when table is ready. They said there was a 20 minute wait, turned out to be only 10 minutes. Our Server was legit! She knew about every item on the menu in detail, and even explained why certain items went better in some dishes than others. For example shredded chicken vs chunks of chicken. Anyhow I had a hibiscus iced tea. Dang, it was so delicious, lightly sweetened with a small amount of agave syrup. My friend had the bowl, wow it looked so good!! She said it was amazing! I had a fish Taco that was so good. On a scale of 1-10 I give it a 10. They serve in-house made fresh corn tortillas!! The fish can be breaded with Panko or just grilled. I choose the Panko at my server’s suggestion. You can order 1-3 tacos for a set price and I guess add more if you want. She offered a small side of lime cilantro rice with black beans to accompany my Taco! I am happy that I did because it was the perfect amount of food.I absolutely loved every bite of everything I ordered and some of my friends food too! I can’t wait to go back and try more stuff that sounded so good. On that note my only complaint would be trying to decide what to eat, when every item on the menu sounded so good. It was truly difficult picking just one dish!! Did I mention our server was an absolute treat! I wish that I could recall her name. Every step of the way she was there when we needed her and super knowledgeable on everything on menu, super helpful, cheerful and our service was impeccable!!Did I mention that I cant wait to go back ASAP and eat my way through the menu?? Dang, just writing about it is making me hungry ?I better go eat something. Hope this review helps! I am very sincere in all that I wrote and I swear I am not being paid to write about this little gem of a Restaurant, with amazing food!”

“We are visiting from out of state and decided to go for some Mediterranean food recommendation from my cousin. She impressed us with this amazing salad and chicken with rice. Super tasty and full of flavor. Ishmael brought our food out right away was super helpful and quick!”

“Visited Tomo for my 12 year old's birthday dinner. It was a great place for a multigenerational dinner with grandparents and aunts and uncles. Everyone shared a sushi boat with several rolls and pieces of nigiri and it was fantastic. The vegetarian sushi was also quite good. Recommend if you are looking for affordable sushi in a relaxed location.”

“I hadn't been to this part of Burien for some time so was glad to see the revitalization and stopped into Logan Brewing for beer with a friend. The community is lucky to have this establishment. The local is great for a summer drive, walk, or cycle. It's fun to try their offerings, something new in a place that's changed so much. Fun to sit outside, talk, and people watch. Parking is on the street. The service was a little odd - not sure why because it wasn't busy - I'd call it disinterested, I guess. The place has potential.”

“The waitress helping us was nice and really sold us on their winter dessert which was a meringue paired with pears, pomegranate and other yummy stuff. It was delicious and we devoured it within minutes. The food is always good and love coming here to celebrate small special occasions.”

“Stopped in today(sunday) early afternoon. Pretty quiet considering the amazing March weather. Definitely started to pick up right before we left. Food was awesome!!! Our server was super friendly and helpful with suggestions. Glad we found this place. We will definitely be back!!”

“Decided to have sushi for dinner and stumbled across this place. The store was boarded up completely, turns out someone drove through their store and robbed them. Nonetheless I proceeded to head inside and was happy to see an excellent health rating by king county. As I sat down I was greeted by a very sweet waitress I orded everything she recommended and I have to say it everything was good! The first roll in my picture seemed like the sushi melted in my mouth, but had a crunch from the fried shrimp and cucumber. It was pretty spicy didn't help that I added heaps of wassabi. The second roll was the best it was a blast of flavors one of the best rolls I've ever had. By the time I got to the third roll I was already full! But had to finish and the third roll was just fine. Least favorite of the previous rolls. I sat for awhile and was only asked if I needed something once from a different server who kinda had an attitude. Overall I enjoyed my time.”

“Everything is great here. The squash appetizer could be the best squash anywhere. The pizza is fantastic but the name could easily be changed to burien pasta since the pasta dishes are the best around.”

“My friend and I meet here seasonally. I live an hour away and this is our place! We love the lentil soup! Everything is delicious, fresh, and made to order. We keep coming back because they're the best!”

“My family has 5 generations that have eaten at this restaurant. Everyone is always very kind and patient. They always have the same menu but have specials. Usually, 10 or so items on it are often seasonal. Salad with Roquefort dressing and no limit buttery bread with your meal is amazing. You can reserve 2 dining areas, sit in the main area or bar. Sometimes, the food needs a little seasoning, but I imagine that may be due to the older crowd that often eats there. The open kitchen gives a sort of welcoming atmosphere that a lot of restaurants don't have anymore. Please go and try.”

“I come here every few months and get the chikena tibs. It’s always so good and with so much flavor. They make it very fresh, and the meat is always so tender. Plus they give you a huge portion that can easily last several meals so it’s well worth the price.”

“This place is a hidden gem. Limoncello cake is an explosion of flavor and texture. Quality and fresh ingredients. Perfect atmosphere for family dinner, date, or if you would like to spend a night at the bar and have a meal. Regardless, it’s a must to check this place out. Your taste buds deserve some love.”

Really amazing food as well, best oyster shooters and I mean look at the portion size ! Definitely recommend!Kid-friendliness: At the hours I was there , I saw children. “I can't wait to come back for another meal at Salva Mex! We had a really great experience. They serve dishes from Mexico and El Salvador for dine-in and takeout. There are familiar dishes like tacos and burritos but we went for their signature, pupusas, we ordered two of each kind! They were served with a cortido, a pickled slaw with a zesty flavor that perfectly compliments a pupusa. I LOVE the cortido here, wow! We ordered a plate of rice and beans to go along with them and of course and a plate of fried plantains which added the perfect sweetness to the meal. I like the beans in the style of El Salvador, they're almost like a flavorful puree. We washed it all down with a cold horchata and walked out with leftovers that kept well. We decided to dine in because the service and vibes were good and there was this row of big cozy booths in front of the floor to ceiling windows off Ambaum.(Note: There used to be two restaurants in Burien named Salva Mex, both on Ambaum but the one by Dairy Queen has closed(It is now Tacos El Hass). This Salva Mex was open on Friday night when we went and it is next door to Elmer's Bar & Grill/Burien C.A.R.E.S.)”

“I love this spot. Beautiful central American restaurant with Saturday night karaoke.Much love to your establishment, please keep doing what you're doing. Also came in with a electric scooter and stepped out a few times. It was safe, and they have security for the bar hours. Big thanks to him as well; he works hard and deserves recognition”

“Standard Starbucks product. Staff is efficient. The parking and drive through are a disaster. Do NOT park in the spaces by the door as it is a dead end and the drive through line blocks the parking spaces in and out.”
