“I have had Thai food from many different restaurants around the IS, and this has got to be THE BEST I have ever had! The flavors are amazing and their presentation is unlike any other Thai place I have been to. Complete with banana leaves to keep your food warm! Can’t recommend this place enough!”
“Absolutely the Top Tier, Crème de la crème, BEST Cidery in all of WA State, maybe even the world. There isn't a cider from Dragonshead I've tried yet that I haven't wanted to drink the whole bottle to myself. If you're local or visiting, you HAVE to take a little day trip to the orchard's tasting room, wander the fields, swing in the hammocks, love on visiting dogs and watch the bullfrogs jumping in the pond. It's seriously, so lovely, There's also a new tasting room in town that serves food! The owner, Laura, is the sweetest human and is the kind of person who tracked down local distributors near me so I could purchase my favorite "Celebration" Cider for NYE, sparkling perry. We pop this for our wedding anniversary, New Years, and personal achievements. I'll be soo sad to ever move away from this place! Love Dragons head!”
“The torta con carnitas is so darn good I have a hard time getting anything else. And it is huge!I do, however, love the fish tacos as well (drippy, so eat them in the car at your own risk - but very tasty!)”
“Good lord can this man cook. This is THE best gourmet restaurant on the island or maybe any where. We travel a lot, have eaten a Michelin Star restaurants around the world and the meal we had last night was far superior to any of those places. Christopher is an unsung hero of the palate. A fantastic chef. But please don't go there because I don't want to review myself out of an open table. :-)”
“Best Chai in the Pac Northwest. Worth the trip just for that. Service is friendly. Food is yummy. Atmo is relaxed & chill. I repeatedly enjoyed this spot during my 3 day trip to the island.”
“Great atmosphere, but they need to work more on their pizza doughPros:They have a beautiful yard with picnic tables and benches, and felt a great place to be on a warm sunny dayThey use high quality toppings on their pizzas, which is rare even for Neapolitan pizzas in WA, and practically non-existent for any other types of pizzaCons:They need to work more on their dough. It was very firm, unleavened, and felt unpleasantly chewy. I’m not sure if they were using tipo-00 flour, but if they did it was waste of an expensive ingredient.Even though the toppings were of high-quality, the balance wasn’t very impressive. Finally, the pizzas are 20% more expensive than comparable Neapolitan pizzas in Seattle area, but I guess this is normal for a restaurant on an island.”
“Cinnamon rolls as big as your head — something I will always go out of my way to get! This is a super-relaxed, local, idiosyncratic spot. What it lacks in culinary “nuance” and fancified refinements it more than makes up for in spirit, surprises, and sass.Parking: Be courteous and considerate about where you park. Vashon is a real live functioning community, and folks need to get in and out of their businesses, homes, and byways. Not always very clear where it’s ok to park around here. Informal distinctions between roads, rightofways, pedestrian paths, places of business, privateprops, alleys, driveways, and load-in/outs. In a community that’s not keen on gajillions of rules ‘n’ regs, happiness depends on kind consideration among all people. ☮️”
“Hands down the best Mexican food on Vashon. Only issue is that they’re only open on Saturday! Every menu item is elite. Great Tacos, Burritos, Mulitas, Torta, this place doesn’t miss”
“Andrew Will makes some of the finest wines around. The winery iteself is beautifully tucked away in central Vashon. If you're coming for a visit, I'd suggest planning to do so in the late Spring or early Summer when the weather is more ideal. The owners are extremely nice and they are wonderful members of our community on Vashon. You can find their wines @ Thriftway!”
“I did a retreat on Vashon and Gravy hosted us for a dinner and a brunch, as well as set up a lunch offsite. Each meal was amazing and different, and they used fresh/local produce. The highlights were the poached albacore salad, fresh greens, paella, cookies, and fried chicken. The chef and staff were also very friendly and made us feel at home. I wouldn’t visit vashon without having at least one meal here!”
“My favorite slice in the Seattle area...and I've been searching! I stumbled upon this spot with picky kids in tow one summer day and ended up finding the East Coast style slices I've always known and loved. We picked up a whole pie to share and got to eat it in the shop. Don't have too many reasons to end up back on Vashon, but pizza here will be a must for a next visit!”
“When I say this is the best Mexican food I have ever had.. i mean this is the best I have ever had- aside from my abuelas! The chile verde blew my mind it was so good! Want to take another trip to Seattle just for this ”
“This sounds really cheesy especially for a chain restaurant but the staff is really nice and they seem like they actually make their food with love and care for the customer.”
“Really nice people and environment with amazing food! If you are on island you have to try it!Wheelchair accessibility: Parking directly in front and level to entrance no curbs or steps.”
“The aromatic scents called me in from the road. After a cold day working outside, I needed something warm to eat. I was greeted by a friendly cook who quickly took my order and began prepping my food. Within minutes, I had a hot and delicious gyro in my possession. With nice savory sauces, plenty of lettuce and pickled veggies, and tons of delicious hot lamb, this gyro is the best thing I've had on the island. The pita was warm and fresh which made the pairing of it all that much more enjoyable. You get a decent amount of food for only $11! Enough to share, definitely. I will be back again.”
